Statistics Norway, aka Statistisk sentralbyr\u00e5 or \u201cthe national statistical institute of Norway and the main producer of official statistics\u201d, has just published a paper \u201cTo what extent are temperature levels changing due to greenhouse gas emissions?\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The awkward part isn\u2019t trying to grasp the subtleties of Norwegian since it\u2019s also available in English. It\u2019s that the Abstract bluntly declares that \u201cstandard climate models are rejected by time series data on global temperatures\u201d while the conclusions state \u201cthe results imply that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be sufficiently strong to cause systematic changes in the pattern of the temperature fluctuations.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But the really awkward part is that a paper from a government agency dares to address openly so many questions the alarmist establishment has spent decades declaring taboo, from the historical record on climate to the existence of massive uncertainty among scientists on it.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What the Norwegians did was conduct statistical analyses of observed and reconstructed temperature series and test whether the recent fluctuation in temperatures differs systematically from previous temperature cycles potentially due to the emission of greenhouse gases. For example, the researchers gathered all the data from various sources, including those related to the four previous glacial and inter-glacial periods, and did a statistical analysis to see how more recent\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssb.no\/en\/natur-og-miljo\/forurensning-og-klima\/artikler\/to-what-extent-are-temperature-levels-changing-due-to-greenhouse-gas-emissions\/_\/attachment\/inline\/5a3f4a9b-3bc3-4988-9579-9fea82944264:f63064594b9225f9d7dc458b0b70a646baec3339\/DP1007.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global Climate Models (GCMs)<\/a>\u00a0compare.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In the global climate models (GCMs) most of the warming that has taken place since 1950 is attributed to human activity. Historically, however, there have been large climatic variations. Temperature reconstructions indicate that there is a \u2018warming\u2019 trend that seems to have been going on for as long as approximately 400 years. Prior to the last 250 years or so, such a trend could only be due to natural causes.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The length of the observed time series is consequently of crucial importance for analyzing empirically the pattern of temperature fluctuations and to have any hope of distinguishing natural variations in temperatures from man-made ones. Fortunately, many observed temperature series are significantly longer than 100 years and in addition, as mentioned above, there are reconstructed temperature series that are much longer.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I was recently discussing the fact that Earth is warming from its last glaciation period. The Norwegian statisticians\u2019 comprehensive temperature review takes the long view into account by looking at the last 420,000 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"post_text\">\n<div class=\"post_text_inner\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/LI-037-Glacial-and-Interglacial-Periods-e1697508039896.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/LI-037-Glacial-and-Interglacial-Periods-e1697508039896.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The statisticians take all the data, show their calculations, offer their explanations, and\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssb.no\/en\/natur-og-miljo\/forurensning-og-klima\/artikler\/to-what-extent-are-temperature-levels-changing-due-to-greenhouse-gas-emissions\/_\/attachment\/inline\/5a3f4a9b-3bc3-4988-9579-9fea82944264:f63064594b9225f9d7dc458b0b70a646baec3339\/DP1007.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">come to the following conclusion<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In this paper we have reviewed data on climate and temperatures in the past and ascertained that there have been large (non-stationary) temperature fluctuations resulting from natural causes.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Subsequently, we have summarized recent work on statistical analyses on the ability of the GCMs to track historical temperature data. These studies have demonstrated that the time series of the difference between the global temperature and the corresponding hindcast from the GCMs is non-stationary. Thus, these studies raise serious doubts about whether the GCMs are able to distinguish natural variations in temperatures from variations caused by man-made emissions of CO2.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026[T]he results imply that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be sufficiently strong to cause systematic changes in the pattern of the temperature fluctuations. In other words, our analysis indicates that with the current level of knowledge, it seems impossible to determine how much of the temperature increase is due to emissions of CO2.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I get to place another item in the \u201c<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/the-pipeline.org\/cold-norwegian-water-douses-climate-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leslie Was Right<\/a>\u201d files.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026 Norwegian brains decided to double-check the work of the climate crowd, only to discover a massive fraud. The overly simplistic \u201cgreenhouse effect\u201d account of rising CO2 levels correlating perfectly with rising global temperatures fell apart upon further examination.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026[W]e skeptics have been right all along<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Why are Norway statisticians bravely publishing this treatise destroying climate cult theology?
