The Last Three Years Prove We Need The Second Amendment More Than Ever<\/a><\/p>\n

Guns can save your life and your livelihood but only if your right to own them hasn\u2019t been taken from you.<\/em><\/p>\n

The right to keep and bear arms has long been under attack but now, as violent crime, international terrorism, and grave abuses of government power abound, Americans need the Second Amendment more than ever.<\/p>\n

A majority of Americans<\/a> say they already own or want to own guns in the future. Nearly three-fourths of gun owners polled cited protection as a major reason for retaining their firearms.<\/p>\n

For anyone paying attention to the rapid erosion of Americans\u2019 civil liberties over the last few years, pro-Second Amendment sentiments like this shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise.<\/p>\n

In 2020, during the height of government-mandated lockdowns, Americans were sentenced to their homes with\u00a0court-ordered ankle monitors<\/a>,\u00a0dragged off of public buses<\/a>\u00a0for refusing to wear a mask, and\u00a0fired<\/a>\u00a0from their jobs<\/a>\u00a0over a shot that\u00a0didn\u2019t even do what the government said it would<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Around that same time, crime spiked and race rioters in cities all across the nation dealt\u00a0billions of dollars worth<\/a>\u00a0of damage to civilian and\u00a0government buildings alike<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Americans were confronted by\u00a0violent<\/a>\u00a0crowds on their streets,\u00a0at their businesses<\/a>, and even on\u00a0their front lawns<\/a>. The chaos quickly turned\u00a0deadly<\/a> but that didn\u2019t stop leftists from pushing a national campaign to defund the armed law enforcement sworn to protect civilians.<\/p>\n

The crime problem was only exacerbated when Democrat mayors and district attorneys committed to releasing violent criminals back into the streets in the name of \u201cequity.\u201d Their soft-on-crime policies are almost\u00a0exclusively responsible for the murder rates<\/a>\u00a0in the nation\u2019s top 10 most homicidal states.<\/p>\n

Those numbers aren\u2019t helped by the millions of people, including\u00a0convicted criminals<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0potential terrorists<\/a>, who began pouring freely across our open Southern border the moment President Joe Biden took office.<\/p>\n

In the last few weeks alone, Americans learned that the FBI\u00a0targets Trump voters as domestic extremists<\/a>, judges will\u00a0gladly overstep their bounds<\/a>\u00a0to dictate Americans\u2019 right to free speech, and a former first lady and failed presidential candidate can make\u00a0public calls for re-education programs for conservatives<\/a>\u00a0without scrutiny from her party or the press.<\/p>\n

They also learned in the wake of the massacre in Israel that\u00a0strict gun laws<\/a> make people vulnerable to surprise attacks that not even trained military can quell quickly enough.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a tough pill to swallow but one that everyone should be thinking about as pro-terrorist, antisemitic, anti-American sentiments brood\u00a0at home<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0abroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you voted for former President Donald Trump, believe life in the womb should be protected, want a say in your child\u2019s education, think traditional Catholicism is a good thing, or even discuss FBI and Department of Justice corruption, you are probably considered a threat to the people responsible for Washington\u2019s worsening authoritarian bent.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0two-tiered system of justice<\/a>\u00a0will eventually come for you and\u00a0your firearms<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gunning for Guns<\/h2>\n

The chaos of the last few years hasn\u2019t stopped the government from infringing on its constituents\u2019 Second Amendment rights. In fact, Americans\u2019 decision to buy some\u00a060 million guns<\/a> since 2020 has fueled the campaign to make those purchases more difficult.<\/p>\n

President Joe Biden has repeatedly questioned why Americans need to protect themselves,\u00a0especially from the government<\/a>, and suggested taking away Americans\u2019 access to mainstream, popular guns like the AR-15 and\u00a09mm pistols.<\/a><\/p>\n

Under Biden, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms shut down\u00a0500 percent more federally licensed firearm dealers<\/a>\u00a0than in previous years. Some of these gun retailers lost their jobs over simple paperwork flukes that,\u00a0in years past, the ATF helped them rectify.<\/a><\/p>\n

Biden and the ATF also colluded to turn\u00a0the\u00a0up to 40 million<\/a>\u00a0Americans who legally obtained pistol brace-equipped firearms into felons overnight and attempted to\u00a0ban gun-building kits<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Congress, establishment Republicans\u00a0teamed up with Democrats<\/a>\u00a0to pass a bill that gave law enforcement permission to temporarily confiscate guns from anyone the government deems a danger, a provision that partisan bureaucrats could easily exploit.<\/p>\n

The Second Amendment was created by the founders so Americans could\u00a0protect themselves and their property, and provide common defense<\/a>. The last thing that stands between tyrants taking over our country and us are firearms.<\/p>\n

Owning a gun is primarily a deterrent. It shows the government and anyone else threatening you and your family that you won\u2019t allow your right to life, liberty, and property to become easily curtailed.<\/p>\n

If the time comes, proper use of that firearm\u00a0can be used to save your life and your livelihood<\/a>. But only if your right to own that gun hasn\u2019t already been taken from you.<\/p>\n
