Inflation Hits Annualized Rate of 16.8%: Gas is up 52%.

Yesterday, Joe Biden went to Iowa and pandered to corn growers. He is lifting an EPA restriction on the amount of ethanol a gallon of gas can contain. People who follow the fuel industry and understand the engineering around producing fuel know that ethanol is a terrible additive to fuel. It decreases gas mileage. It’s not as efficient as gas.

Remember, Biden is doing this when farmers are going to pay significantly more for fertilizer because of his administration’s missteps in Ukraine leading to Putin’s invasion.

Biden’s actions yesterday just increased corn prices ($ZC_F).

New Study Shows States With Least Restrictive Lockdowns Fared the Best

ccording to a new study titled “Final Report Card on State Responses to COVID-19,” states that implemented the least restrictive COVID-19 lockdowns performed far better than those that took the more draconian track.

The study, conducted by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, found that “states which maximized the individual freedoms of business owners, consumers, workers and parents – and allowed their citizens to make their own risk assessments without government mandates – had the best performance.”

Moreover, the study notes:

“It turns out that in most cases, citizens living in states with minimal government interventions – including Nebraska, Iowa, Florida, and others – were able to make wise health-conscious assessments without an abundance of government rules and mandates. These states came through the pandemic with the least amount of collective damage to their economies, the education of their children, and with health outcomes that were in most cases no worse than states that used more heavy-handed tactics to slow the spread.”

On the other hand, as Stephen Moore, a co-author of the study said, “Shutting down their economies and schools was by far the biggest mistake governors and state officials made during Covid, particularly in blue states.”

The data absolutely support Moore’s conclusion.

Consider.

In the economic realm, the average unemployment increase for all 50 states and the District of Columbia during the pandemic was 2.8 percent. However, the states that kept their economies open fared far better than their counterparts. For example, Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota experienced unemployment increases of 0.9 percent, 0.2 percent, and 0.7 percent, respectively. On the other side of the spectrum, the states that enacted long lockdowns suffered catastrophic unemployment increases, namely Hawaii (8.2 percent), New Jersey (5.5 percent), and New York (5.4 percent).

On the topic of education, the states that kept their public schools open for in-person learning also performed well above those that decided to close public schools for months. As the study notes:

“School closures may ultimately prove to be the largest policy error of the pandemic era in both economic and mortality terms. One study found that school closures at the end of the previous 2019-2020 school year are associated with 13.8 million years of life lost. An NIH analysis found that life expectancy for high school graduates is 4 to 6 years longer than high school dropouts. The OECD estimates that learning losses from pandemic era school closures could cause a 3% decline in lifetime earnings, and that a loss of just one third of a year of learning has a long-term economic impact of $14 trillion.”

Of course, this is even more maddening considering that COVID-19 posed little threat to children.

The third metric assessed by the study, mortality, shows that states that remained open did not experience higher death rates than compared to those that issued longstanding lockdowns.

Per the study, “locking down businesses, stores, churches, schools, and restaurants had almost no impact on health outcomes across states. States with strict lockdowns had virtually no better performance in Covid death rates than states that remained mostly open for business.”

By now, this should not come as that big of a surprise. A few months ago, Johns Hopkins released a similar study that found, “lockdowns have had little to no effect on COVID-19 mortality. More specifically, stringency index studies find that lockdowns in Europe and the United States only reduced COVID-19 mortality by 0.2% on average.”

It would be nice if the mainstream media reported these truths to the American public. However, that is far from likely given the fact that the vast majority of the media celebrated lockdown policies while berating governors and other elected officials who enacted less restrictive mitigation measures.

GOA SLAMS NYC MAYOR’S LOUSY ‘TOUGH-ON-CRIME’ STRATEGY AMID THE CITY’S SKYROCKETING CRIME AND SUBWAY SHOOTING

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 12, 2022

Washington, D.C. – Gun Owners of America (GOA) slams New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ failed “tough-on-crime” policies amid today’s NYC subway shooting and the skyrocketing crime that increased 14.5 percent from 2021.

This past November, the Supreme Court heard the case NYSRPA v. Bruen which questioned whether the state of New York’s denial of petitioners’ applications for concealed-carry licenses for self-defense violated the Second Amendment. The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on this case sometime before the end of June.

New York State Police told the Supreme Court that citizens do not need to carry guns on the subway since there are transit police. Mayor Adams also recently increased police presence on the subway to no avail.

Aidan Johnston, GOA’s Director of Federal Affairs, commented:

“Increased police presence cannot stop every tragedy. Once again, NYC’s gun control demonstrated that it has no impact.

“You are your own first responder. We need to empower individuals to defend themselves and exercise their right to bear arms—especially in public places.

“Only by taking up arms and shooting back can Americans restore public safety and take control out of the hands of violent criminals.”

GOA spokesmen are available for interviews. Gun Owners of America, and its sister organization Gun Owners Foundation, are nonprofits dedicated to protecting the right to keep and bear arms without compromise. For more information, visit GOA’s Press Center.

Whistleblower: Joe Biden’s ‘crackdown on ghost guns’ based on ATF hoax
Biden infringing on our 2A rights based upon inaccurate ATF data.

Joe Biden repeated some of his most discredited lies about the Second Amendment Monday during a press conference held in the Rose Garden – deer in Kevlar vests, fictitious prohibitions on the right to keep and bear arms, including cannons – but it is the actions he’s taking that are the most worrisome, because they’re all based upon a hoax by the ATF.

Without any congressional action and based solely on the flimsy authority of an executive order, Joe Biden is disarming Americans. He is taking away our right to build guns in our homes, even though Americans have been making guns in their homes since before there was a United States of America. Biden based his decision on “ghost gun” data he was given by the ATF – data even the ATF itself cannot verify, which a whistleblower claims the U.S. Justice Department admitted is inaccurate.

“Last year alone, law enforcement reported approximately 20,000 suspected ghost guns to be – to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. That’s a tenfold increase in these ghost guns from 2016. Tenfold in five years,” Biden said Monday. “These guns are weapons of choice for many criminals. We’re going to do everything we can to deprive them of that choice and, when we find them, put them in jail for a long, long time. Law enforcement is sounding the alarms. Our communities are paying the price. And we’re acting.”

The entire “ghost gun” drama was started by Carlos A. Canino, the former Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the ATF’s Los Angeles Field Division. In 2020, anti-gun activists asked Canino about the prevalence of homemade firearms in California. An earlier study said 30% of the guns recovered by ATF in California were unserialized “ghost guns,” but Canino said the real numbers were actually much higher. “Forty-one percent, so almost half our cases we’re coming across are these ‘ghost guns,’” Canino said. That was all it took.

A story by the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project published last week showed that the ATF cannot verify Canino’s comments.

“I contacted the Los Angeles Field Division earlier today after your initial email, and their Public Information Officer was unable to verify any figures provided in 2019 by former-SAC Canino without knowing the time-period(s) he used for his comments,” an ATF spokesman said in the email.

After the story was published, a staff member for a U.S. Congressman came forward. This whistleblower, who asked that their name be withheld from publication, revealed even more problems about the ATF’s “ghost gun” statistics.

The staff member asked the U.S. Justice Department for “ghost gun” data, since both the ATF and the Bureau of Justice Statistics fall under the DOJ’s purview.

“Because it is not currently a federal crime to own either a homemade firearm or a braced pistol, DOJ claims they do not have accurate/comprehensive databases to track their use in crimes. They compile information from state and local police units – but that information is only as good as what is reported,” the whistleblower said in an email.

Brooklyn Subway Attack Suspect Previously Known to FBI and Cleared: Source

A federal law enforcement source told Newsweek that a suspect in Tuesday morning’s Brooklyn subway attack was previously known to the FBI and was entered into the Guardian Lead system in New Mexico though he was cleared after multiple interviews in 2019.

The suspect’s identity has yet to be revealed, but a New York Police Department official confirmed to Newsweek that a person was in custody hours after a vehicle of interest had been discovered.

The subway attack that injured multiple people in the New York City borough of Brooklyn Tuesday morning was initially considered an act of terrorism, the NYPD official told Newsweek. But the federal law enforcement source speaking to Newsweek said the attack could not be classified as terrorism until a motivation is established.

ATF’s New ‘Ghost Gun’ Rules Are as Clear as Mud
The ATF used a lot of words that invite lawsuits and leave industry insiders baffled.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) finalized “ghost gun” rule surprised Cody Wilson, the head of Ghost Gunner. His company manufactures CNC mills that turn unfinished firearm receivers into products that can be included in completed firearms that have no serial numbers and are, hence, called “ghosts.” He’d anticipated a more-or-less explicit ban on so-called “80 percent receivers” which would leave his Ghost Gunner 3 that can turn a raw block of metal into an AR-15 receiver as the simplest remaining solution. Instead, by his reading, the new rules consumed a lot of pages to go after the most basic end of the DIY market.

Well, maybe. Other industry experts aren’t sure what the rules mean. That uncertainty poses huge challenges for manufacturers, vendors, and anybody trying to establish what is and isn’t legal.

Nebraska concealed carry handgun bill comes short of votes

LINCOLN — In a surprise, state lawmakers failed to muster enough votes Monday to advance a concealed carry handgun bill, called “constitutional carry” by some.

The vote to invoke cloture was 31-9, two short of what’s needed to stop a filibuster and advance a bill. It was also four fewer senators than the number who supported advancement of the bill from first-round debate.

“To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement,” said State Sen. Tom Brewer of Gordon, who has made passing the bill a priority during his six years in office.

25 other states

At least 25 other states have passed such laws. In Nebraska, it would have allowed people to carry a concealed weapon without obtaining a $100 state permit, undergoing a criminal background check and passing a gun safety class.

Brewer had worked for several weeks to negotiate a compromise to Legislative Bill 773 with the Omaha police union and police department, which had expressed concern about the bill watering down existing gun control ordinances in the state’s largest city and complicating their job of reducing gun violence.

The compromise amendment would have left in place an Omaha ordinance that requires registration of handguns. It also would have allowed for the continued prosecution of the crime of “carrying a concealed handgun” if a concealed gun was used in a long list of “covered offenses,” from robbery and kidnapping, to cockfighting and disorderly conduct.

NRA urged ‘no’ vote

But the powerful National Rifle Association urged a “no” vote against the amendment, calling it “a discriminatory attempt to place Omaha’s extreme firearm registration requirement into state law.”

Senators failed to pass the compromise amendment on a 13-29 vote — 12 fewer “yes” votes than needed.

The defeat pushed the Omaha Police Officers Association from neutral on the bill to oppose and sparked a debate over whether voting for LB 773 was a vote against law enforcement.

What Biden Didn’t Tell you (and Your Friends Don’t Know) about Guns and Serial Numbers

Things are not always as they seem. President Biden said guns are causing crime. The President needs an excuse for the increase in crime while he has been in office. I have to wonder why guns didn’t cause crime before Joe Biden took office but are causing crime now, particularly in Democrat controlled cities. This recent surge in violence isn’t a surprise to anyone but confirmed Democrats. The President needs to blame guns to distract us from his failed political decisions. Here is some perspective that the President hid from us.. or maybe he just forgot.

The obvious fact is that we let criminals out of jail during Covid. The inmates didn’t stop being criminals simply because we faced the Chinese flu and released them on the public. That political decision meant we had more dangerous criminals on the street who might commit crimes. We also refused to put criminals back in jail when they committed new crimes. That took away the deterrent effect of our justice system. Politicians made this problem, not a new kind of firearm.

Politicians created more violent crime because they put more criminals on the streets and because each criminal was committing more violent crimes than before. Biden also threw open our borders so drug gangs could move drugs almost at will. Even an elderly politician can understand why this causes more crime.

Of course, that isn’t what President Biden said. He said it is all about guns with strange serial numbers. He didn’t mention that serial numbers were not even required on firearms until 1968. Many of our classic semi-automatic handguns had been in production for almost 6 decades by then, so there are tens of millions of unsterilized firearms in legal circulation. True, you can also get a government employee from the ATF to say anything the President wants him to say, but believing that a missing serial number causes crime plays us for a fool. The law enforcement sources I trust have not seen a surge of homemade and un-serialized firearms causing crime. What Democrats call a “ghost gun” isn’t a firearm at all, but an incomplete part of a gun.

The President refused to say that the vast majority of our violent crime isn’t committed with a firearm. If we magically stopped all “gun crime” today then we’d still have the remaining 85 percent of violent crime to deal with tomorrow. Fewer than 1 in a hundred criminals used a long gun of any kind, a rifle or shotgun. Of course, Biden didn’t mention that. He probably forgot.

Most murders are committed by drug gangs fighting other drug gangs. Consider what that means since these gangs move MILLIONS of illegal immigrants across our border and move BILLIONS of dollars of drugs around the US each year. Those drug trafficking organizations have their own privately made submarines to move drugs. That says they can easily move a few ounces of steel, plastic, and lead anywhere they want them. Gun prohibition doesn’t work any better than drug prohibition.

We will not disarm violent drug gangs by regulating legal gun owners. It is dangerous to try and will cost more lives than it saves.

President Biden refused to mention that civilians use guns in armed defense. We know that ordinary civilians in the US use firearms defensively about 1.7 million times a year, or several thousand times every day. It is important to have a sense of perspective and proportion to understand what that means.

We defend ourselves with a firearm thousands of times a day, but there are about 10 thousand criminal murders with a firearm in the entire year. Honest citizens use a gun for justified self-defense about 170 times for each criminal murder. Guns in civilian hands are far more likely to save a life than to take one.

Think of it this way. If Biden’s the new gun regulations disarm even a few honest gun owners, yet somehow disarmd many criminals, then the new regulation will still cost innocent lives by disarming more innocent victims of crime. Unfortunately the news is likely to be worse than that. Criminals don’t care about gun laws and background checks; you have to live in a fantasy world to believe they do. Maybe the president believes it, but we shouldn’t.

Criminals ignore our laws, so legal gun owners are the only ones affected by our 23 thousand firearms regulations. If all those existing gun laws didn’t stop violent crime, then what makes President Biden think criminals will obey his new gun laws?

More confirmation that SloJoe™ is just a puppet and Obammy is pulling the strings

Joe Biden Nominates Obama’s Harvard Law School Classmate to Head ATF

The White House released a fact sheet Monday noting that President Joe Biden is nominating former President Barack Obama’s Harvard Law School classmate Steve Dettelbach to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

The White House described Dettelbach as “a highly respected former U.S. Attorney and career prosecutor who spent over two decades as a prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice.”

Additionally, the Hill pointed out that Dettelbach was Obama’s Harvard Law School classmate.

The Daily Mail observed that Dettelbach espoused support for various gun controls during an “unsuccessful” bid to become attorney general of Ohio in 2018.

The Mail explained that Dettelbach “has called for an assault weapons ban and universal background checks.”

During Dettelbach’s unsuccessful bid for attorney general of Ohio, WOSU reported that he also opposed allowing teachers and staff to be armed for classroom defense, even in situations when those teachers and/or staff were “former military or law enforcement.”

Biden’s previous nominee for the ATF, David Chipman, was also pro-gun control. Breitbart News noted that he was a Gabby Giffords’ gun control associate who supported an AR-15 ban.

It’s not about deer hunting and they all know it, all too well.

It’s part what’s in the article, and part this:
Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Our principle is that the Party [which is the Chinese goobermint] commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party. —Mao Tse Tung 1938
They want the ability to ‘command’ restricted as much as possible.

They want to protect the criminals from you

We must ban the guns says the leader of the party that unleashed violent, murderous mobs on American citizens to win an election and let convinced criminals out of prison because of a cough.

The fastest growing demographics of gun owners are women and minorities in urban areas who have come under siege from criminals due to COVID and Social Justice bail reform policies that let criminals go free.

Gun control will not reduce crime.

It will hinder these new demographics of fire time gun owners from buying effective tools of self defense.

Leftist, as part of their dimmer switch of violence, understand how crime and criminals can be used as effective tools of political coercion and enforcement.

Armed citizens cannot be allowed to defend themselves from criminals or the political use of criminals is voided, so the obvious solution is to disarm the law abiding citizens, not re-arrest the criminals.

Again, this is about inflicting pain on the people for trying to lives lives of self reliance.

NSSF STATEMENT ON WHITE HOUSE ATF NOMINATION, GUN CONTROL ORDERS

NEWTOWN, Conn. — NSSF®, the firearm industry trade association, listened with keen interest to President Joe Biden’s nomination of Steve Dettelbach for Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). NSSF has long-advocated that the ATF needs a U.S. Senate-confirmed director, and that person must be an individual who will faithfully execute the duties of regulating the firearm industry in accordance with established laws and regulations. Any nominee for this position of public trust, that has direct oversight of how law-abiding Americans are able to exercise their Second Amendment rights, must be a person wedded to the rule of law, and one that will not politicize the ATF to advance a partisan gun control agenda that exceeds what is established in law by the U.S. Congress.

NSSF is committed to a thorough examination of Dettelbach’s record and qualifications and will listen carefully to his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. NSSF has significant concerns regarding Dettelbach’s previous public statements supporting bans on Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs), or AR-15 semiautomatic rifles, universal background checks, which are unworkable without a national firearm registry that is already forbidden by federal law, and extreme-risk protection orders, or so-called “red flag” laws, without protections for Due Process considerations. Dettelbach was also previously endorsed by the gun control group, Everytown for Gun Safety, for his support for policies restricting Second Amendment rights.

NSSF is also closely monitoring the submission of the Final Rule by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to redefine frames and receivers, which would significantly alter the sale and possession of not only personally-made firearms (PFMs) but numerous other types and models as well. NSSF will review the Final Rule carefully to see if DOJ listened and took into consideration the industry’s comments that were submitted. As proposed, this rule radically alters the manufacturing and compliance processes for manufacturers of traditional firearms, not just the making of incomplete, unfinished parts Congress has not chosen to regulate.

Chicagoland sheriff and “ghost gun” bans

So-called ghost guns – firearms that lack a serial number in some way – have become the major bugaboo for gun control groups. They’re demonized and ostracized in ways other firearms aren’t. And considering the way guns are treated in Chicago, that’s saying something.

Yet, the Cook County sheriff had opinions about how the state needed to pass a “ghost gun” ban.

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart on Thursday announced proposed legislation to ban ghost guns — homemade, untraceable firearms — which increasingly are being recovered on the county’s streets.

“We’re seeing an explosion,” Dart said at a news conference Oct. 14. “We’re seeing more and more.”

Ghost guns often are assembled from kits and are not marked with serial numbers like normal guns, making them harder to track. That means the gun parts can be purchased without a background check — a standard requirement for the purchase of a standard firearm from a federally licensed dealer.

The new legislation would ban the sale of ghost gun kits immediately and ban any privately assembled firearms unless they are registered with the state and marked with a serial number. The legislation also allows for a six-month grace period to let current ghost gun owners register them.

Once the loophole is closed, a first violation would be a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by as much as a year in jail. Any subsequent offense would be a Class 3 felony, punishable by a prison sentence of two to five years.

The truth of the matter is that Illinois passed a ban on so-called ghost guns. Dart got precisely what he wanted.

However, what he’s not going to get is reduced crime in the Chicago area.

First, as we know, unserialized firearms were used in just 0.36 percent of all homicides between 2016 and 2021. That means that homemade firearms, commonly called ghost guns, aren’t the driver of violent crime, as many, such as Dart, argue.

Plus, let’s face it. It’s not like Chicago was an oasis of domestic tranquility before incomplete receivers were on the market. Criminals there had no issue obtaining firearms via black market transactions or through theft prior to the rise of “ghost guns.” They’ll have no trouble obtaining them afterward.

And that’s if you could actually ban them into oblivion. You can’t because 3D printers are a thing, and those lower receivers – the actual “gun” part of a gun – can be printed at home after spending just a few hundred dollars on Amazon.

Brilliantly done. They’ve passed the law and accomplished nothing.

Then again, this is Illinois. None of their other gun control measures accomplished anything, so why should this one be any different?

I expect to see that nothing will change, and officials in Chicago will blame the continued proliferation of guns on states that actually respect their citizens’ right to keep and bear arms for Chicago’s problems.

In other words, I really mean it when I say nothing will change.

“Ghost guns” aren’t the problem, folks. They never have been, despite media hysteria for the last couple of years. Chicago is about to find that out.

I’m not surprised in the least. SloJoe™ has been an inveterate liar from day one in the Senate, so nothing new here.

Biden Trips All Over Himself and Tells a Boatload of Lies at Gun Control Event

Joe Biden was talking about his new dangerous gun control moves today, including a new rule on “ghost guns.” He announced a new nominee to head the ATF in a Rose Garden ceremony on Monday — former U.S. Attorney from Ohio under Barack Obama, Steve Dettlbach. Biden’s last nominee, David Chipman went down in flames because of concerns about his radical anti-gun positions.

From ABC:

A senior administration official told ABC News, “At its core, this rule clarifies that anyone who wants to purchase a weapon parts kit that can be readily be converted to a fully assembled firearm must go through the same process they would have to go through to purchase a commercially made firearm in short weapon parts kits that may be readily convertible into working fully assembled firearms must be treated under federal law.”

The rule also tackles ghost guns already made and in circulation. The DOJ will require federally licensed dealers that take in any un-serialized firearms to serialize them before selling the weapon. If a licensed dealer acquires a ghost gun, the rule will require them to serialize it before re-selling it.

Gun Owners of America have argued it’s an effort to expand gun registry and control even the ability to buy parts and repair guns. The legality of Biden’s new rule is likely to be challenged because the executive branch doesn’t get to make the law, that’s up to Congress.

Biden made several questionable comments during his remarks.

He confused the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives) with the AFT (The American Federation of Teachers).

[Not the first time he’s done that. It means his dementia is getting worse]

Then he spoke about prosecuting people with ghost guns for a federal crime.

As it is, these criminals are not being properly pursued in Democratic-run cities. Is he saying they weren’t being federally prosecuted already for gun crimes and he’s just discovering that now? Or how is this different?

Biden also repeated a lot of the lies that he commonly tells. Doesn’t any of his coterie ever try to tell him to stop repeating demonstrably untrue things? Either they don’t care or they tell him but he says it anyway because he just can’t stop lying.

He claimed that you couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed.

That’s a lie, you could. Indeed, you can now. He got four Pinocchios on this claim in the past. But that hasn’t stopped him from saying it.

Biden attacked gun manufacturers, claiming they had some kind of unique immunity that no other company has — that they can’t be sued. This is just untrue. They can be sued for anything relevant to their manufacture, such as if gun malfunctions. But why should they be responsible for the actions of a criminal with a gun? It would be like going after car manufacturers because a driver tried to run someone down. It’s idiotic. How would going after the manufacturers stop gun crime? It wouldn’t.

NYPD

Do you think they’d stroke out at the Shootist Holiday?

A scary stash of assault rifles and ammo are found in Dongan Hills, cops say. Man, 54, is arrested

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Assault rifles and over 900 bullets were confiscated from inside a home in Dongan Hills, police allege.

On Sunday at 8:02 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call of an alleged violent, emotionally-disturbed person at the apartment of Richard Thorpe, 54, on Jerome Road, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Thorpe was arrested that day and removed to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.

Inside Thorpe’s apartment, police recovered a Colt Match Target, described as a semi-automatic assault rifle, with a downward-pistol grip behind the trigger and a tube capable of launching grenades attached to the barrel, the criminal complaint alleges.

Officers allege they found about 179 rounds of ammunition that could be fired from the Colt using detachable magazines each holding more than 10 bullets.

Another semi-automatic assault rifle, a KBI SA 85M, had a thumbhole stock behind the trigger and accepted detachable magazines, the complaint alleges.

The defendant allegedly possessed about 205 rounds of ammunition that could be fired from that rifle. Officers also seized some detachable magazines, including clips with capacity of 30 or 40 rounds, according to the complaint.

A 12-gauge shotgun, a Remington 870 Express Magnum, was seized along with 145 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.

Officers confiscated 222 rounds of .22-caliber bullets, 167 rounds of .45-caliber bullets, and another 17 bullets of various calibers, according to the complaint.

The criminal complaint alleges that the suspect “has no permit to possess said firearms and shotgun, and the defendant is not a dealer in rifles or shotguns in New York City.”

Thorpe has been charged with criminal possession of an assault weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and multiple violations.

Thorpe has been released under supervision and is due to appear in Criminal Court on April 29.

An attorney for the defendant did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Patrol Officers Viera and Deljudice along with Field Intelligence officers (FIO) are credited with the effort that was prompted by a “call of threats,” according to a post on the 122nd Precinct Twitter feed.

“No job is routine,” the post said.

BLUF:
It’s time to renovate the FBI. Tear it all down to the studs and rebuild. Fire everyone. Everyone must go because no one can be trusted. There are simply too many bad people acting in bad faith and peddling heinous political agendas for this institution to be trusted.
The once preeminent law enforcement and domestic intelligence agency that was the gold standard in professionalism and impartiality when it came to investigative endeavors has become the secret police for the Democratic Party.
This isn’t new. The hyper-politicization of the FBI and DOJ got a massive shot of steroids under the Obama administration. There is a deep state. There is corruption within the halls of the DOJ.
It all must go before trust can be rebuilt. Period.

How the FBI Got Whacked By Their Own Boomerang in the Gretchen Whitmer Kidnapping Case

This is a massive scandal. I know I’m being generous here after the Russian collusion hoax, but whatever crumb of credibility the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice has now been lost. The Gretchen Whitmer circus has finally come down. It’s been exposed. This case was weaponized by Democrats for the 2020 election to attack Donald Trump over an alleged kidnapping plot against Whitmer over her COVID-19 protocols. Members of a militia group were supposedly involved.

What was seen as a slam-dunk case by the Feds turned out to be an embarrassing exposure of their entrapment games that netted them zero convictions in this case. Zilch. Two men were outright found not guilty by a federal jury. The rest were deadlocked. It’s over, and if the FBI wants to rehash all their embarrassing moments in this case—be our guest.

Biden’s call for gun control smacked down by reality

President Joe Biden, like many gun control advocates, wasted no time at all in calling for Congress to enact new legislation in the wake of the latest shooting in Sacramento. In their minds, another mass shooting could only mean gun control was needed and needed swiftly.

However, as we now know, reality slapped the president in the face.

In the immediate aftermath of a mass shooting in Sacramento, California, that killed six and injured 15, President Joe Biden echoed a familiar sentiment among Democrats: “We must do more than mourn; we must act.”

Of course, Biden was specifically calling for further restrictions on Americans’ second amendment rights as an answer to the country’s ongoing surge in violent crime.

“We also continue to call on Congress to act,” the president said in a statement. “Ban ghost guns. Require background checks for all gun sales. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability.”

But new revelations from law enforcement quickly discredited Democrats’ broad claims that gun regulations would have prevented the deadly incident. Instead, it appeared that, if anything, a tougher stance from law enforcement was due.

First, news broke that one of the suspects in the shooting, 27-year-old Smiley Martin, is a dangerous career criminal who was granted early release from prison only weeks before the shootout occurred — in spite of pleading and warning from the county’s district attorney. The other suspect, 26-year-old Dandrae Martin, also has a criminal record.

Then on Wednesday, police in Sacramento reported that at least five suspects and “two groups of men” were involved in the shooting. They added that it had become “increasingly clear that gang violence is at the center of this tragedy.”

See, this is what they get for jumping and calling for regulations before we know anything.

Don’t get me wrong, even if this had been exactly what Biden and his crowd thought it was, I’d still oppose gun control, but at least we’d be looking at things that had some degree of bearing on what happened.

Instead, we get the same blanket pronouncements and the advancement of still more gun control policies that have been on the table for a while–all of which exist in California, it should be noted.

Biden and others pushed that narrative, confident that it wouldn’t be challenged, which was idiotic. This is California, which has all the gun control laws they’re talking about, and what good did it do?

I mean, one of the shooters had a weapon that was illegally modified to be full-auto–that violates federal law as well.

Didn’t help, now did it?

Time and time again, gun control jihadists do this. They jump at the opportunity to push their agenda without waiting for all the facts.

Usually, they screw up things like calling for an assault weapon ban, saying how it’s needed to stop a mass shooting like the one that just transpired, only for us to learn the shooter used a handgun. Things like that.

This time, though, it’s not even a mass shooting as we tend to think of it. It was gang warfare and at least one of the shooters was free because of policies explicitly backed by Democrats.

It’s kind of hard to make pronouncements about how Republicans are making people unsafe when one of the alleged killers is only free because of Democrats.

President Biden would have done well to simply offer his sympathies to the families of those killed, then said we need to wait and learn exactly what happened before we try and figure out how to address it. However, that’s not his MO and it never has been.

Which is why reality treated Biden like he was Chris Rock and he’d just joked about Reality’s wife’s hair.

ATF’s War on Privately Made Guns Based on Fake Numbers

Was the ATF’s war on privately manufactured firearms based on bad information?

That is the question that AmmoLand News wants to be answered.

For a bit of background…. the ATF’s attack on unfinished frames and receivers was largely based on the work of former Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Division, Carlos A. Canino.

Special Agent Canino told the Bloomberg-funded propaganda website,, the Trace,,, that 41% of all firearms recovered were “ghost guns.”

But was that number truly accurate?

That is what the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project wanted to know. So, they reached out to the ATF to get answers. And to their credit. ATF’s Public Affairs Spokesperson, Erik Longnecker, actually answered SAF’s email.

Longnecker stated that he contacted the ATF’s LA Field Division, the source of the suspicious number, but they could not verify Canino’s wild claim.

Keep in mind this now unverifiable data is what kicked off the BIDEN-ATF war against homemade firearms.

This bogus information will shut down American companies and cost 1000s of people their jobs when the new rule surrounding homemade guns is unveiled later this month. More importantly, Americans will be severely hampered in their ability to make their own guns because of bad data.

So, what is the point of pushing flawed data?

Well, that question is easy to answer. The gun grabbers want to confuse & conflate stolen guns with obliterated serial numbers,,, with perfectly legal homemade firearms. That way, they can demonize a historical American tradition and push for it to be banned.

The ATF teaming up and providing unverifiable information to the propaganda arm of the Bloomberg anti-gun machine is just another example of why it is time to defund and disband the out-of-control government agency.

One of the main problems with the data about unserialized firearms is that most statistics do not separate home-built firearms from factory-made guns that had the serial numbers scratched off. Most cops have never even seen a gun made from an 80% kit show up at a crime scene. It is easier for criminals to buy a stolen gun on a street corner than it is to build a pistol from a Polymer80 kit.

It is part of the gun-grabbers playbook.

When they didn’t like bump stocks, they exploited a tragedy to empower the ATF to change the rules to ban the device. These underhanded tactics aren’t new. This is what they do.

Joe Biden is The Doomsday Scenario We Were Warned About.

I have a new name for the current occupant of the White House: Doomsday Joe. We have heard “Creepy Joe,” “Ol’ Joe,” “Sleepy Joe,” and “Stumblin’ Joe,” but now let’s add “Doomsday Joe,” because he, the Democrat Party, and the puppet masters behind the scenes are producing the script and pulling the strings are a cluster munition weapon of mass destruction that is wreaking havoc across America. Who can objectively assert that anything they are doing is good for America or for our allies in the free countries of the world (assuming any remain post-COVID)?

Using the following template, I believe this review can be instructive as to how we conservatives, and our fellow Americans, decide to vote: 1) the Constitution, 2) national security, and 3) the economy.

Let’s examine a few examples, for which there will be minimal commentary so as comprehensive a list as possible is provided in the space allowed. After all, isn’t the “long train of abuses and usurpations” obvious?

The Constitution

Doomsday Joe has done nothing that follows either the spirit or the letter of the Constitution. Instead, he has supported every cultural or deep-state initiative to avoid its appointed limits, if not just pull it out by the roots.

Doomsday Joe’s vaccine mandates were unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court said so. The White House Chief of Staff, Ron Klain openly admitted on one of the Sunday talk shows that having OSHA issue the mandate was intended to be a “work-around” of both Congress and the Constitution. So much for that oath of office, right, Joe?

Doomsday Joe has nominated another leftist activist who will (when, inevitably, confirmed) spend the next 30 years or more attacking the Constitution. Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson is the product of a sustained campaign to fill law schools across America not with constitutional scholars who will teach the beauty, value, and singular nature of the Constitution, but with activists who teach how to work around or dismantle the Constitution and conform the law to their own self-serving purposes.

Judge Jackson has a good résumé, with earned accolades. But will the Judge support packing the court? Inquiring minds want to know. Packing the court would destroy the opportunity to challenge a law’s adherence to the Constitution, it will destroy the average citizen’s access to the courts to sue for our guaranteed rights and will deal the Constitution the death blow long sought by the Left.

Doomsday Joe unleashed the unconstitutional powers of the federal bureaucracy on day one to stifle all political dissent and sorely punish all who questioned the outcome of the 2020 election. Even Judge Jackson understands the importance of equal rights under the law and due process, for she defended Al Qaeda terrorists detained at Guantanamo Bay. But when Sen. Ted Cruz asked about her position on individuals’ “natural rights,” Judge Jackson stated she had “no position.”

Is that not just perfect? Judge Jackson has a completely fluid, situational-ethics-based view of how the Constitution shall be applied—favorably to Leftist-favored causes but denied to those deemed “deplorable.”

Right out of nowhere
FBI? NO CLUE.
US Secret Service? NO CLUE.
The whole Department of Homeland Security? NO CLUE.
Nobody had a clue.
The Secret Service agents these guys had corrupted were absolute morons. Those agents thought nothing about getting a “free” apartment, just because their new buddy said he worked for DHS and his agency had some “spare” apartments in the building they could just use for free?
Federal rules are to report any attempts to be given gifts, but they kept their mouths shut. It’s easy to figure out why. Remember the news stories about the Secret Service agents drunken whoring on foreign trips during Obammy’s and Trump’s terms in office? ‘Second Verse- Same As The First’ It’s perfect for setting up a bachelor pad while telling your wife you got held over for a long shift or were traveling on a detail.
That’s why these guys never mentioned it and then they were compromised Likely they divulged sensitive ‘TTP’ -tactics, techniques and procedures – of Secret Service security. Not because they were blackmailed, but because why would you suspect a ‘fellow agent’?

So, what was the deal? The deal is that these guys were either advance party or were the actual team planning to whack somebody.
Like right out of a Tom Clancy or WEB Griffin novel.
It looks like this started after Trump ordered the hit on that Iranian General, Sulemanni. I think these guys are long term, deep cover Iranian assets. Likely Islamic Revolutionary Guard Qud’s Force. The best analogy being; this bunch of moslem terrorist fanatics is like a combination of the CIA and JSOC for the mullahs in Tehran. They were activated after Sulemanni got charbequed to figure out how to return the sentiment. And anybody who thinks for a moment that this was the only cell working the problem is an idiot.

Here’s what makes this scary
If it wasn’t for a US Postal Service inspector looking into a totally unrelated crime, none of this would have been discovered until ‘after’.

2 posed as agents, gave gifts to Secret Service officers

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors on Wednesday charged two men they say were posing as federal agents, giving free apartments and other gifts to U.S. Secret Service agents, including one who worked on the first lady’s security detail.

The two men — Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 36 — were taken into custody as more than a dozen FBI agents charged into a luxury apartment building in Southeast Washington on Wednesday evening.

Prosecutors allege Taherzadeh and Ali had falsely claimed to work for the Department of Homeland Security and work on a special task force investigating gang and violence connected to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. They allege the two posed as law enforcement officers to integrate with actual federal agents.
