{"id":98260,"date":"2023-12-04T17:02:20","date_gmt":"2023-12-04T23:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=98260"},"modified":"2023-12-04T17:02:20","modified_gmt":"2023-12-04T23:02:20","slug":"98260","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=98260","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crpa.org\/news\/blogs\/crpa-files-suit-against-la-sheriffs-department-to-enforce-ccw-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRPA Files Suit Against LA Sheriff\u2019s Department To Enforce CCW Policies<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moments ago,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/crpa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/23.12.04-Filing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/crpa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/23.12.04-Filing.pdf\">CRPA filed suit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s office<\/a>\u00a0challenging the \u201cconstitutionality of (its) carry permit issuance policies and laws that make it extremely difficult, if not outright impossible or impermissibly time consuming\u201d for such a permit to be obtained.<\/p>\n<p>Ever since the announcement of the\u00a0<em>Bruen\u00a0<\/em>decision, CRPA has fought to bring CCW application\u00a0and issuance processes in line with the new standard.\u00a0 Still, certain jurisdictions drag their feet and continue to create unnecessary delays, add onerous fees, and implement other bureaucratic hurdles to stall CCW issuance (as evidenced by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CRPAnews\/status\/1730330126452236780\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CRPAnews\/status\/1730330126452236780\">responses to our poll<\/a>\u00a0late last week).<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s filing is the next step in this ongoing effort. Joining us in this lawsuit are our strategic partners at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.saf.org\/\">Second Amendment Foundation<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunowners.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.gunowners.org\">Gun Owners of America<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunownersca.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.gunownersca.com\/\">Gun Owners of California<\/a>.
