{"id":97964,"date":"2023-11-22T18:10:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T00:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=97964"},"modified":"2023-11-22T18:10:46","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T00:10:46","slug":"97964","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=97964","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2nd-amendment\/2023\/11\/21\/harvard-poll-6-in-10-voters-say-owning-gun-necessary-part-self-defense-against-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harvard Poll: 6 in 10 Voters Say Owning a Gun is a Necessary Part of Self-Defense Against Crime<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"subheading\">A Harvard\/Harris poll conducted November 15-16, 2023, shows six in ten voters believe owning a gun is a necessary part of protecting themselves from criminals.<\/p>\n<p>Poll researchers\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/harvardharrispoll.com\/key-results-november-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">asked<\/a>: \u201cDo you think crime and safety in your community is getting better, worse, or staying about the same?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Forty-two percent of voters said \u201cworse,\u201d versus 21 percent who said better. (Forty-nine percent of independents were among those who said crime is worsening.)<\/p>\n<p>Researchers asked, \u201cDo you think you need to have a gun today in case you are attacked by criminals, or do you think owning a gun is unnecessary?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A majority of voters across the board\u2013whether Democrat, Republican, or independent\u2013answered in the affirmative.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Broken down by party affiliation, 54 percent of Democrats said owning a gun is necessary, 77 percent of Republicans, and 56 percent of independents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Moreover, a majority of American voters believe \u201cwoke politicians\u201d are a driving force behind crime in the United States.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Fifty-five percent of voters concurred that \u201cWoke politicians are to blame for rising crime,\u201d while 45 percent disagreed.
