Homeowner Shoots Knife Wielding 19-Year-Old Transient

On Sunday, Bullhead City Police arrested Elijah Christian Cole Abel, age 19, on two counts each of attempted aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.

According to the Bullhead City Police Department, at about 4:30 a.m., police received a call of a shooting at the Marina Villas Riverfront Condos, 1800 Clubhouse Drive, where an unknown man was shot and had fled the scene.

It was reported to police that an unknown man, who was dressed in a black sweatshirt with the hood on and mask covering his face, was inside the condominiums. One of the residents confronted the suspicious male who was looking inside parked cars and told him he needed to leave the complex. The male suspect said he was looking for cigarettes. The resident, who was carrying a baseball bat by his side, followed the suspicious male for several minutes telling him again that he needed to leave the property. The man refused to leave and threw a rock at the resident and then came at the resident with a knife. The resident struck the man with a baseball bat. As the resident started to back away, the male suspect reportedly continued to walk towards the resident with a knife.

Another resident saw the altercation and told the man to leave. It was reported that the suspect continued to walk toward the first resident with a knife held up in his hand. The second resident then fired several rounds at the suspect. The suspect jumped over the wall that surrounds the complex and fled on foot.

About two hours later, police were notified that a man was at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center being treated for a gun shot wound. He was shot once in his leg. The suspect was identified as Abel, who is from the Washington area and had been living in Bullhead City as a transient for approximately three months. He was additionally arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Washington State for failure to follow conditions of parole. He was later released from the hospital and booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

The two residents of the condominium complex did not report any injuries. The condominium complex is surrounded by 5-6 feet high block walls with locked gates. No trespass signs are also posted around the property.

The female resident told dispatch she had discharged her firearm but was unsure if she had struck the male. Officers arrived on scene and located the male in the front of the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

The 36-year-old male was later declared deceased by the Lake County Coroner Officers. The identity of the burglar was released by The Lake County Coroners Office as Jarrell Mitchell, 36, of Gary. The incident will go through a full investigation by the Lake County Metro Homicide Unit.

Grand jury declines to indict homeowner in deadly Shelby County shooting

SIDNEY — No charges will be filed against a homeowner in a deadly shooting in Shelby County this week.

A grand jury voted 8-1 against indicting the homeowner on charges, according to Shelby County Prosecutor Tim Sell.

Shelby County Sheriff James Frye previously told News Center 7 he expected the panel to dismiss the case because of Ohio’s new “Stand Your Ground” law that took effect in April 2021.

House Bill 38 repealed the law, which removed a person’s legal duty to attempt to retreat or walk away before firing their gun in public. The law has been updated to keep the “castle doctrine,” which says a person does not have to retreat in their home or vehicle before firing their gun.

News Center 7, by way of an information request, obtained doorbell video footage of James Rayl, 22, seconds before he is hit by gunfire when he appears to force his way into the home in the 2900 block of North Kuther Road on July 31.

In the video, Rayl pounds on the door after he is asked to leave.

In the 911 audio recording of the incident, also obtained by News Center 7 by way of an information request, a woman, who described Rayl as her ex-boyfriend, said, “He’s trying the door dad . . . dad . . dad. Is he trying to kill me?”

County sheriff’s investigators said it is at that moment, Rayl broke the front door and began to go inside. He’s hit immediately by three gunshots.

In the same 911 call, the woman is heard to say, ” Dad there’s nothing you could have done. You saved my life.”

A neighbor checked on the wounded Rayl — when the woman inside refused a dispatcher’s request to do so — and said he didn’t see Rayl enter the home.

“If he entered the house, why did he shoot through the door?” the neighbor, Jeff Hereford, asked McDermott.

Hereford said he doesn’t agree with his neighbors or the incident report on the shooting, claiming he saw everything as well as Rayl on the ground.

Another neighbor, Denesa Goings, told McDermott she believed the woman’s father had every right to fire a weapon.

‘He just looked like he was possessed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A homeowner who shot a man he says broke into his home spoke exclusively with Action News Jax Thursday.

“He just looked like he was possessed, and he was acting like he was possessed,” William Kerr recalled.

Kerr says the man broke into his house Wednesday morning, threatened him, and stole $400 dollars.

The homeowner was not arrested.

Kerr’s wife was leaving for an appointment when Kerr says he went into his office.

“I got the door open about a foot, and I see this guy standing there. He’s got my rifle… BB rifle – he’s standing there with the rifle like this, the butt facing me, and he’s fixing to clock me … I quick-slammed the door, and I heard him messing with the other door in the room. So, I’m thinking, ‘oh, man, Tina’s out there in the car fixing to go.’ So, I ran through the kitchen, grabbed me a cleaver, and went out the door. By the time I went out the door, he’s already at the mailbox.”

Worried for his neighbors, Kerr says he followed the man down the street.

“I got a next-door neighbor with a little kid; the lady across the street is kind of elderly,” Kerr said.

At that point, the police were there. Kerr recalled pointing them in the man’s direction. Kerr then figured he’d continue down the road to make sure the man wouldn’t hurt anyone, he said.

“There’s a privacy fence in that lot. Well, I drive down a little bit, and I see him, and he’s broken off a piece of this privacy fence …’ Come on out … the police officers are driving up the street, they’ll be here in just a second,’” Kerr recalled saying. “When he gets up – he has this big stick – it’s probably three or four inches around and about three feet long. And he wields the stick, well I jump back … I had my gun, I tried to shoot him in his hands to get the stick out of his hands. About that time a police officer drives down the street, and I wave him down, I’m like, ‘he’s right here!’ And he tried to run, still.”

Another neighbor who saw the man before he entered Kerr’s house also called 911. That neighbor gave Action News Jax a video of the man walking up his dock, naked and muddy. He told Action News Jax he’d given the man a pair of shorts, water, and food before calling 911. But he said the man took off, heading toward Kerr’s house.

“He was jacked up on something. He was dirty as heck,” Kerr said. “The time he tried to ram me in there he was going, ‘wooo! Wooo!’ And even when he was swinging the stick, he was like ‘wooo!’ And his eyes were like golf balls.”

Police questioned Kerr on Wednesday and later released him that evening. Kerr says he claimed self-defense.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson talked about whether the homeowner might face charges.

“If you are in imminent fear of death or great bodily harm, you can probably defend yourself and claim self-defense,” Carson said.

Carson says a self-defense argument can be difficult to prove.

“My advice would be, don’t follow people out of your house. Call law enforcement, and allow them to manage it. Because if you get involved there’s a possibility that you could ultimately be charged with manslaughter or even murder,” Carson added.

Kerr says he wishes the man would’ve just asked for help, saying he would’ve gladly given him the $400 dollars that he stole. Kerr says he hopes the man gets the help he needs.

“I hope the best for him. I don’t hope anything bad,” Kerr said. “It was a traumatic situation on both our part.”

On Wednesday, investigators said the man Kerr shot was in surgery. Action News Jax is still working to learn the man’s condition.

Teen shot, killed in act of self-defense

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a 16-year-old was shot and killed in self-defense in an “apparent robbery” attempt on the far east side.

Just before 4:30 a.m., IMPD got a report of a person shot on Tapp Drive near Cumberland.

The homeowner’s daughter and her boyfriend claim they were sitting in their car when at least two suspects yanked open the car door and tried to rob them at gunpoint.

Those victims didn’t want to go on camera, but say the whole scary situation lasted just a few seconds.

Police found a male who was declared dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as 16-year-old Armohnie Preswood. Police say the teen was found armed with a gun.

According to IMPD, two people in the car were approached by multiple individuals, including Preswood.

At one point, shots were fired, and Preswood was hit by gunfire.

Police believe the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery. The shooter is cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been made.

Neighbor Joyce Kefauver says she was woken up by a sound around the time of the shooting.

“It’s very scary! All these shootings and now it’s in my neighborhood,” said Kefauver.

Indy homeowner speaks out after killing intruder: ‘there’s consequences’
“The victims of an apparent robbery defended themselves and now we have one deceased male,” said IMPD Sgt. Frank Wooten.

“It’s just crazy out here so you have to protect yourself,” said neighbor Marlon Smith.

The victim’s car was also damaged by at least a couple of bullets, which they claim were fired by a second suspect who ran away down the street.

Neighbors certainly don’t fault the victims for defending themselves.

“It’s sad to say but you have to do what you have to do because these last few months have been hectic out here,” said Smith.

The killing marks the second time in less than a week that someone used deadly force to kill a suspected criminal in Indianapolis.

Last week a homeowner near 34th and MLK shot and killed a man during a home invasion.

“A person on their own property has an absolute right, it’s called the Castle Doctrine, to protect themselves,” said attorney Jack Crawford.

Attorney Crawford explains that Indiana’s Stand Your Ground law gives people the right to defend their property and their lives against a forcible felony.

“If someone is attacking you or about to commit a forcible felony, you have the right to defend yourself even using deadly force,” said Crawford. “Let’s face it. A lot of people are packing now as the saying goes and if they are attacked or somebody close to them is attacked, they have a right to stand their ground.”

Both victims were questioned by police and then released.

Police have not arrested any additional suspects who may have fled the scene.

Man killed in suspected home invasion

INDIANAPOLIS — A man was killed early Friday in what police say appears to be a home invasion on the near northwest side of Indianapolis.

Police say a report of a person shot in the 900 block of W. 34th Street came in just after 4 a.m. This is across the street from Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.

Officials said the homeowner shot and killed another man inside the home. The man was pronounced deceased shortly after officers arrived on scene.

According to IMPD, preliminary evidence indicates this was a home invasion or burglary.

IMPD says the homeowner is cooperating with investigators.

It’s unknown if the homeowner and the man who was killed knew each other.

Auburn gas station clerk shaken up after fatally shooting alleged armed robbery suspect

AUBURN, Wash. — An attempted armed robbery suspect was shot dead late Monday night by a store clerk in Auburn, and people in the neighborhood say they have seen a surge in crime in the downtown area where the fatal shooting happened.

The clerk who pulled the trigger told KOMO News Tuesday that he is still processing the shooting, that it happened quickly and he’s thinking of the 19-year-old man who was killed along with his family.

Police were in the early stages of their investigation while workers at the convenience store were also trying to pick up the pieces.

Police were called shortly before 12:30 a.m. to the Shell station located at 201 Auburn Way S. for a report of a shooting and robbery attempt, a department spokesperson said.

When police arrived they found the body of man who had been shot at least one, according to police. The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect brandished a weapon before he was shot.

Crews on Tuesday replaced the convenience store’s front door and the register plexiglass that was struck by bullets overnight.

Investigators worked Tuesday to piece together what happened during the incident.

“We don’t know if this person who was shot and killed acted alone or had help,” police spokesperson Kolby Crossley said.

The store and police declined to provide the surveillance video from the incident, and officers say it’s too soon to know if the clerk is facing charges.

“We’ll gather all this information and then we’ll ship it off to the prosecutor’s office,” Crossley said. “And then that’s a decision they will look into themselves.”

Police investigators swarmed the site after the fatal shooting at the gas station

A construction worker for a project next door said the store is in a dangerous area because of criminal activity next to the nearby grocery store.

“There’s drug use rampant over by Safeway,” Kevin Olsen said. “They steal converters (and) there’s fights out there daily. It’s terrible.”

He’s not surprised the clerk took matters into his own hands and says he and his co-workers feel like they’re left to fend for themselves.

“I think it’s a good thing he defended himself. I mean, the cops can’t do anything,” Olsen said. People “smoke their crack right by (police) and ride their bicycles right by. Eventually the citizens have to do something about it.”

Officers say they’re working to prevent these crimes with their designated patrol areas, including a community response team focused on downtown.

“People are willing to do crazy thigs and it doesn’t really matter where it is or why they’re doing it,” Crossley said. “That’s why we’re here.”

This shooting was part of a violent weekend for the city.

Police responded to a drive-by shooting a couple days ago and another homicide last night, raising Auburn’s homicide toll to nine for the year, with eight involving firearms.

Metro Man Shoots Home Intruder, Says He Feared For His Safety

A metro man confronts and shoots an intruder after police say he forced his way into the southwest Oklahoma City home.
According to the resident, who did not want to be identified, he hesitated to pull the trigger.

He said after Derial Goode Jr. managed to force his locked front door open, he was stirred awake.

The resident thought the noise was caused by his niece walking through the house but was wrong.

“He was sitting at my kitchen table, just sitting there, not saying a word,” said the resident.

The homeowner says Goode barely spoke.

“He started walking around mumbling and went into my living room, knocked some pictures down, so I went into my bedroom and grabbed my gun,” said the man.

He said he called out to his niece as the intruder stumbled around.

“Whenever she came out and said I have no idea who this is, that was a gamechanger right there,” said the man.

Only then did the homeowner point his gun as the intruder ran into a religious shrine.

It was erected in honor of the homeowner’s sister who was murdered four years ago.

“He might have children, brothers and sisters. I’ve felt that. I know what it’s like to lose a family member to gun violence, so I did not want that for his family member or for him,” said the man.

But instead of leaving the man says Goode approached him.

“At that moment I feared for my life and niece’s life, and that’s when I shot him,” said the man,

He said for the first time Goode spoke clearly.

“When I shot him and he fell down he said that hurt,” said the man.

The man called 911.

“We do know that the suspect did not live there, was not supposed to be there,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk, Oklahoma City Police Department.

“I thank God he’s alive, but it also makes me worry, what if he wants to come back and shoot me or something?” said the man.

Goode was arrested on complaints of breaking and entering and public intoxication.

Beaumont police say the store clerk shot 62-year-old William Coleman after he attacked her at Everest Food Mart in the 2800 block of Eastex Freeway.

Police responded to the store around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say the store clerk called 911 and reported a robbery in progress.

When police arrived, they found the wounded suspect.

Paramedics transported him to the hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives have obtained an aggravated Robbery warrant for Coleman.

Once he is released from the hospital, officers will transport him to the Jefferson County Jail.

The store clerk suffered several minor injuries during the attack.

Caught on video: Norco store owner blasts armed robber with shotgun; 3 arrested

A would-be robber was critically injured after being shot by a store owner in Norco early Sunday in a dramatic incident that was captured on surveillance video.

An employee who reached out to KTLA said the video shows a man armed with an assault-style rifle walk into the Norco Market at 816 Sixth Street around 2:45 a.m., point the weapon at the owner, and order him to put his “hands in the air.”

Within just a few seconds, the owner steps behind a glass display and fires a shotgun at the suspect, who immediately runs out of the store screaming and shouting, “He shot my arm off!”

Officials later indicated that three men entered the store armed with long guns and wearing facial coverings and hoods.

A second camera in the parking lot shows the suspect jump into a dark-colored BMW SUV with at least three accomplices and then drive away.

Four suspects were later found at a hospital. One of the men “was suffering from a gunshot wound consistent with a shotgun blast,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The 23-year-old remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition and will be booked into jail after being released, officials said.

The suspect vehicle, which had been reported stolen, was also found at the hospital. Inside the dark-colored BMW SUV authorities found numerous stolen firearms.

Three suspects were taken into custody in the hospital parking lot and were booked for robbery and conspiracy. They are being held on $500,000 bail.

The men were identified as Justin Johnson, 22, of, Inglewood, Jamar Williams, 27, of Los Angeles and Davon Broadus, 24, of Las Vegas.

“In this case, a lawfully armed member of our community prevented a violent crime and ensured their own safety, while being confronted with multiple armed suspects,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

The employee told KTLA the store owner called 911 and was later transported to a hospital with a possible heart condition, although he is expected to be OK.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Ax-wielding man fatally shot by Rochester Police during traffic stop

(ABC 6 News) – A man armed with an ax was fatally shot by police early Saturday morning after he charged toward an officer with an ax during a traffic stop.

At 10:59 p.m. Friday night, officer responded to a report of a robbery at Domino’s Pizza on Broadway Avenue South. Police say a white man entered the business with an ax, took cash and fled in a van. According to the general manager, two cash registers were broken and he has reason to believe the man had not taken a lot of money. No employees were hurt.

Police located the van at 12:44 a.m. Saturday and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 63 just south of the Highway 52 overpass. Preliminary reports indicate the suspect got out of the vehicle with an ax and charged toward the officer. The officer shot the suspect.

RPD said efforts to save the suspect were unsuccessful. He later died from his injuries.

A witness to the shooting, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, “We were driving north on 63 and were pulling onto Highway 52 and saw someone pulled over on the side. We saw the man get out of his car with something in his hands and run at the officer. We heard gunshots and we were so taken back by it. It’s just tragic to see something like that.”

The officer involved in the shooting has been with Rochester Police Department just over a year and was an officer at another agency previously.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the officer-involved shooting. According to the BCA, the names of the officer as well as the victim will be released on Monday.

Washington homeowner shoots and kills man breaking into home
The Washington state victim and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument before she left for their neighbor’s house, where he was later shot and killed

A homeowner in Washington fatally shot a man who tried to break into his home Friday, authorities said.

Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department received a call from someone saying a man was trying to break into his home and that he had shot him. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man dead on a back porch, authorities said. The homeowner was taken into police custody.

Investigators later learned the deceased man and his girlfriend lived next door. The couple had an argument and the woman went to the neighbor’s home, authorities said.

The woman had an active no-contact order against her boyfriend, police said. The man who was shot and killed attempted to break into the neighbor’s home before he was shot, officials said. He also made threats against the people inside, including his girlfriend.

The shooter, a 59-year-old man, was interviewed and released. Prosecutors will review the case to determine if any charges will be filed.

Man fatally shot while trying to break into York County home

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The York Poquoson Sheriff’s Office says a homeowner fatally shot a man who tried to kick down the door to a home in York County on Monday.

The call for the shooting came in just after 5 p.m. in the 300 block of Corvette Drive. The neighborhood is near Queens Lake Middle School.

“This is very abnormal for this neighborhood,” said York Poquoson Sheriff’s Major Ron Montgomery. “It’s a quiet neighborhood.”

In an update Tuesday, the sheriff’s office says the man, identified as 20-year-old Antonio Beltran Flores Perez, had jumped a gate and tried to forcibly enter the home.

“The family had spotted the individual coming out of the woods behind the home and the family had gone inside the home and this person came onto the deck and began kicking the door,” said Major Ron Montgomery.

The homeowner said he and his family were outside at the time and went inside and locked the door. Perez then tried to kick the door, the sheriff’s office says.

Major Montgomery says Perez, who tried to break into the home, didn’t have a weapon, but tried multiple times to get inside. They say Perez’s body was found on the back deck. Major Montgomery says the homeowner’s concern was trying to protect his family.

“That was his big concern,” said Major Montgomery. “The door had been locked and when he started kicking the door to make entry into the house, that’s when the homeowner shot the individual.”

Major Montgomery says even though York County has a fairly low crime rate, that doesn’t mean people living there are immune to these types of crimes.

“If you have someone who’s trespassing on your property that you’re concerned about, I would encourage you to dial 911 immediately,” said Major Montgomery. “Nationally, we are seeing a lot more handgun violence and a lot more of these situations where burglaries or larcenies are occurring, so I think nationally that is a trend and what we’ve learned here in York County, although we have a very low crime rate, that doesn’t mean we are going to be immune from these types of crimes.”

Right now, investigators say no one has been charged in this case.

Not too much info available. But running through the vid several times, you can see that the driver of the car the crims were trying to jack isn’t doing much, if any shooting. It’s coming from off camera, as in from someone in the neighborhood, and the crims have no clue where it’s coming from as they beat feet it out of Dodge, less their ride, which was probably stolen anyway.

Home invasion turns deadly in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police have opened an investigation, after a Sunday morning incident led to a death in northeast Albuquerque. Homicide detectives are at the scene, but it is not clear if they consider the incident a homicide.

An APD spokesman says the incident occurred near Morningside Dr. NE and Mescalero Rd. NE. A suspect allegedly broke into one home in the neighborhood. After being detected by a homeowner, the suspect tried to steal a set of keys, but was unable to flee the scene.

The suspect then tried to break into a second residence. That led to an altercation, during which at least one gunshot was fired, killing the suspect.

The case remains under investigation.

Woman Fires Gun at Dallas Love Field Airport, Police Shoot Back

Authorities are reporting that a woman at Dallas Love Field Airport emerged from a restroom brandishing a gun and firing at the ceiling. A police officer responded, shooting the woman in the lower extremities.

Paramedics took the woman to nearby Parkland Hospital. No injuries have been reported other than to the shooter.

NBC DFW reports that “Dallas Chief of Police Eddie Garcia said the woman, identified only as a 37-year-old, was dropped off at the airport just before 11 a.m. and that once inside she went into a restroom and changed clothes.”

“Garcia said the woman exited the restroom wearing a hoody, pulled out a gun and started firing several shots,” the report continues. “Most of the shots, Garcia said, appeared to be directed toward the ceiling.”

Authorities evacuated passengers from the airport.

“Cell phone video shared with NBC 5 showed travelers on the ground, behind chairs at the gates and sheltering in place while the shooting unfolded,” reports NBC DFW. “The investigation is ongoing and Garcia said he expects elements to change as more is learned about what happened. Agents with the Dallas FBI’s field office were seen at the airport along with Dallas Police.”

This is a developing situation, and we’ll update this story if additional newsworthy information becomes available.

Homeowner kills intruder in Pickaway County

PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A man is dead after deputies say a homeowner shot and killed him during a home invasion.

According to initial reports from law enforcement, a man gained entry into a house in the 1000 block of Thrailkill Road just before midnight on Sunday.

The 9-1-1 caller told dispatchers that the reported intruder had entered through a side door in the residence and was “trying to burglarize” the house. The Guardian has been unable to confirm the motive or reasoning for the man’s presence at the property. When deputies arrived they found the man deceased on the lower-level of the home, while the homeowners were upstairs.

The alleged intruder was described as an African-American male who suffered “multiple gunshot wounds,” according to county coroner Dr. John Ellis.

Ellis said the man was pronounced dead shortly after midnight by local EMS and that the intruder had no identifiable information on him. Ellis said the body would be taken to Montgomery County for an autopsy.

Law enforcement said that there was damage to the side door of the home, but stopped shy of confirming a motive.

Concealed carry holder shot man who opened fire on his car at McDonald’s, prosecutors say

A 19-year-old man who has three felony juvenile cases pending was shot three times by a concealed carry holder after he opened fire on the man’s car in a McDonald’s parking lot Tuesday, prosecutors said. The victim, 49, and his 11-year-old daughter, who was in the back seat, were both unharmed.

Giovanni Castanon has carjacking, burglary, and aggravated battery cases pending in juvenile court, according to prosecutors. He is the 27th person accused of killing or shooting—or attempting to kill or shoot—someone in Chicago while on bail for a felony this year. The alleged crimes involved at least 58 victims, 12 of whom died.

Prosecutors said the concealed carry holder and his daughter were sitting in their car at McDonald’s on 106th Street near the Indiana state line when a masked man approached them and began yelling around 5:12 p.m.

The masked offender, identified by prosecutors as Castanon, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the victim’s car, prompting the concealed carry holder to return fire.

Castanon fired more shots toward the car as he ran away, prosecutors said. Cops found him in a nearby residential garage with gunshot wounds to his hand, arm, and foot.

The entire incident was recorded by the restaurant’s security cameras.

Police found bullet holes on the victim’s passenger-side door, hood, and tire. However, neither the concealed carry holder nor the 11-year-old girl seated on the passenger side of the back seat were hurt.

Prosecutors said investigators never found the gun Castanon used to shoot at the victims. Castanon is charged with aggravated assault by discharging a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Suzin Farer, an assistant public defender, indicated that he works in demolition and is the father of a three-year-old child.

Bail was set at $300,000 with electronic monitoring by Judge Charles Beach, which means Castanon must post a $30,000 deposit to be released on house arrest. Beach also ordered him to stay away from the concealed carry holder and the man’s daughter.

“I’m quite sure you don’t wanna have any contact with that individual anymore,” Beach surmised.

Atlanta woman shoots man in self-defense during assault

ATLANTA – Police officers in Atlanta are trying to determine whether a woman will face charges for shooting a man overnight.

Officials say the shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. at an apartment complex near the 200 block of Greenhaven Drive SE.

Investigators tell FOX 5 right now they believe the woman shot the man in self-defense while he was assaulting her.
