Kamala Harris promises freedom in her campaign, but American liberty is at risk
Kamala Harris is attempting to rewrite her big-government record and test the power of a fawning media to convince Americans not to believe their lying eyes.
Kamala Harris has adopted “freedom” as a campaign anthem, proclaiming in her first campaign ad: “We choose freedom.”
This may be a new low for campaign propaganda and gaslighting.
Freedom from what—thinking and making choices for yourself? Is she providing the freedom to have the government decide for you?
At every turn, the Biden-Harris Administration has pushed not only a centrally planned economy and federal-government hegemony, but the most aggressive imposition of left-wing philosophy and secular-progressive values in American history.
Its hallmark has been Democrats’ elites-know-best attitude in which ordinary Americans can’t be trusted to raise their children, make medical judgments, discern the truth, or pursue their own version of the American Dream.
Can’t you hear the freedom ringing?
Democrats promise ‘cradle-to-grave, big government dependency’
After the Biden Administration imposed mask mandates, discharged American servicemembers reluctant to comply with Biden vaccine mandates, persecuted parents as “domestic terrorists” who dared question the wisdom of multi-year school closures that set their children back, Harris’s celebration of “freedom” is as Orwellian as her self-portrayal as tough on crime in the face of her “defund the police” and bail-for-rioters antics.
Does Harris mean freedom from any chance of achieving the American Dream?
The Biden-Harris approach to the economy is summed up by its “Build Back Better” proposal to transform America, which it marketed using a cartoon depicting a mother and son—and the government programs on which they would depend under this plan, from the very beginning of their lives to the very end.
It was the definition of cradle-to-grave, big-government dependency, from federalized preschool and childcare where the state has the necessary control to indoctrinate your children to Green New Deal mandates that would replace good-paying private-sector jobs with the Civilian Climate Corps, a taxpayer-funded climate police, and an array of new big-government welfare programs.
Contrary to the hype, many Americans are struggling
Try starting or growing a business while facing nearly $1.5-trillion-worth of new Biden-Harris regulations, according to the U.S. House Budget Committee.
Better yet, just try making ends meet—regulations now cost the average American household at least $15,788 per year, which is more than we spend on health care, food, transportation, entertainment, or clothes, according to the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
To boot, under the Biden-Harris Administration, prices are up 20% — 22% for food and 41% for energy — and real wages are down 4%.
As a result, under Biden and Harris, Americans are much less free to pursue the American Dream—and the liberating upward mobility it promises. And looking ahead, if this Administration gets another four-year bite at the American apple in November, they promise to take even more of Americans’ hard-earned paychecks via their $7 trillion tax increases.
Democrats are hostile to cryptocurrency industry
What kind of jobs is the Biden-Harris Administration creating? Government jobs and government-oriented jobs, of course.
Maybe Harris means freedom from freedom of speech or from the right of self-defense?
Constitutional rights are under siege, whether it’s the Biden-Harris Administration using Big Tech to curtail Americans’ First Amendment rights or seeking to limit Americans’ Second Amendment right to defend their families, even as her failures at our southern border and anti-police rhetoric have made America an increasingly dangerous country.
When it comes to innovative, freedom-promoting new industries like cryptocurrency, the Biden-Harris Administration has fought to constrain their development at every turn. Election-season “pivots” aside, Gary Gensler still runs the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, still calls the shots in the war against this innovative industry that Harris has abetted with every radical nominee and regulation she has supported.
States should be able to decide their laws not the federal government
Maybe Harris means freedom from the obligation of deciding who should be president, as her administration seeks to convict her campaign opponent before the election?
It fits with denying primary voters the opportunity to democratically choose their nominee. Perhaps she means freedom from the American constitutional system, as she proposes court packing in 2025 by removing certain Supreme Court justices who won’t bow to her political agenda?
Perhaps the Harris campaign is referring to the freedom of federal-government-mandated unlimited abortion until birth. Yet President Trump is proposing to give each state’s voters the freedom to set their own policy. Utah doesn’t want California’s law, and vice versa, and that’s okay.
Local autonomy and flexibility will provide the space for consensus on a divisive issue.
Kamala Harris is attempting to rewrite her big-government record and test the power of a fawning media to convince Americans not to believe their lying eyes. Americans should ask themselves: If the basic foundation of Harris’s campaign is a complete fabrication, then what else are they lying about?
If this election is about true American-style freedom, Donald Trump is the only choice.
