Yet every step of the way, the Biden administration has sought to hamper any laws that would curb this violence.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"1\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2022\/jun\/15\/biden-executive-order-anti-trans-laws-and-conversion-therapy\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-1\">1<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0For the federal government, downplaying the violence of transgenderism is just as crucial as skewing statistics on firearm deaths. Creating the illusion that transgenderism and violence are separate issues is a task that never ends, resulting in confusion and false impressions. After all, without mountains of rhetoric and manufactured evidence, the average person would be inclined to assume transgenderism is a \u201cred flag\u201d for gun ownership.<\/p>\n<p>As it is, sifting through these statistics on transgenderism is a bit of a challenge. Selective data collection has plagued transgender crime statistics for quite some time.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"2\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/news\/hrc-report-state-and-federal-officials-failing-lgbtq-community-in-data-coll\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-2\">2<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Some studies believe that transgender people are being misgendered at death and that they are actually four times more likely to be a victim of violence.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"3\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.advocate.com\/crime\/2021\/3\/23\/trans-people-four-times-likely-face-violent-crime-cis\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-3\">3<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Further complicating the matter, the FBI crime statistics currently list almost 10% of murder offenders as\u00a0<em>\u201cunknown gender.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/251886\/murder-offenders-in-the-us-by-gender\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/graphic\/1\/251886\/murder-offenders-in-the-us-by-gender.jpg\" alt=\"Statistic: Number of murder offenders in the United States in 2021, by gender  | Statista\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/graphic\/1\/251886\/murder-offenders-in-the-us-by-gender.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite our limited studies, the information we do have indicates the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/transgender\/transgenderism-and-violence-a-truly-monstrous-narrative\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/transgender\/transgenderism-and-violence-a-truly-monstrous-narrative\/\">transgender community has an intense predisposition to violence.<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transgender individuals consider and attempt suicide at extremely high rates.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"4\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/1377568\/us-trans-suicide-rate-by-sex\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-4\">4<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Sexual minorities are 3x more likely to be incarcerated<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"5\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC5227944\/pdf\/AJPH.2016.303576.pdf\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-5\">5<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Transgender individuals experience a \u201cdramatically higher\u201d prevalence of intimate partner violence.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"6\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/ajph.aphapublications.org\/doi\/abs\/10.2105\/AJPH.2020.305774\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-6\">6<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Gay and Transgender Youth are 2x more likely to be in the juvenile justice system<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"7\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/cdn.americanprogress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/issues\/2012\/06\/pdf\/juvenile_justice.pdf\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-7\">7<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even though the studies are scarce, the association between transgenderism and violent offenses is inescapable. To those who have already made this connection, the shooting at Covenant School was a tragedy, not a surprise.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The murderer, a woman identifying as a transgender gay man, deliberately chose the Christian school for her final act of bloodshed, killing six people on March 27, 2023. While the Christians wept the following weeks, some decided that praying wasn\u2019t enough. Even though the president of the nation was voicing his\u00a0<em>support<\/em>\u00a0of the extremist transgender community,<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"8\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/white-house-says-trans-community-under-attack-nashville-shooting\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-8\">8<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0some pastors were undeterred. When fellow Christians had been murdered in their backyard, some thought they would appeal to the graves of the saints to join Biden in the push for\u00a0<em>\u201cExtreme Risk Protection Orders,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>\u201cRed Flag Laws.\u201d<\/em><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"9\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2023\/03\/14\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-reduce-gun-violence-and-make-our-communities-safer\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-9\">9<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0In fact, Tennessee governor Bill Lee was praised by the Biden administration, who sought to expand existing red flag laws while simultaneously obscuring the language of a \u201cqualifying mental disorder.\u201d<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop\" data-mfn=\"10\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/20\/tennessee-gov-bill-lee-wont-say-whether-he-classifies-transgenderism-as-psychological-disorder-in-gun-grab-proposal\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-10\">10<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Politicians were already at work, fabricating the transgender victimhood narrative. The only question is, what would Christians do to fight the deception?<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"platform\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using The Platform<\/h2>\n<p>In the wake of the Covenant school, it didn\u2019t take long before some saw it as a political opportunity. David French was one of those people. His editorial, published two days after the murders, starts by citing his close connection to the school. \u201cI know Covenant. I belonged to P.C.A. churches for 18 years\u2026\u201d he said.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"11\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230628121107\/https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/03\/29\/opinion\/nashville-shooting-prayer.html\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-11\">11<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0In typical David French fashion, the article quickly devolved into liberal antics. \u201cMy family has received years of ugly threats from the Trumpist right, and I\u2019m keenly aware of the need for self-defense. But I\u2019ve also called for \u2018red flag\u2019 laws\u2026\u201d French further suggested that the Christians killed by the transgender terrorist could have been prevented if Tennessee had these laws in place. The article finally ends with a call to action \u2013 to address the \u201cterrible scourge of violence that scars our land.\u201d Out of context, it would sound like he was referring to abortion or transgenderism. In context, French was trying to use the death of these Christians as an argument against\u00a0<em>\u201cgun idolatry\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>\u201cgun fetishists.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Christians dying at the hand of a transgender terrorist wasn\u2019t good enough for French: they needed to be martyrs for liberalism.<\/p>\n<p>Others in the area took a more subtle approach to activism. Randy is the lead pastor of Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN \u2013 about 20 minutes from Covenant School. His church is a part of the\u00a0<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"PCA\" href=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/category\/the-church\/pca\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">PCA<\/a>, planted by members of Christ Presbyterian Church and initially led by Scotty Smith. Through the years,<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop\" data-mfn=\"12\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/christcommunity.org\/history\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-12\">12<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0the church has been led by several pastors, including Mike Smith and David Cassidy.<\/p>\n<p>The first Sunday after the murders (Palm Sunday \u2013 April 2, 2023), Pastor Randy Lovelace took his place at the pulpit. Instead of immediately opening with prayer, Pastor Randy invited another family onto the stage. This particular family was well-connected with Covenant School in both a teacher and student capacity. After praying for the family and all affected by the murders, Pastor Lovelace began his sermon by informing his congregation that he would preach\u00a0<a class=\"esv-crossref-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esv.org\/verses\/Psalm%2034\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psalm 34<\/a>\u00a0instead.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote text-end\"><p>\u201c\u2026instead of vitriol, I need and I pray for the fruit of the spirit to be born out in this community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><cite>Pastor Randy Lovelace, \u201cBehold Our God: Delighting in the Son \u2013 The Lord is Near\u201d (Sunday Sermon April 2, 2023)<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"13\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EIruz-i_0HU\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-13\">13<\/a><\/sup><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Two weeks later, it seemed as if the message had changed. Pastor Lovelace found himself on WPLN, a local radio show, in a panel interview about how his Christian community has been handling the tragedy. The pastor clarified that thoughts and prayers were important; however, he also emphasized that sending \u201cthoughts and prayers\u201d can often be seen as tripe: \u201cI don\u2019t want to judge the person saying it, but there is action that can be done. There are things we can do. We are not inactive.\u201d Lovelace eventually agreed with a Black woman (who claimed to be a pastor) that we could be political without being partisan. \u201cBut there are people who are being incentivized to keep us divided. They want to call it politicization when in fact, we\u2019re just engaging as citizens in a democratic republic from a position of faith\u2026\u201d<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"14\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/wpln.org\/post\/episodes\/how-nashvilles-christian-communities-are-responding-to-the-covenant-school-shooting\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-14\">14<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The woman on the panel, Kelli X, described herself as \u201cvery political\u201d and a glance at her church website proves it. Kelli proudly uses her ministry to partner with abortion advocacy organizations like Planned Parenthood and Protect Our Care.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"15\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/welcometothevillage.org\/leadership#:~:text=Kelli%20X%20is%20the%20Pastor,Rev.\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-15\">15<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0If Lovelace had intended to mobilize for the protection of the community, it was not clear how murder advocates were going to help.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, a letter was submitted to Tennessee lawmakers with Pastor Randy\u2019s name attached. Representing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/slice\/tennessee-faith-leaders-letter-to-legislators\/\">\u201cFaith Leaders,\u201d the letter encouraged legislators<\/a>\u00a0to \u201cprotect our kids\u201d and asked for red flag laws, additional background checks on citizens, and \u201csafe storage\u201d legislation. If this was meant to be nonpartisan political action, it couldn\u2019t have done a worse job. Of the 130+ signers, most hailed from a denomination that actively\u00a0<em>supported<\/em>\u00a0murder. From the PCUSA to Reform Judaism, most of these liberal groups actively supported infanticide and publicly affirmed the notoriously violent transgender movement.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"16\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.pcusa.org\/news\/2022\/5\/17\/reproductive-justice-and-pcusa\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-16\">16<\/a><\/sup><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"17\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/resources\/stances-of-faiths-on-lgbt-issues-presbyterian-church-usa\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-17\">17<\/a><\/sup><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"18\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/reformjudaism.org\/learning\/answers-jewish-questions\/what-reform-jewish-perspective-abortion\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-18\">18<\/a><\/sup><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"19\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/resources\/stances-of-faiths-on-lgbt-issues-reform-judaism\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-19\">19<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>It took three weeks for Lovelace to go from a season of mourning to a season of politicking. Like French, Lovelace simply couldn\u2019t allow a good tragedy to go to waste, forcing these murders into a Left-wing narrative for political purposes. Those who resist liberal frameworks found his activism shocking and even disgusting. Most Christians cannot collaborate with those who base their religion around affirming castration, mutilation, violence to self, and death. Lovelace\u2019s latest attempt to shoehorn this act of religious terrorism into a call for \u201cred flag\u201d laws indicated to many the true extent of his motivations.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"first-time\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not The First Time<\/h2>\n<p>As strange and unexpected as this might have been, Lovelace was not the first lead pastor of Christ Community Church to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/slice\/public-support-for-transgenderism\/\">publicly support<\/a>\u00a0liberal policies. Almost a month after the shooting, former pastor David Cassidy posted an article urging politicians to<em>\u00a0\u201cget to work\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and claimed that gun violence was\u00a0<em>\u201cthe leading cause of death among children in this nation\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 a patently false observation.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"20\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"Manipulative media will often cite this statistic. However, it typically refers to a study that excludes children under one year of age and includes legal adults(18-19 years of age).\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-20\">20<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0In fact, when confronted about these lies, the publisher of Cassidy\u2019s article refused to retract the statement.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"21\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/theaquilareport.com\/retraction-refused-the-pcas-magazine-stands-by-its-claims-in-david-cassidys-prayer-and-work-in-the-face-of-violence\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-21\">21<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>But ByFaith wasn\u2019t the only publication looking to capitalize on the graves of the saints. The day after the murders, Joe Carter published an article with The Gospel Coalition, suggesting that Christians consider supporting red flag laws.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"22\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/article\/faqs-school-shootings\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-22\">22<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The same day, Scotty Smith (Founding pastor of Christ Community Church) published a prayer on his TGC blog featuring a picture of one of the victim\u2019s family photos.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote text-end\"><p>\u201cFree us to live and love towards the Day when\u00a0<strong><em>all<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0swords, spears, and guns will become instruments of tilling, gardening, and mutual nourishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><cite>Scotty Smith, \u201cHold Us Tighter Jesus\u201d \u2013 March 28, 2023<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"23\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/blogs\/scotty-smith\/hold-us-tighter-jesus\/\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-23\">23<\/a><\/sup><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A few weeks later, it seemed like Scotty meant to bring that day about on his terms. Joining the other liberal \u201cfaith leaders,\u201d Scotty added his signature to the letter sent to the TN legislators, urging them to pass red flag laws. But after the killing, PCA pastors weren\u2019t the only ones interested in capitalizing.<\/p>\n<p>On April 19, about three weeks after the murders, Randy Davis and Brent Leatherwood utilized their positions to make a similar special request. As president of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and the head of the SBC\u2019s public policy arm, the letter made clear that they believed Governor Lee\u2019s red flag laws were \u201cdesperately needed.\u201d<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"24\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/www.baptistpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Tennessee-Order-of-Protection-Letter-TN-pastors.pdf\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-24\">24<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Leatherwood, Smith, Cassidy, and Lovelace\u2019s activism, Tennessee newspapers could finally describe radical Left-wing legislation as having the support of \u201cConservative Christians.\u201d In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Conservative Christians have often resisted support for red flag laws.<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop\" data-mfn=\"25\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"https:\/\/rpubs.com\/ryanburge\/gun_control_ces22\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-25\">25<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Yet, despite the overwhelmingly negative response, these Christian leaders had no problem advocating the opposite. Siding with murder advocates and degeneracy enablers, those speaking for \u201cconservative Christians\u201d actively resisted the beliefs of the people they claimed to represent. These men saw that every Christian death at Covenant School would be utilized for Left-wing progressivism. Some of you may be inclined to attribute malice to every one of these actors. After all, they have proven that motivation is irrelevant \u2013 depriving the saints of their martyrdom to leverage their deaths for liberalism is simply\u00a0<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"unconscionable\" href=\"https:\/\/unconscionable.life\/about\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">unconscionable<\/a>. However, if you believe these men acted out of ignorance, not malice, the problems with their actions do not just disappear.<\/p>\n<p>For the average Christian, attending these churches in good conscience is impossible. How can you sit in a pew and listen to a pastor who would immediately use your death for their own liberal activism? For the majority of Christians, their own death would be used to support the policies they opposed while alive.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the problem of lies. If your pastor or Christian leader regularly entertains false reports and utilizes them against fellow Christians, continuing to trust them becomes impossible. But the 9th commandment covers more than just blatant falsehoods. The Westminster Larger Catechism reminds us that \u201cgiving false evidence\u2026 wittingly appearing and pleading for an evil cause\u2026 speaking the truth unseasonably, or maliciously to a wrong end, or perverting it to a wrong meaning, or in doubtful and equivocal expressions\u2026 receiving and countenancing evil reports\u201d<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"27\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157\"><a title=\"http:\/\/thewestminsterstandards.com\/wlc-145-what-are-the-sins-forbidden-in-the-ninth-commandment\" role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000521e66bf000000006d151064_2157-27\">27<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0are all sins under the 9th commandment. The mishandling of facts and lies by these men is nothing short of egregious. With this in mind, the intention behind the action becomes irrelevant.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I didn\u2019t have to write this post. I am sure that everyone would have preferred to grieve in peace. I am quickly reminded, however, that activists bear that label for a reason. Liberalism never rests; those caught unawares are drawn into it with little resistance.<\/p>\n<p>We live in a time when transgenderism and violence are affirmed and encouraged by the federal government. When that messaging and rhetoric inevitably result in a transgender terrorist attacking Christians, our response to it matters.
