{"id":95268,"date":"2023-08-18T06:09:49","date_gmt":"2023-08-18T11:09:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=95268"},"modified":"2023-08-18T06:09:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T11:09:49","slug":"95268","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=95268","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tucson.com\/news\/local\/crime-courts\/intruder-shot-killed-tucson\/article_6a2720ac-3c66-11ee-aa35-9f03260a0820.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alleged intruder killed by woman near Tucson was sex offender<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A man deputies say was shot to death while trying to break in to a woman\u2019s home in a rural area near Tucson last week was a registered sex offender who lived nearby, records show.<\/p>\n<p>Jayson Magrum, 43, was shot dead Aug. 11 when the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department says he was trying to get into a house in Three Points, about 30 miles southwest of Tucson.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra Tracy, 54, was home alone when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>She told deputies she grabbed a gun and fired a warning shot through the window hoping it would scare the intruder away, according to an initial news release from the department.<\/p>\n<p>She fired a second time, striking Magrum.<\/p>\n<p>Responding deputies tried to revive Magrum, but he died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Magrum listed a residence in the same block of West Pyle Road where the alleged attempted break-in occurred, records shows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alleged intruder killed by woman near Tucson was sex offender A man deputies say was shot to death while trying to break in to a woman\u2019s home in a rural area near Tucson last week was a registered sex offender who lived nearby, records show.
