Massaging The Shooter Narrative<\/a><\/p>\n

I was actually looking for some different information last night when I came across this article, but after scanning it quickly for what I\u00a0WAS<\/em> looking for, I had to save it for a chance to Fisk it later on.<\/p>\n

The link goes to a New Orleans TV station WDSU, but the piece is identified in several places as straight out of the Associated Press feed, so I\u2019m not going to crack on the station for this. They are merely the presentation vehicle.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0article is titled<\/a>\u00a0\u201cRecent high-profile mass shootings in the United States<\/em>\u201d and what stopped me in my tracks wasn\u2019t so much the litany of horror. That tears your heart out no matter when or where it happens or to whom or how.<\/p>\n

No, what made me pause in the midst of that carnage was the verbiage. There\u2019s a deliberate pattern in the recitation of evil that you can\u2019t avoid, and it makes the underlying intent of the \u201creporting\u201d all the more suspect for the very obviousness of what\u2019s said and what isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Multiple innocent lives are gone \u2013 all taken by another human being (or beings) in every single case in this supposedly dispassionate register of tragedies. It\u2019s what\u2019s missing that gives one reason to carefully reread and\u00a0see if you\u2019ve missed something<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll assure you now \u2013 you haven\u2019t.<\/p>\n

The murderer can be described as a sex offender\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026but as not a violent illegal alien\u00a0who\u2019d been deported multiple times<\/a>\u00a0before preying on a houseful of neighboring illegals? He\u2019s just \u201ca man\u201d shooting up the house next door.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be interested to know that the Covenant School murderer was \u201ca former student at the school.<\/em>\u201d They don\u2019t even bother to identify the sex of the individual, so, if you lived under a rock, you\u2019d just assume it\u2019s merely another larping white kid spraying bullets.<\/p>\n

As you are meant to.<\/p>\n

The words \u201ctransgender\u201d and \u201cmanifesto\u201d are nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

Another school shooting like so many others is the implication. Move along.<\/p>\n

The non-binary shooter in the God-awful Colorado Springs gay nightclub assault is merely dubbed \u201cthe attacker.\u201d No mention of the possible\u00a0hate crime charges he\u2019s facing<\/a>, and, again, I wonder why.<\/p>\n

Especially since they make sure to hit all the buttons for another \u201chate crime,\u201d but this one works to their ends and to the administration\u2019s. The \u201creporters\u201d got really specific right off the bat for this incident. I didn\u2019t even have to highlight it for you.<\/p>\n
