Now That the Whole World Knows We’re Low on Ammunition, Frantic Effort to Re-Arm Commences<\/a><\/p>\n

The entire world knows that the United States is low on firepower because President Joe Biden acted on his inexplicable desire to\u00a0blurt out<\/a>\u00a0such information on CNN, telling Fareed Zakaria, \u201cThis is a war relating to munitions. And [Ukraine]\u2026 is running out of that ammunition, and we\u2019re low on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also maintained that the shortage was one reason behind the controversial decision to send\u00a0cluster munitions<\/a>\u00a0to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Now the U.S. is scrambling to strengthen stockpiles, according to John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council. (By the way, what does that title even mean?)<\/p>\n

Appearing with Shannon Bream on \u201cFox News Sunday<\/a>,\u201d Kirby described the effort:<\/p>\n

We\u2019re working very closely with the defense industry to try to ramp up production, particularly for artillery shells\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

You saw that we gave some cluster munitions to Ukraine as a bridging solution here while we ramp up production. We\u2019re having very, very strong conversations with the defense industry and we believe that we\u2019ll be able to get there.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
