Why couldn&#8217;t I call a Democrat?<\/p>\n<p>A new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/weaponization\/status\/1717936185018917300?s=42\" rel=\"\">report about IRS home visits<\/a>\u00a0has just been released by the House Weaponization of Government Committee, chaired by Ohio congressman Jim Jordan. It outlines disturbing issues, including confirmation that IRS agents making home visits may come without warning, using aliases, and without informing local enforcement agencies of their presence.<\/p>\n<p>One of the cases outlined is my own. My home was visited by the IRS while I was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e2QGUKcDH8Q\" rel=\"\">testifying<\/a>\u00a0before Jordan\u2019s Committee about the Twitter Files on March 9<sup>th<\/sup>. Sincere thanks are due to Chairman Jordan, whose staff not only demanded and got\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.racket.news\/p\/my-crazy-irs-case\" rel=\"\">answers<\/a>\u00a0in my case, but achieved a concrete\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.racket.news\/p\/in-rare-good-news-irs-to-curtail\" rel=\"\">policy change<\/a>, as IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/24\/us\/politics\/irs-surprise-visits.html\" rel=\"\">announced<\/a>\u00a0in July new procedures that would \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/irs-to-end-most-unannounced-home-visits-reversing-decades-long-practice-after-alleged-abuses\/\" rel=\"\">end most<\/a>\u201d home visits.<\/p>\n<p>Anticipating criticism for expressing public thanks to a Republican congressman, I\u2019d like to ask Democratic Party partisans: to which elected Democrat should I have appealed for help in this matter? The one who called me a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6322225845112\" rel=\"\">so-called journalist<\/a>\u201d on the House floor? The one who told me to take off my \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/10\/the-censorship-complex-isnt-a-tinfoil-hat-conspiracy-and-the-twitter-files-just-dropped-more-proof\/\" rel=\"\">tinfoil hat<\/a>\u201d and put greater trust in intelligence services? The ones in leadership who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leefang.com\/p\/house-democrat-threatens-twitter\" rel=\"\">threatened me with jail time<\/a>? I gave votes to the party for thirty years. Which elected Democrat would have performed basic constituent services in my case?
