Sorry, Bill Gates, I Will Not Exist Off Synthetic Meat.

I’m not a big fan of veganism.

Understand, I think people should be free to do as they wish so long as they don’t harm anyone else, and I would oppose any effort to ban veganism or anything of the sort. Still, I don’t like it.

Why? Because veganism is full of vegans.

See, these are people who seem to believe that we’re all morally obligated to live a life as they do, regardless of any other factors.

Now, we seem to have Bill Gates pushing the same kind of crap.

Bill Gates recently said that he believes rich nations would help the global fight against climate change by consuming only plant-based meat products instead of beef.

In a recent interview with Technology Review, Gates discussed his new book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster,” and emphasized the benefits rich nations could produce by moving to “100% synthetic beef.”

“I do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef,” Gates said when asked about how countries can help to reduce methane emissions when it comes to food production. “You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time.”

The philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder told the outlet he is hopeful that a turn to plant-based proteins will help combat methane emissions produced by livestock.

Yeah, sorry, Bill, ain’t gonna happen.

First, understand that what people like Gates aren’t talking about is the forced extinction of at least one entire species. If you’re talking about going to plant-based meats because of greenhouse gas emissions, you’re talking about also exterminating cattle from the Earth.

For animal rights activists—a sizeable segment of vegans who offer up similar proposals—this should be a non-starter. If meat is murder, what is this but genocide?

Second, I have a personal reason to oppose this. I’m allergic to soy, which is a key ingredient in almost every plant-based meat on the market. Remove meat from my diet and you basically make it impossible for me to get enough protein.

Hell, most of my family has this same allergy.

What Gates is pushing isn’t possible for us. Somehow, though, they never think about that, nor do they care about it.

And then you have the potential health issues from a high soy diet.

More than that, though, is the idea that in addition to talking about climate change, Gates has been doing a lot of talking about health lately—what with his authority status with the media regarding vaccines and such—yet sits there looking like a human potato. He’s simply not healthy-looking himself, yet the media hangs on his every word about it.

So they never question pronouncements like this.

Of course, then there’s the fact that Gates seems to think that Americans should suffer for the benefit of humanity on something that, frankly, isn’t necessarily going to make a difference.

When it comes to climate change, what proponents have never been able to do is tell me why I should take scientists’ pronouncements seriously when they haven’t gotten a single climate change model right.

Not. A. One.

Modeling is supposed to give us an idea of what will happen, but if all the models are wrong, then there’s a reason why they are. If they haven’t been able to correct the models, then it sounds like climate scientists don’t understand climate nearly as well as they like to think they do.

And if the models were actually too optimistic, that would be one thing, but they’re not. They’re seriously overshooting where things are going to be, which tells me that I really shouldn’t take them seriously.

Gates, however, thinks I should not just take them seriously, but that we should also completely change our lives and our lifestyles, risk our health, and wipe out entire animal species, all because of scientists who can’t get a single model right.

Yeah, that’s just not going to happen.

Nor should it happen. Billionaires don’t get to tell us how to live our life. No one does. That’s the beauty that is America.

Gates can go suck on a soybean plant. I’m going to have a steak.

“The power of Gun Control compels you!” Vermont legislates superstition in hospital gun ban

For the longest time, Vermont stood as a curious exception among states with Democrat- dominated governments, having practically no gun control laws. Constitutional carry was the tradition since the founding of the state and was sometimes called Vermont Carry in the Second Amendment community.

That sadly changed in 2018 when a swathe of new laws like (unenforceable) background checks for private sales, “high-capacity” magazine ban, a bump stock ban, red flag laws, and raising the age requirement were passed, proving to the Second Amendment community that no state is safe from the rapacious Gun Grab Lobby even if it has a centuries-long tradition of unimpeded gun ownership and low violence rates going back to the founding era.

Continuing the assault on the Second Amendment, the Vermont legislature passed a new bill which was signed into law by Republican Governor Phil Scott last week. This new law extends the background check “default proceed” duration from 3 days to 7 days, allowing the government to further delay the exercise of Second Amendment rights when the “instant” background check system doesn’t instantly return a clear answer.

Clean up in aisle Biden – Clarifying the clarification. One More Time™

All this senile dolt can do is open his mouth and insert his feet.
He’s handed prepared answers, but he still can’t cut it.
The problem is, as POTUS, what he says IS POLICY (until it gets walked back by his lackeys). I wonder what could happen one day, when he might go total alzheimers, get his ‘back up’ in a fit of irate dementia, makes an idiotic decision and then tells his staff where to go when they try to walk it back?

White House Clarifies Joe Biden’s Claim U.S. Troops Training Ukrainians in Poland

The White House on Monday attempted to clarify what President Joe Biden said to reporters about Americans training Ukrainian troops in Poland.

During a question and answer session with members of the media at the White House, Biden responded to a question concerning his remark last week about what U.S. service members would see in Ukraine, “when you’re there.”

“You’re going to see, when you’re there, and some of you have been there, you’re going to see women, young people, standing in front of a damn tank…” he said.

But when asked Monday to explain what he meant, Biden said he was only talking with American troops about training the Ukrainians in Poland.

“I was talking to the troops. We are talking about helping train the troops in – that are in – the Ukrainian troops that are in Poland,” Biden said. “That’s what the context [was].”

“I was referring to being with and talking with the Ukrainian troops that are in Poland,” he added later in his remarks.

But the White House had to walk that back, after Politico reported on the exchange.

“There are Ukrainian soldiers in Poland interacting on a regular basis with U.S. troops, and that’s what the President was referring to,” a White House official said, clarifying Biden’s remarks.

If the United States is actually training the Ukrainian people, it would be a major development for the United States in the ongoing conflict between Poland and Russia.

Biden has repeatedly discussed American troops being deployed to Poland, but only to bolster NATO defenses, not to take an active role in Ukraine’s defense against Russia.

In December, Politico reported that Biden turned down a plan from the United States military to send in special operations personnel to Ukraine to advise and train the Ukrainians.

The Biden team nixed the idea over concerns of escalating tensions with Russia.

The idea of American troops in Ukraine is not uncommon.

In February, before Russia escalated its war, the Pentagon announced its decision to withdraw 160 members of the Florida National Guard who were in Ukraine training their military.

Safety and Security for me, but not for Thee.

Dozens of Chicago cops guard mayor and family in below-the-radar security unit created in 2020
The unit protects Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Logan Square home and City Hall. Like past mayors, she also has a personal bodyguard detail.……………

Of course, with Chicago crime stats like this; Murders up 55%, Shootings up 63%, Carjackings up 204%, her concern may be justified, and I’m not talking about danger from the criminal element, but a fed up citizenry.

Spiraling Violence in Chicago: Causes and Solutions

For several years prior to 2020, violent crime in America’s major cities was on the decline. But since the riots that summer following the death of George Floyd, it is heading in the opposite direction.

Murders nationwide in 2020 rose a stunning 29.4 percent over the previous year, the largest annual increase since the FBI began tracking that data in the 1960s. The number of murders in Chicago climbed even more sharply, rising 55 percent. It was as if a switch had been flipped. At least ten major U.S. cities hit new murder highs in 2021, but Chicago led the way with 797, the city’s highest number in 25 years.

Chicago’s violent crime epidemic is not limited to murder. The city’s 3,561 shooting incidents in 2021 were up 63 percent over 2019. Expressway shootings in Chicago-Cook County rose even more dramatically, from 51 in 2019 to 130 in 2020 to 273 in 2021. These expressway shootings pushed Chicago’s actual 2021 murder total north of 800.

No Country for Old Men

The President of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., who is 79 years old and suffering from senile dementia at the end of a long life of bullying, lying, boasting, conniving, grifting, grafting, and living off the public tit to an extent indecent even by Washington standards, declared war on Russia on Friday. In the course of a typically blustering, hectoring speech, the senescent Biden went off script and interpolated the following peroration: “My God, this man cannot remain in power.”

To which the only proper response is: “My God, this man cannot remain in the Oval Office.” Joe Biden needs to be removed from the White House as soon as possible, before his failing mind, his erratic behavior, and his proven lack of character get us all killed. The question is, is there enough political will in the capital to do what needs to be done?

Biden’s blunder was immediately walked back by the few adults left in the room, called a “gaffe,” or—worse—actually defended by the neocons and other leftists as truth-telling on a heroic scale, evocative of Ronald Reagan’s 1987 “tear down this wall” speech at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, which two years later actually did result in the Wall coming down. But his rash words continue to ring, now matter how swiftly his handlers and apologists and even Biden himself try to make us disbelieve our own lying ears:

Mush-mouthed as usual, and delivered with all the Scrantonian sincerity of one of his typical campaign speeches, Biden’s address was not only the low-water mark of his presidency so far, but a nadir in the history of the United States and its practice of diplomacy.

Suspicion confirmed about being told what to say.
SloJoe can’t even keep on point when given his talking points on a notecard.
The first pic is of him holding the notecard. The second is zoomed in on it

SloJoe lies through his teeth and ‘walks back’ what he said previously even as he denies doing so.
Which likely means he got his chocolate ice cream ration threatened for going off script and was told what to say when the question came up.

Joe Biden Unleashes the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

David Solway wrote Sunday that “there is now considerable anxiety that an Armageddon scenario may have become a possibility.” That is absolutely true, but it is also true that in another sense, the Armageddon scenario is already upon us. Joe Biden may appear to be simply a dementia-ridden puppet fronting for a corrupt, America-Last administration, but his failure as president is so comprehensive, so all-encompassing, that it has taken on eschatological dimensions: Old Joe Biden has unleashed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Armageddon, if you haven’t read the Book of Revelation lately, is the place where the forces of evil gather for the final battle with the faithful (Revelation 16:16). The same Biblical book, which is the last book of the New Testament, presents the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (the final destruction of the world) in a terrifying vision that is often understood as referring to the end times.
First there is “a white horse, and its rider had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.”
The second horse is “bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword.”
Then follows “a black horse, and its rider had a balance in his hand,” apparently for the rationing of food in a time of famine.
Finally, there is “a pale horse, and its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6:1-8)

The four horses and four afflictions, conquest, war, famine, and pestilence, neatly encapsulate the administration of Joe Biden. Old Joe himself is to a great degree responsible for this impression, as he seems to like to sound apocalyptic notes. He certainly has done so more than once, particularly when he declared on Dec. 16, 2021, “For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm.” There’s the Biden pestilence. Yes, COVID-19 came upon us during the Trump years, but Biden promised to end it, and that turned out to be yet another of his empty promises. With Anthony Fauci threatening that “more rigid” restrictions are in the offing, pestilence looks as if it’s going to be a permanent feature of the Biden era.

The Biden famine is more of a threat than reality as of yet, but it could come to us any day now. As PJM’s Athena Thorne noted, Biden said Thursday, “With regard to food shortage, yes, we did sss- re- re- s- talk about food shortages. And, uh, and it’s gonna be real. The price of these sanctions, ahem, is not just imposed upon Russia, it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well.”

Biden’s war is obvious: it is happening in Ukraine now. However much the establishment media tries to blame Trump for Putin invading Ukraine, and pretend that Trump would be applauding his move if he were still president, the ineluctable fact remains that Putin moved against Ukraine and occupied Crimea while Barack Obama was president, did nothing while Donald Trump was president, and launched the present invasion while Old Joe Biden was pretending to be president. And conquest? Look at the people streaming into the country across what is officially known as the Southern border. If they keep coming at the rate they came in 2021, Biden’s threat to transform America fundamentally will be a reality.

Joe Biden has not just unleashed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. His entire political career as a serial liar of marginal (at best) competence, cheerfully savaging Clarence Thomas and others for political gain, parading his religiosity while going to war against actual religion, presents us once again with the age-old theological problem: why do the wicked prosper? Whatever the answer may be, Joe does prosper, and that means we don’t.

And maybe Old Joe isn’t a tool of the apocalypse at all, but just another corrupt kleptocrat feeding at the public trough and selling out the people he is supposed to be serving for his own short-sighted gain. Either way, it’s going to be tough times ahead.

The Embarrassment In Chief

Genuine leaders never have to draw attention to how good their quality of leadership is.

Likewise terrible leaders almost always have crutches they lean on to hoist themselves upon to look like they’re  leading.

This weekend was a case study in both.

After ending the somewhat mystical trip *President Biden made to NATO this week he decided to pay the troops a “surprise visit.”

He immediately gave a bizarre speech to men and women in uniform, broke all military protocol and insulted them in the mess hall, and issued a proclamation about regime change.

Meanwhile a former uniformed Captain in the US Army was busy in another struggle to pursue excellence, chase improvement, and to conduct one’s self with such discipline and effort that they literally slept that night with no regret.

Biden told the troops he leads that “When they go to Ukraine soon, and some of them had already been there, that they were going to see women stand in the middle of… er in front of a damn tank… and say ‘I’m not leavin’, I’m holding’ my ground… they’re incredible.

Aside from the fact that our policy is that we are not sending our troops into Ukraine, it’s likely he pulled the rest of that made up imaginary scenario from stuff he saw on TV and or was from a dream that was caused by some undigested beef from the night before.

The other leader, when a camera was on him early in the week, had taken the moment to acknowledge the effort of those he labored against. “They were really tough,” he admitted. He then proceeded to give 100% of the credit to the people he leads, “but my guys, they worked so hard, and they’ve grown up so much in the past 10-12 days, and I just couldn’t be prouder. I kept thinking to myself ‘Holy Mackerel! I get to lead these guys.”

After Biden’s speech it was time to eat and upon entering the mess hall, he wandered over to a table, saw a box of pizza, proclaimed “hey look the pizza’s here.” He then opened it, his shaky grip waving a piece back and forth he lifted it to his lips and scarfed it. The only problem being that in the military the officers eat last and the higher the rank the longer you wait. And as the commander in chief no one out-ranked him. The shock and dismay by the troops in the room was captured on video and in pictures that flooded social media.

Meanwhile as the other leader was preparing his young men for their next challenge, the most serious they had faced yet, they were effusive to the camera about their leader’s example to them. They spoke of his personal commitment to helping them become better men in all of life—not merely the pursuit of their established goal. And to a man each of them said that the success in their present challenge was driven by a desire to honor him, for his lifetime of pouring out that good example to generations of men.

Before boarding Air Force One to return to the United States, speaking on Polish soil, Biden free formed this proclamation, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.” It was a reference to Putin and openly disputed current policy. But even if it is or was in the process of becoming policy one would think it pretty stupid to openly say it. Especially so when the named paranoid dictator already suspects it to be the aim of the US.

Meanwhile the other leader, former United States Army Captain, and the winningest coach in college basketball’s history, Mike Krzyzewski, when asked his strategy to defeating Michigan State, Texas Tech, and Arkansas in back to back difficult tests in this year’s March Madness, would only talk publicly about the need to respect their opponent and to use grit and smarts to out play them.

The fact of the matter is that “Coach K” has on every occasion his team has won the national championship given all the credit to his players. And in every major loss on the national stage he’s shoulder all of the blame and responsibility for not preparing them well enough.

With Biden every tiny success comes from his own genius, his storied toughness, his impressive ability to do things that no one else has ever seemingly done. (Even if most of them never happened.)

And in the middle of one of the most miserable administrations we the American people have lived through he blames everyone except the very policies he’s put in place that has created the national malaise he ushered in.

Sadly we are losing the humble faithful soldiers like Mike Krzyzewski on the national stage. His enduring excellence has produced 15 ACC Tournament Championships, 13 Final Fours, 11 Coach of the year honors, 9 Gold Medals and 5 national championships with one more shot dangling before him.

Instead we’re stuck with a man who’s been in politics roughly the same length of time that the Coach has been coaching and as his own former boss would say should never be “underestimated when it comes to the ability to ‘mess’ things up.”

Character, humility, and service to others.

I know which of these two men I want my sons to emulate.

Democrats (why do you think I call them demoncraps?) Need to Be Destroyed

How do you negotiate with a terrorist? You can’t. They want you dead, you don’t want to be dead; where is the compromise? Can you be half-dead? One-quarter dead? Can you offer them an arm if they’ll just leave the rest of you alone? If they accepted, would you believe them? You’d be an idiot to do so, just like you’d be an idiot to believe anything coming out of the mouths of Democrats these days. No “good faith effort” is going to make them honest, they are lying frauds out to destroy everything great in this country. They’re a Terminator for American Exceptionalism. As such, they have no conscience, they can’t be reasoned with, they must be destroyed.

Rush Limbaugh used to say he wanted to convince everyone over to conservatism, but he wanted a few liberals around still just to show people what they were like, otherwise no one would believe there were people that crazy. That was a couple of generations of insanity ago. What currently calls itself Democrats bears no resemblance to what once was “Democrats.”

Just 25 years ago, there was no question that Democrats knew what a “woman” was. Do you really think Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy were confused by the concept? No man has come forward claiming to have been sexually assaulted by them, so they either knew or managed to bat 1.000 with their guesses.

Nowadays, what a woman is has reverted to a mystery. All the knowledge accumulated throughout all of human history on the subject has been tucked back, far out of sight, so as to obscure even a chromosome test. Even God is confused, having made so many “mistakes” that even the angels in Heaven lost all understanding of what the other gender is. There are now men and other people who may or may not be men, or they’re something else, there’s simply no way to know.

The nation’s hotel doormat, USA Today, ran the dumbest piece ever written in any language in a desperate attempt to defend Ketanji Brown Jackson from criticism over not being able to define “woman.” (The answer, by the way, is: adult human female. Pretty simple.) Entitled, “Marsha Blackburn asked Ketanji Brown Jackson to define ‘woman.’ Science says there’s no simple answer,” this is a skillful piece of propaganda that would make Joseph Goebbels proud.

Not being able to define woman because she’s “not a biologist,” Jackson exposed herself as a radical leftist moron, uninterested in reality. Any respect I had for her was gone. Granted, it wasn’t much; I refused to “celebrate” her because of her skin color or which bathroom she uses. Once she claimed not to be able to answer this basic question there were only 2 options for what type of person she is: stupid or liar.

I don’t know which it is, nor do I care. Neither is acceptable for a Supreme Court Justice.

USA Today wrote, “Scientists, gender law scholars and philosophers of biology said Jackson’s response was commendable, though perhaps misleading. It’s useful, they say, that Jackson suggested science could help answer Blackburn’s question, but they note that a competent biologist would not be able to offer a definitive answer either.”

I added the emphasis to highlight exactly how these modern Nazi operate in their propaganda. Not biologists, but “competent biologists.” You either agree with your liberal masters or you are incompetent.

The “experts” the story quotes are, “a scientist and gender studies scholar at Barnard College whose work explores the relationships between science and the social hierarchies of gender and sexuality,” “a Harvard scholar, historian and philosopher of biology who focuses on the sciences of sex and gender and their policy dimensions,” “a professor of gender studies at UCLA who specializes in gender and the law,” and “a gender studies professor at Wheaton College who studies social inequality.” When you’re as dumb as a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. When your only prospects for employment are perpetuating left-wing lies in academia and government so those grant dollars keep rolling in, well, you can see how it works…

These people are evil. Not wrong; evil. They’re also wrong, but they know they’re wrong, yet they continue which makes them evil.

It is impossible to know what it feels like to be any other person on the planet, let alone another gender. But the concept is a great tool for control over the feebleminded, and when you control the public education system and pop culture, you can churn out feebleminded people at an alarming rate. (I go into all of this in hilarious, but filthy, explicit language in my obscenity-laced weekly podcast “The Week in F*cking Review” this week. If you don’t have a sense of humor or are easily offended, it’s not for you. You have been warned.)

Beating Democrats isn’t enough. If you beat them, the regroup, repackage, and come back again. No one can focus group new ways to lie to people like Democrats.

No, they must be destroyed. Thoroughly. That means not only opposed, but roundly mocked everywhere they pop up. They have created a culture of fragile psyches who need external validation like Hunter Biden needs crack and hookers. Deny them what they need most and they crumble.

Refuse to play their game. They do it all the time. In the same USA Today there was an article entitled, “Bella Thorne, ‘slut-shaming’ and the consequences of policing women.” It quoted at length a Daily Beast article entitled, “Bella Thorne Is Tired of Being Slut-Shamed.” Aside from the fact that I can think of a pretty easy and obvious way not to be “slut-shamed,” the very concept of the articles acknowledge womanhood. These people aren’t stupid, they know what they’re doing.

They run stories about how COVID is deadly to the obese and how obesity is the leading cause of death in the country, then run “beautiful at any size” and anti-fat-shaming articles featuring “models” with a gravitational pull. You can’t have both; it can’t be both, if you’re honest.

But Democrats aren’t honest, they’re evil. Call them out for it, point it out everywhere. Sure, it may cause you to be punished by social media companies, but they already hate you.

The other day I tweeted that Elon Musk should buy Twitter – he’s worth about a quarter of a trillion dollars and Twitter is only just over $22 billion – his net worth would increase by more than the purchase price while the paperwork was being finalized. Maybe he saw it? Maybe he had a similar thought, since the next day he launched a cryptic poll on the subject.

Whatever the case, and it would be awesome if that happened, we can’t wait to be saved, we have to save ourselves. And to do that we must destroy the Democrats. Beat them on every front, but especially at the ballot box. A slim majority won’t do it, it has to be huge and it has to be everywhere.

Sorry to say it, but Rush was wrong about this. We don’t need to keep a few around as cautionary tales, we can read about them in books or watch old TV shows or movies. You don’t keep a few termites around to remind you of the damage they’ve done to your house, and we don’t need any Democrats to remind us of the damage they’ve done to the country. Destroy them all.

The White House staff has to continually ‘Clean Up’ after SloJoe.
So, who’s really in charge and running things?
It sure appears that Biden isn’t.

White House Rushes To Clean Up Disastrous Remarks Biden Made About Putin During Speech.

The White House was forced to once again clean up highly problematic remarks made by Democrat President Joe Biden during his trip to Poland this week.

“A dictator, bent on rebuilding an empire, will never erase the people’s love for liberty,” Biden said on Saturday at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. “Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia, for free people refuse to live in a world of hopelessness and darkness. For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”

The White House had to quickly clean up the president’s remarks after they were widely interpreted in reports as him calling for regime change in Russia.

“The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region,” a White House official said. “He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”

The administration also had to clean up remarks that Biden made in Poland on Friday when he appeared to tell U.S. soldiers that they would be getting deployed to Ukraine, which would represent a serious escalation in the ongoing conflict, and would draw NATO into the war against Russia.

ABC News reported that Biden “raised eyebrows when he appeared to tell the group that American troops will be going into Ukraine, though he has repeatedly said that he will not send troops there.”

“You know, with the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian people have a lot of backbone, they have a lot of guts and I’m sure you’re observing it,” Biden said. “And you’re gonna see when you’re there, and some of you have been there. You’re gonna see, you’re gonna see women, young people standing, standing in the middle, in front of a damn tank, just saying I’m not leaving. I’m holding my ground. They’re incredible. But they take a lot of inspiration from us.”

The Biden administration had to swiftly clean up after the president by issuing a statement claiming that his position on deploying U.S. soldiers had not changed.

“The president has been clear we are not sending U.S. troops to Ukraine and there is no change in that position,” the administration said.

The administration also had to clean up remarks that Biden made on Thursday when he said that if Russia were to use chemical weapons in Ukraine, “it would trigger a response in-kind.”

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said the U.S. has “no intention” of using chemical weapons and that what Biden meant was that Russia would pay a “severe price.”

“And I won’t go beyond that other than to say the United States has no intention of using chemical weapons, period, under any circumstances,” Sullivan said. “I will just say, with respect to any use of weapons of mass destruction — nuclear, chemical, biological — Russia would pay a severe price.”

Flashback:
Biden warns of ‘winter of severe illness and death’ for the unvaccinated.

You don’t hear anyone trying to attribute this crap-for-brains jabber to a speech impediment anymore, do ya?

BIDEN WARNS OF FOOD SHORTAGES IN WAKE OF RUSSIA–UKRAINE WAR: ‘It’s Going to Be Real.’

President Biden warned that the Russian invasion of Ukraine will likely cause food shortages in some parts of the world because both countries are major exporters of wheat, in remarks to reporters in Brussels on Wednesday.

“It’s going to be real. The price of these sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia; it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well,” Biden said. “Both Russia and Ukraine have been the breadbasket of Europe in terms of wheat, for example — just to give you one example.”

Biden added that the heads of the G-7 nations discussed potential food shortages and ways to alleviate them, raising the possibility that the U.S. and Canada could increase exports.

“We had a long discussion in the G-7 with both the United States, which has a significant — the third largest producer of wheat in the world, as well as Canada, which is also a major, major producer. And we both talked about how we could increase and disseminate more rapidly food shortages,” Biden said.

Ukraine and Russia combined export over a quarter of the global supply of wheat and one-fifth of the world’s corn supply, Bloomberg noted earlier this month. Several Mediterranean nations could face a major supply crunch. Over 80 percent of Lebanon’s wheat imports come from Ukraine, while over 60 percent of Turkey’s wheat imports come from Russia, according to U.N. Comtrade data cited by the Financial Times.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at a press conference earlier this week that the U.S. is itself not expecting a food shortage for Americans.

“While we’re not expecting a food shortage here at home, we do anticipate that higher energy, fertilizer, wheat, and corn prices could impact the price of growing and purchasing critical . . . food supplies for countries around the world,” Psaki told reporters.

Senility strikes again, and wars have started from crap-for-brains blather like this.

If people try to say; ‘he means when they’ll see this when they’re in Poland’ They are ALREADY IN POLAND.

Biden Just Stuck His Foot Straight in His Mouth in a Way That Could Set off WWIII

Joe Biden arrived in Poland on Friday to meet with the Polish president. While there, he also met with the U.S. military members who are stationed there as part of the NATO defense of Poland. He met with some of the 82nd Airborne. Some of what he said during the visit was very concerning and is likely to excite all kinds of comments. Biden frequently says embarrassing things and it’s bad. But this time, what he said is even worse and could blow back on us big time………………..

****
extraneous, not on point, preliminary stuff. read the article if you want
****

But here’s the bad thing he said that could blow back on us big time and he needs to explain what the heck he is talking about here. He appeared to tell the members of the 82nd Airborne what they could expect when they arrived in Ukraine. What?

You’re going to see when you’re there — some of you have been there — you’re going to see women, young people standing in the middle, in the front of a damn tank saying ‘I’m not leaving,’” Biden declared.

So they’re going to Ukraine and some have already been there? Or where else is he talking where they would be sent with people standing in front of tanks? Big problem. Biden has previously said he would not be sending any troops to Ukraine because it could set off World War III.

Andrew Feinberg of the Independent caught Biden’s comments and asked the White House what was going on. He didn’t include the “some of you have already been there” comment that the video captures.

The White House tried to clean it up, claiming he had been clear that we were not sending troops.

Then why did he say what he said? Biden is anything but clear. He’s just a mess. And what is he talking about with the “Some of you have already been there” comment? Did Joe reveal something he shouldn’t have? Or is he just being a mess yet again? He had loose lips yesterday when he leaked he would be visiting Ukrainian refugees at the border and someplace else. That endangers his safety

Now you know Russia is going to interpret his comments as us having troops in Ukraine and that’s not a good thing if you’re trying not to kick off World War III. So once again, Joe has stuck his foot in it big time but in an extremely dangerous way.

This is what you get when a senile clabberhead takes office and it’s simply impossible for his handlers to keep him hidden away: contradictory chaos.

Biden press conference gives Putin less than nothing to fear.

President Joe Biden didn’t make a lot of news with his press conference after sitting down with NATO leaders Thursday, and what he did make was confusing at best, and fundamentally discouraging.

That came in answer to a question about what NATO would do if Vladimir Putin uses chemical weapons in Ukraine, as Biden warned before going to Europe seems to be a real possibility.

“It would trigger a response in kind,” the prez said. Huh? Unless someone’s hiding them, no NATO power has chemical weapons. At best, this seems to mean some serious destructive action against Russia’s forces in Ukraine.

But maybe not, since Biden then added that NATO would decide what to do “at the time.”

Meaning: They haven’t worked it out ahead of time, and will wait ’til it happens to start figuring it out.

NATO has 30 members, some of them highly reluctant to confront Putin; if they all have to agree on a response, it’ll take days if not weeks. Some countries may well demand more proof.

This is the very opposite of what we’ve called for — namely, for Biden to publicly identify in advance a specific US (at least) hard-power response to Putin’s use of chems (or other weapons of mass destruction).

Vague threats aren’t enough, and the suggestion that we’ll negotiate the response with 2½ dozen other countries after Putin strikes makes it not a threat at all.

This is even worse than Biden’s pre-invasion comment that the West might not do anything if Putin merely grabbed a few pieces of Ukraine.

The other notable part of the presser was Biden’s heated insistence that he’d never said the threat of sanctions was meant to deter Putin from invading in the first place.

This is Joe Biden: reversing himself and pretending angrily that it never happened. Why should Putin believe any of his threats?

Someone get the president a war-time consigliere.

Don’t ask me, I’m not a biologist

BLUF:
Jackson’s hearings are over, but the exchange will resonate. The issue of wokeism is becoming a bigger and bigger deal for Republican voters, and the fact that President Joe Biden’s nominee would not answer Blackburn’s straightforward questions will be difficult for Democrats to defend in this year’s midterm elections.

Democrats, Judge Jackson, and the ‘woman’ problem

DEMOCRATS, JUDGE JACKSON, AND THE ‘WOMAN’ PROBLEM. The important thing to remember about the now-infamous “define ‘woman'” exchange between Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson is that Blackburn telegraphed her pitch. It wasn’t a gotcha question. It didn’t come out of nowhere. No one should have been surprised.

On the opening day of Jackson’s hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee, a day mostly devoted to senators giving their opening statements, the Tennessee Republican told Jackson the topics that she, Blackburn, would question Jackson about the next day. “I’ve got a few areas that I’m going to want to delve a little bit further with you,” Blackburn said. “Right now, when I talk to Tennesseans, one of the most important things that they bring up is the issue of parental rights, and wanting to be able to rear their children as they see fit.”

Blackburn said parents are concerned about a “progressive agenda” in public schools. “Educators are allowing biological males to steal opportunities from female athletes in the name of progressivism,” she said. “Some girls have been forced to share locker rooms with biological males. Rather than defending our girls, those in power are teaching them that their voices don’t matter. They’re being treated like second-class citizens, and Americans need a Supreme Court justice who will protect our children and will defend parents’ constitutional right to decide what is best for their own kids.”

That’s what Blackburn said on Day One of the hearings. So it should have been a surprise to no one that she raised the topic when it came her time to question Jackson on Day Two. Blackburn brought up a case called United States v. Virginia, in which the U.S. government sued Virginia over the Virginia Military Institute’s male-only admissions policy. The Supreme Court struck down the policy in a 7-1 vote, and Blackburn quoted from the majority opinion written by liberal icon Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“Supposed ‘inherent differences’ are no longer accepted as a ground for race or national origin classifications,” Ginsburg wrote. “Physical differences between men and women, however, are enduring: ‘The two sexes are not fungible; a community made up exclusively of one sex is different from a community composed of both.'” Those were Ginsburg’s words that Blackburn quoted. She then asked Jackson, “Do you agree with Justice Ginsburg that there are physical differences between men and women that are enduring?”

Blackburn’s question was fair, on point, and, given her opening remarks the day before, entirely predictable. But Jackson was not prepared.

Where does Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson stand on the Second Amendment?

…it seems Judge Jackson’s opinions got clarified just a bit.

See, she had me right up until those last three words.

To be fair, the Heller decision actually did revolve around the right for self-defense in the home–the decision overturned a law that required guns kept in the home to be rendered useless for self-defense–but that doesn’t make those words somehow more comforting.

So she’s not exactly wrong.

The good news is that this wasn’t necessarily a reflection of her own views on the Second Amendment. That doesn’t make me any more comfortable with those three words, mind you, but they’re not inaccurate.

Unfortunately, that’s just about all we have. She was asked about NYSRPA v. Bruen, which she declined to answer, and that’s been pretty much it.

Why?

It’s possible that with the current makeup of the Court they’re not overly worried about where a liberal justice may land on the issue, figuring her opinion will be largely irrelevant in such a case. I’m not sure I’d actually trust that, but who knows?

Either way, as her confirmation continues, I expect we’ll hear a whole lot of strange continue to come out of the hearings. My hope is that we’ll get something more substantive on the issue of the Second Amendment as the current makeup isn’t likely to be eternal.

While I don’t really see Jackson not being confirmed, we’d still do well to vet her on issues like the Second Amendment beyond just a cursory passthrough of the subject. As it stands now, we really don’t know a whole lot about her views on whether the Second Amendment is up for restriction and, if so, how much or why it’s worthy of restrictions we’d never tolerate on another constitutionally protected right.

I expect better out of our Senators.

BLUF:
Nobody’s trying to save Ukraine by taking their guns away. Quite the opposite, in fact. No one is trying to stop Russian aggression by trying to ban tanks and bombs. And to be honest, Ukraine’s allies haven’t been able to actually stop the atrocities being committed by Russian forces, even with the images of dead and wounded children on our smartphones and computer screens, which makes Graham’s idea even more disturbingly awful.

If Graham actually meant what she said, she wouldn’t be directing her ire and outrage at guns, gun makers, or gun owners. She’d be demanding sanctions and consequences for those responsible for atrocities on American streets; the ones who are actually pulling the trigger.

Columnist compares U.S. guns to Putin

Gun control activists are desperate to find some way to use Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to bolster their attacks on our Second Amendment rights, but Boston Globe columnist Renee Graham’s latest column is a bizarre new low. Her contribution to the gun control debate? The media should start showing more dead bodies, because that will convince politicians to take action, just as they’ve done since the images of slain Ukrainians and dead Russian soldiers have started appearing on our social media feeds.

Disclaimers about graphic or disturbing content are standard, but many Ukrainians have been adamant — they do not want journalists to shield what Putin’s war is inflicting on their sovereign nation and its residents.

“We know the enemy. In the end, the world must see and hear this,” a Ukrainian soldier told a CNN reporter after he was injured when his barracks were struck by a Russian missile. “I don’t know. How many deaths will it take for everyone to see?”

In his lament, I heard the echo of so many in this nation tired of relentless gun violence and elected officials unwilling to do anything about it. Would their collective hand finally be forced to action if the media were flooded with graphic images of the toll of America’s addiction to guns?

Here’s the first problem with Graham’s argument: that Ukrainian soldier isn’t blaming the deaths of his countrymen on arms makers or equipment used by the invading Russian army. He’s blaming the individual responsible for sending Russian troops across the border in an attempt to turn Ukraine into a vassal state of a reconstituted Russian empire.

Graham, on the other hand, never once mentions the people who are perpetrating violent crime in Boston or any other American city. Her focus is entirely and exclusively on guns.

The authors call the 2nd amendment “dangerous”, a violation of international law, and say right to carry laws cause “assassinations”

Dad calls people like this: ‘overeducated idiots’.

The SCOTUS decisions in the Heller, McDonald & Caetano cases show these ‘academics’ to be precisely that.

Can States Block or Heavily Restrict the Second Amendment Constitutional Right by Following the Design of Texas Bill 8?

Abstract

The second amendment regarding the right to bear arms is regarded as one of the most problematic provisions in the US Constitution. Despite its historical roots, “bearing” arms for personal self-defense might no longer be suitable for the 21st century in light of recent jurisprudence and sociology findings. Freedom and autonomy are the foundation upon which the bill of rights was drafted. The bill of rights offers protection for individuals against state interference by granting them, inter alia, the right to bear arms for self-defense, right against self-incrimination, and due process rights. Nonetheless, the Texas Senate Bill 8 was passed to limit the Roe v. Wade right to abortion only to the first six weeks of pregnancy – essentially obliterating Roe v. Wade. The Texas Senate Bill 8 design allowed it to withstand the initial consideration by the US Supreme Court. In this research we ask three interrelated questions. First, does the Second Amendment right constitute an afront to International Law’s right to life under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (“UDHR”) and the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights (“ICCPR”)? If yes, can states adopt a design similar to Texas Bill 8 to ban or extensively regulate the second amendment right? Finally, what are the intrinsic differences between the right to bearing arms and the right to abortion? If they are intrinsically different, this research calls for examining each of them under a different scrutiny standard. In order to answer the last question, we assess two landmark cases regarding abortion and right to bear arms currently pending before the US Supreme Court, in an attempt to predict the future of those rights.

“So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time…there is such great significance to the passage of time.”

Kamala Harris has thoughts. Deep thoughts.

“The significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time…there is such great significance to the passage of time.”
