KDJ\u2019s \u2018Gun Myth\u2019 Fact Check: Liberals vs. Americans, Part 2: Mass Shootings.<\/a><\/p>\n As the United Police States of America continues to shred the Constitution into confetti, I thought I\u2019d continue with analysis of more of the applesauce the left is spewing as \u201cgun myths\u201d as they try to dismantle our Second Amendment rights.<\/p>\n A certain\u00a0brilliant radio talk show host<\/a>\u00a0posits that Democrats keep criminals on the streets for two reasons:<\/p>\n In other words, leftists encourage criminals to break the law and then use the crime stats as a means of taking guns from\u00a0We the People<\/em>. Mass shootings are especially tasty crimes for gun grabbers.<\/p>\n FACT-O-RAMA!\u00a0A mass shooting is<\/span>\u00a0defined<\/a>\u00a0as four or more people shot, not including the shooter(s), in a fluid situation. Meaning, If I blaze up a Denny\u2019s and shoot three people, go home, take a nap, catch the 3:10 showing of \u201cBarbie,\u201d and shoot three more in the theatre, this is not a mass shooting.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Let\u2019s take a look at what the leftoids at Johns Hopkins University (JHU)\u00a0are saying<\/a>\u00a0about mass shootings:<\/p>\n MYTH: IN MOST MASS SHOOTINGS, PERPETRATORS DO NOT KNOW THE PEOPLE THEY KILL.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n FACT:\u00a0Nearly 70% of mass shootings involve domestic violence,<\/span>\u00a0Lisa Geller, MPH<\/a>, state affairs advisor for the Center, told<\/span>\u00a012 News in Arizona<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In a<\/span>\u00a0study published in 2021<\/a>, Geller and colleagues found that in over 68% of mass shootings, the perpetrator killed at least one partner or family member and had a history of domestic violence.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The JHU crowd conveniently changed an \u201cor\u201d to an \u201cand\u201d to create a lie.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n JHU wrote (emphasis added): \u201cGeller and colleagues found that in over 68% of mass shootings, the perpetrator killed at least one partner or family member\u00a0and<\/strong>\u00a0had a history of domestic violence.\u201d But when I looked at their source, I found this: \u201cWe found that 59.1% of mass shootings between 2014 and 2019 were DV (domestic violence)-related and in 68.2% of mass shootings, the perpetrator either killed at least one partner or family member\u00a0or<\/strong>\u00a0had a history of DV.\u201d<\/p>\n Yes, it\u2019s safe to assume that a wacko who perforates his own family probably has a history of domestic violence.<\/p>\n Also, the\u00a0research<\/a>\u00a0JHU is using involves \u201cFatal mass shootings, defined as four or more people killed by gunfire, excluding the perpetrator,\u201d whereas the aforementioned myth refers to mass shootings. What\u2019s the difference between a mass shooting and a \u201cfatal\u201d mass shooting?\u201d Four (or more) dead people.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Using the same data bank,\u00a0gunviolencearchive.com<\/a>, we can see there were 27 mass shootings (fatal or otherwise) from Aug. 15, 2023, until this writing. Of those, only two were \u201cfatal\u201d mass shootings that involved four or more people killed. Both were domestic, family-related \u201cmurder-sueys,\u201d one in\u00a0Ohio<\/a>\u00a0involving a white family with\u00a0no known prior history<\/a>\u00a0of domestic violence and one in\u00a0Oklahoma<\/a>, a Hispanic family.<\/p>\n SHOT SPOTTER-O-RAMA!\u00a0As of this writing, there have been<\/span>\u00a0100,726 rounds<\/a>\u00a0detected as being fired in Chicago this year.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Why would JHU lie, omit, and bend data to \u201cprove\u201d that a majority of mass shooters know their victims and are also guilty of \u201cdomestic violence?\u201d Because the truth of mass shootings is something they can\u2019t discuss: most are not committed by angry white goobers in MAGA hats, as the clowns in the mainstream media would have us believe. Most mass shootings are drug, gang, or party-related, take place in large, blue cities, and\u00a0do not involve<\/a>\u00a0white shooters.<\/p>\n Festival of Lead Fast Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n I count five shootings at parties, bars, festivals, etc., involving 31 victims. Did they all know their shooters? Unlikely.<\/p>\n FACT-O-RAMA!\u00a0Four people were killed and 32 wounded at a\u00a0Sweet 16 birthday party<\/a>\u00a0in Dadeville, Ala., in April of this year. Two were killed and 28 injured at another\u00a0block party last month<\/a>\u00a0in Baltimore. One was killed and 22 injured at an outdoor\u00a0Juneteenth party<\/a>\u00a0just outside Chicago. All the known victims and shooters were black. That\u2019s 89 victims in only three shootings. Get-togethers,\u00a0block parties<\/a>, festivals, etc. are\u00a0increasingly dangerous<\/a>\u00a0events for young, black Americans in Democrat cities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Here is a tasty morsel the JHU crowd also learned but decided not to mention:<\/p>\n Mass shooting fatalities account for a small percentage (1%) of firearm homicide fatalities in the United States, but they receive a substantial amount of media attention and may drive political discourse on gun violence\u2026.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Here are a few more fun-filled facts about Mass shootings;<\/p>\n Seventy percent of mass shootings do not involve domestic violence.
