  1. I can’t help but think “skeet for pirates”. I’d hate to be the guy hanging in midair approaching a ship full of armed men. Am trying to think of a practical use for this, but am coming up dry. Unless they manage to knock out the bad guys and need to land someone on board who can get the ship under control.

  2. I guess if you swarm a target with dozens of troops at a time, you’ll eventually get through enough to secure the objective.

When you’ve got an R&D budget to spend, and the general rule in goobermint is that if you don’t spend it this year, you won’t get it next year, … you end up with a “It briefed well.

    1. Give them a rich enough target environment that they can’t shoot them all. Shades of the War of Northern Aggression and The Great War to End All Wars combined. :-O

And yep, spend it or lose it wins again. I still wouldn’t want to be the guy floating through the air into range of a hostile crew on the high seas, even if there WERE another couple hundred with me. Still, it looks like fun from a recreational standpoint where no one’s trying to swat you out of the air.
