White House Sends Out Guidance Mandating Face Masks and Social Distancing for the Unvaccinated.<\/a><\/p>\n On Monday, the White House will host NCAA men\u2019s and women\u2019s national championship teams from Divisions I, II, and III to \u201cCollege Athlete Day\u201d to celebrate their victories.<\/p>\n Prior to the event, the White House sent out an email invitation to members of Congress requesting their attendance at the event and some additional logistical information. And they included some helpful \u201cguidance\u201d about specific protocols. Among them: All unvaccinated guests were to wear masks and practice social distancing.<\/p>\n WTF?<\/p>\n \u201cMasking Guidance:\u00a0<\/strong>Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask on the White House grounds,\u201d the email states [bold font in original email]. \u201cGuests who are not fully vaccinated must wear a\u00a0mask at all times\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0maintain at least 6 feet distance<\/strong>\u00a0from others while on the White House grounds.\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n When queried\u00a0by Fox News<\/a>, the White House claimed the guidance was \u201cout of date\u201d and that they were planning to send out \u201cupdated guidance\u201d prior to Monday\u2019s event.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t these guys talk to their own scientists? Masks don\u2019t stop the spread of COVID. Vaccinations don\u2019t stop people from getting infected. Social distancing is of marginal effectiveness for those under 60 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n The White House email comes as hospitals and other health care facilities increasingly discard their masking rules with COVID becoming a smaller presence for most Americans in daily life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, experts have been calling into question the efficacy of face masks. A recent study published by the prestigious Cochrane Library, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, dug into the findings of 78 randomized controlled trials to determine whether \u201cphysical interventions\u201d \u2014 including face masks and hand-washing \u2014 lessened the spread of respiratory viruses.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The conclusion about masks undercuts the scientific basis for masking, according to the study\u2019s lead author.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I don\u2019t think that the White House made a mistake in sending out guidance that included the requirement that the unvaccinated be masked up. I think there is still a faction in the United States government that won\u2019t ever admit they were wrong about masking and the ability of vaccinations to stop the spread of COVID-19. Despite mountains of scientific evidence to the contrary, they will go to their grave believing in the efficacy of masks. And while the vaccines were shown\u00a0to substantially reduce<\/a>\u00a0hospitalizations and death from COVID, it was never even tested for their ability to prevent infections.<\/p>\n Will anyone ever hold them accountable \u2014 especially Joe Biden?<\/p>\n Biden<\/span>\u00a0previously attacked those unvaccinated against COVID<\/a>\u00a0for not doing the \u201cright thing\u201d and \u201ccosting all of us.\u201d He accused them of causing \u201ca lot of damage\u201d by \u201cmaking people sick and causing\u2026 people to die\u201d and standing in the way of \u201cgetting back to normal.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n When announcing his vaccine mandates last year, Biden warned those hesitant to receive the vaccination: \u201cWe\u2019ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Biden signed a bill in April that terminated much of the \u201cspecial authority\u201d the government said it had during the emergency.
