U.S. Cities Sue Federal Government Over Untraceable ‘Ghost Guns’

Syracuse, San Jose, Chicago, and Columbia, SC and Everytown ( a Bloomberg Front Organization) apparently think that they can somehow force Uncle to call a hunk of metal a firearm.
Yeah.
This is about trying to control the “80%” AR & Glock receivers we see for sale, that, except for some state laws, are completely unrestricted because they-are-not-guns.
Bloombutt can’t abide this sort of uppity ingeniousness from the serfs and want’s ATF to determine that they are guns. I wonder if he’d go into vapor lock if he knew that you can go to any well stocked hardware store and walk out with the stuff to make your own -legal- gas pipe shotguns and even -illegal – machineguns that take not much if any more effort than finishing out one of those 80% receivers.

Notwithstanding that statutory language, Defendants have declined to regulate unfinished ghost gun frames and receivers as “firearms,” even though they are designed to be and may be readily converted into operable weapons.2

Wisconsin Governor Calls in National Guard following Rioting Sparked by Police Shooting of Black Man

Wisconsin governor Tony Evers ordered 125 National Guard members to the city of Kenosha on Monday, following riots that erupted after police shot a black man while responding to a domestic violence call on Sunday.

The guard members will be charged with “guarding infrastructure and making sure our firefighters and others involved are protected,” Evers told reporters.

Video of the incident showed police shooting Jacob Blake in the back while responding to the call, and drew immediate condemnation from Evers. Full details of the incident have not yet been released.

At a press conference on Monday, Kenosha mayor John Antaramian and various community representatives called for all demonstrations to be peaceful.

“When moments like this come, we have to come together to make it better,” Tim Mahone, a board member of the philanthropic Mahone Foundation based in Kenosha, said through tears. “Please don’t destroy our community.”

“Things have been very heated, tons of damage to cop cars, an officer was actually knocked out,” an observer told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Bloomberg Wants to Buy Your Right to Bear Arms

Michael Bloomberg failed to win much Democratic support in his expensive quest (spending an estimated $1 billion of his personal fortune) to secure the 2020 nomination for president, but the former New York City mayor is continuing to push his unrelenting gun-control agenda with lots of money.

He has plenty of it, and has no problem using it in an attempt to buy peoples’ freedom.

On Monday, Bloomberg confirmed that he is going to spend $60 million of his own money—a drop in the pan for a man worth in surplus of $50 billion by some estimates, but unfathomable funds to us commoners—to aid Democrat candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives across the country who would vote to restrict our right to keep and bear arms.

Biden’s Anti-Gun Agenda Would Turn Right into Privilege

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden has plans for the constitutionally enumerated right to keep and bear arms: If elected in November, his intention is to turn the Second Amendment into a heavily-regulated government privilege, say critics, and it’s spelled out at his website.

Remarkably, Biden made no reference to his plan during his acceptance speech; a cornerstone of his campaign, yet he avoided it like exposure to COVID-19. Only his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, referenced his leadership role in passing the 1993 ban on so-called “assault weapons” during the Clinton administration, as part of her acceptance speech.

Otherwise, both Democrat challengers steered clear of gun control.

Democrat Party Platform: Ban Online Ammo Sales, License All Gun Owners

The 2020 Democrat Party platform is rife with gun controls that include an all-out ban on online ammunition sales and a push to require every state in the Union to license gun owners.

The 2020 platform also continues a pledge to secure universal background checks, which have existed in California since the 1990s and are currently in place in New York, New Jersey, and other states rife with gun violence.

Gabby Giffords’s gun control law center reports 13 states in total have such checks.

The Democrat’s platform also pledges a ban on online gun sales and efforts to prohibit “some individuals convicted of assault or battery to buy and possess firearms.” Additionally, Democrats will “ban the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high capacity magazines” and “pass legislation requiring that guns be safely stored in homes.”

The platform also makes clear Democrats want to open gun makers up to lawsuits by “repealing the law that shields gun manufacturers from civil liability.” This is a reference to the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (2005), which was put in place to protect gun makers from frivolous lawsuits in instances where the guns in question were legally made and legally sold.

Joe Biden has long campaigned on repealing the PLCAA and opening gun makers up to lawsuits.

On February 24, 2020, Breitbart News reported Biden speaking in South Carolina, referencing gun makers and saying, “I’m going to take you down.”

Arrest warrant issued for head of Virginia Senate, 13 others in monument attack that resulted in critical injury

Virginia State Sen. Louise Lucas (D), who serves as Senate Pro Tempore, has been charged with felony conspiracy and other charges in an incident where she, along with other conspirators, allegedly damaged a Confederate statue in Portsmouth that also resulted in serious injuries to a protester.

“Sen. Louise Lucas faces charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and injury to a monument in excess of $1,000, Portsmouth Virginia Police Chief Angela Greene said during a news conference,” says Politico.

The protester, Chris Green, was critically injured at the scene and is currently under care at a rehabilitation center with permanent injuries. The incident happened in June.

“Greene said the independent investigation started after several requests were made to look into the circumstances that led to the destruction of the monument and Green’s injury,” reports 13NewsNow………..

Former CIA officer charged with spying for China.

A 15-year veteran of the CIA was charged Monday with selling U.S. secrets to China then unwittingly admitting his spying to the FBI.

The method prosecutors said they used to get him to reveal the nature of his espionage was worthy of a spy novel itself.

Court documents said 67-year-old Alexander Yuk Ching Ma of Honolulu was charged with violating U.S. espionage laws. Prosecutors said he joined the CIA in 1967 then served as a CIA officer until he retired from the agency in 1989. For part of that time he was assigned to work overseas in the East-Asia and Pacific region.

Twelve years after he retired, prosecutors said Monday that Ma met with at least five officers of China’s Ministry of State Security in a Hong Kong hotel room, where he “disclosed a substantial amount of highly classified national defense information,” including facts about the CIA’s internal organization, methods for communicating covertly, and the identities of CIA officers and human assets. Iran paid bounties for targeting US troops, intelligence reportedly suggests

A Pentagon briefing document said a foreign government paid the Haqqani network, led by a top Taliban leader, to attack Bagram Air Base last December, CNN reported. While the government in question is classified in the memo, two sources familiar with the intelligence told the network it was in reference to Iran.

Four U.S. personnel and more than 75 others were injured in the Bagram attack, which occurred less than a month before the U.S. killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, in a drone strike in Baghdad. Today’s self-purifiers, arms outstretched in supine submission, who then countenance violence against persons, property, and cultural symbols, are mostly unwitting protagonists in yet another chapter of a hoary history.

Although Judeo-Christianity teaches that perfection is not of this world, nevertheless the Old Testament (see the Book of Daniel) and the New (Revelation, chapter 20) refer tangentially to a final state in human affairs in which all evil will have been defeated and the virtuous will have triumphed over their enemies. In the Book of Revelation, this final stage is to last for a thousand years. Jesus Christ’s warnings notwithstanding, people have hearkened periodically to “false prophets” who brandish the prospect of ultimate vengeance over evil. Between the 11th and 16th centuries, any number of movements of this sort used ritual confessions to cleanse themselves, and energized the mobs that waged Europe’s bloodiest wars of that age. Thereafter, though such movements secularized their terms, they fit into the same moral and intellectual categories. Kamala Harris Lies Repeatedly in First Speech as Biden’s Running Mate

In her first speech since Joe Biden selected her as his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris told multiple lies. To wit:

“The president’s mismanagement of the pandemic has plunged us into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,” Harris said.

False. The pandemic and its associated lockdowns, not the president, are responsible for the economic contraction. Donald Trump is not the president of the euro zone, which suffered through an even more dire economic contraction in the second quarter: minus 40.3 percent, on an annualized basis, as against minus 32.9 percent in the US. The U.K. suffered a contraction of 59.8 percent, also on an annualized basis. Donald Trump is not the prime minister of the United Kingdom. The U.S. economy did slightly better than Germany’s in the second quarter. And it’s questionable to compare the current crisis to the Great Depression, which was not only deep but lasted more than a decade. The U.S. added 1.8 million jobs in July and Goldman Sachs predicts 25 percent (annualized) GDP growth in the current third quarter, which would mark an end to the U.S. recession after two quarters.

“Just look where [Trump and Mike Pence] have gotten us. . . . Millions of kids who cannot go back to school,” Harris said.

Wrong. It is not Donald Trump’s decision whether kids go back to school, because the federal government does not run schools, but he has urged the schools to reopen. The primary reason kids cannot go back to school is opposition from teachers’ unions. The second-largest teachers’ union is threatening to strike if schools reopen.

“Six years ago, in fact, we had a different health crisis,” Harris said. “It was called Ebola. We all remember that pandemic.”

Incorrect. Ebola was an outbreak, not a pandemic, according to the World Health Organization.

“This virus has impacted almost every country,” Harris said. “But there’s a reason it has hit America worse than any other advanced nation. It’s because of Trump’s failure to take it seriously.”

Wrong. Several advanced nations have suffered more fatalities per million population than the U.S.: Belgium, the U.K., Spain, Italy, Sweden. Donald Trump is not in charge of any of these countries.

BIG LEAGUE GUNSFLASHBACK: Kamala Harris Called Mandatory Gun “Buyback” Confiscation A “Good Idea”

During her failed campaign for the presidency, California Senator and newly minted Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared to endorse Beto O’Rourke-style gun confiscation. Harris called the notion of mandatory “buyback” gun confiscations a “good idea” in an interview with Bloomberg News, following the lead of another Democratic contender, Beto O’Rourke.

Harris, who endorsed the policy when speaking after a campaign event in New Hampshire, qualified that additional details had to be resolved to enact mandatory buybacks, but made it clear she expressly supports the notion of mandatory confiscation buybacks

“I think it’s a good idea… We have to work out the details — there are a lot of details — but I do,” responded Harris when asked about her potential support for Beto O’Rourke’s aggressive gun seizure agenda. “We have to take those guns off the streets,” she said of the millions of legally owned semiautomatic firearms in civilian hands.

Harris’ entry into the Democratic ticket possibly signals Joe Biden’s most cogent embrace of the gun confiscation policies long favored by the neoliberal extremist element of the Democratic Party, which go a step further than most liberal gun control policies in actively mandating that law-abiding patriots who own so-called “assault weapons” surrender their guns to the government.

Biden has previously stated that he plans on appointing Beto O’Rourke to “take care of the gun problem” in his administration when he’s office. He appears primed to surround himself with the most draconian anti-gun confiscation enthusiasts as President.

Benghazi liar and former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice has seemingly risen to the top of Joe Biden’s VP list, which would make a unique pairing of someone who can’t tell the truth and someone who can’t remember the truth.

One of the chief unmaskers of Trump officials caught up in deep state surveillance of the 2016 Trump campaign and an architect of the attempted coup against Trump, Rice recently lied again by pushing the false claim that Trump ignored reports of Russian bounties for the killing of U.S. troops in Afghanistan and was doing Putin’s bidding by callously letting American soldiers get killed. As reported by Axios:

Former national security adviser Susan Rice says President Trump sided with Russian President Vladimir Putin following news that Russia allegedly offered bounties for those who targeted American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Rice said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday:

“And now we learn that even when it comes to the blood of American service members, this president picks Putin over our troops.”

This was, as Trump says, fake news. The Russians have little money to throw around and the Taliban is trying to kill our troops anyway, for free, troops Trump is bringing home. Yet the woman who went on five talk shows to spread the lie that an Internet video got four Americans killed, including a U.S. Ambassador, at a Benghazi compound that Obama/Biden/Rice left unprotected, has the chutzpah to express concern about the safety of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Of course, she has said that she wants to see Joe Biden elected and would willingly be his VP. She would be Biden’s Rasputin, pulling his strings, completing the fundamental transformation of America begun by Obama. So she ignores Biden’s culpability for Benghazi, as she ignores her own, and ignores Biden’s key role in getting Navy Seal Team 6, the unit that killed Bin Laden, slaughtered in a revenge ambush in Afghanistan. No Doubt About It: Democrats Are Part Of The Riot Problem

Qui tacet consentire videtur is the Latin phrase that means he who remains silent appears to consent. The Democrats’ silence when asked to condemn Antifa violence is coming through louder than a deranged Joe Biden outburst on the campaign trail.

New York Democrat Jerry Nadler didn’t hit the mute button when he absurdly claimed Antifa was “imaginary,” then later said its role in the Portland riots was a “myth that’s being spread only in Washington D.C.”

But the congressman set the tone for his party.

During Tuesday’s Senate hearing – titled The Right of the People Peaceably to Assemble: Protecting Speech by Stopping Anarchist Violence – Democrats had a wide open opportunity to state their position. Instead, they went quiet.

Top Democrats contemplate civil war if Biden loses
Yet the media still only talks about Trump not accepting the result.

The chattering caste of Washington DC has spent much of the summer obsessed with the idea that Donald Trump will refuse to leave office if he loses in November, as Cockburn has already noted.

This perennial topic was silly enough when it was restricted to Nancy Pelosi making awkward assertions on cable television. But in the last two weeks, like QAnon, the fantasy has become substantially more elaborate, and less healthy. Numerous outlets, led by the Boston Globe, have showered attention on an endeavor calling itself the ‘Transition Integrity Project.’ The project brought together…well, not exactly big names in American politics, but certainly many people who would like to think they are big names: former Scott Walker aide Liz Mair, ex-Bush speechwriter David Frum, former DNC chair Donna Brazile, and so forth. Once assembled, these sort-of-distinguished personages played out simulations (‘games’) of four possible 2020 election outcomes: a large Biden win, a narrow Biden win, a narrow Trump win (while losing the popular vote), and an election with no real clear winner at all.

The headlines, and the Transition Integrity Project, all emphasized that the simulations showed the threat posed to democracy by the Apricot Adolf.

‘We…assess that President Trump is likely to contest the result by both legal and extra-legal means, in an attempt to hold onto power,’ the project’s final report says.

But Cockburn has a quibble. Though labeled ‘bipartisan’, the simulation seems to be entirely the work of Democrats alongside anti-Trump Republicans. Nobody actually allied with the President appears to have played a role in the simulations. Cockburn isn’t always the smartest but, saying that President Trump is ‘likely’ to contest an election result, simply because his enemies think he wants to, doesn’t strike him as very newsworthy.

Far more interesting, and totally unnoticed, is the behavior of former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. Podesta also took part in the simulations, and unlike the anti-Trump Republicans, he wasn’t pretending to be someone he hates. Instead, organizers did the sensible thing: they had an anti-Trump Democrat portray an anti-Trump Democrat. Because the simulation designers apparently wanted to torment him as much as possible, Podesta had to endure an exact 2016 repeat: he played Joe Biden in a simulation where Trump loses the popular vote but wins a close but convincing victory in the Electoral College.

Buried at the bottom of a New York Times article, the paper describes what Podesta did:

‘Mr Podesta, playing Mr Biden, shocked the organizers by saying he felt his party wouldn’t let him concede. Alleging voter suppression, he persuaded the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to send pro-Biden electors to the Electoral College.

‘In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr Trump took office as planned.’

This was so astonishing that Cockburn’s monocle nearly popped off reading it — and he doesn’t even wear one. The actual text of the final report is even more jarring. According to a summary of the game, while acting as Biden — rather than accept defeat — Podesta actively instigated secession, and then issued an ultimatum: Trump could only begin his second term if Puerto Rico and DC became states, California was cut into five pieces, and the Electoral College was abolished. When the ultimatum was refused, Podesta got the Democratic House (played by other Democrats) to declare Biden the president, and then watched to see how the military would react.
