Bystander Shoots Someone\u2019s Attacker 5 Times<\/a><\/p>\n

In North Carolina, a female bystander who was armed came to the victim\u2019s aid after an attacker shot him in the face.<\/p>\n

Police in Shelby, North Carolina, said on November 6th that 33-year-old Unterio M. Jolly got into an argument with another man on the street.<\/p>\n

The two guys eventually went in different directions, but according to Capt. Seth Treadway, Jolly found the other man and confronted him with a\u00a0handgun\u00a0about half an hour later.<\/p>\n

Jolly allegedly then shot the man he had been arguing with in the face. A woman with a concealed carry permit stepped in to help him and shot his attacker five times.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen they kind of go their separate ways, and about half an hour after, Unterio shows up with a gun and shoots (the man) in the face and the shoulder,\u201d Capt. Seth Treadway said. \u201cRight after he does that\u2026 a concerned citizen shoots back, trying to protect (the man) and hits Jolly about five times. She shoots him five times.\u201d<\/p>\n

The attacker suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and Jolly\u2019s gunshot wound left him in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Jolly is being charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and assault.<\/p>\n

The Shelby police said, \u201cWe will consult with the District Attorney\u2019s Office later in the day to see if those charges need to stay the same,\u201d and continued, \u201cI do not expect any charges on the person that returned fire.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
