{"id":98126,"date":"2023-11-29T17:37:15","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T23:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=98126"},"modified":"2023-11-29T17:37:15","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T23:37:15","slug":"98126","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=98126","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13memphis.com\/news\/robber-shot-killed-during-robbery-at-dollar-general-memphis-police-say\/article_649b9402-8e1d-11ee-912c-0368e93cd9b9.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robber shot, killed during robbery at Dollar General,<\/a><\/p>\n<p>MEMPHIS, Tenn. &#8211; A robber died after being shot during a robbery at a Dollar General store in Memphis on Tuesday, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).<\/p>\n<p>MPD said three people began robbing the Dollar General on Winchester Road around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.<\/p>\n<p>During the robbery, someone witnessed the crime and shot at the suspects, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>One of those alleged robbers was hit by the gunfire and rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Another of the alleged robbers was quickly arrested but the third ran away, MPD said.<\/p>\n<p>The person who shot at the robbers was detained at the scene but no charges were immediately announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s horrible to hear that someone actually lost their life,\u201d Crystal Blair told FOX13. \u201cBut that\u2019s what\u2019s going on in Memphis and we need to really take this seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blair owns a business down the street from the scene of the botched robbery. She said her store opened three months ago and had already been broken into twice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t even stay open after dark anymore,\u201d Blair said. \u201cI\u2019m really hoping when the new mayor comes in that he has a plan.
