Gunwerks Unveils Its Skunkwerks Lite SabR Compact Rifle

Gunwerks Lite SabR

The Lite SabR features a barrel with integral suppressor baffles. A titanium barrel sleeve fits over it.

The Gunwerks Lite SabR is here. The company has introduced this lightweight, compact, hard-hitting bolt-action rifle as part of its Skunkwerks line of limited run of long-range shooters. This rifle features an integrally suppressed barrel and folding stock. It’s chambered in .338 Ruger Compact Magnum (RCM).

The Gunwerks Lite SabR features a titanium GLR action fitted to XLR Industries magnesium machined chassis with ARCA rail.

It has a titanium 3D-printed grip and a titanium barrel sleeve. The folding stock is composed primarily of carbon fiber. The rifle tips the scales at about seven pounds even, 8.5 pounds with optic mounted.

The Lite Sabr measures 42 inches in overall length. But with the stock folded, it’s just 33 inches long and much easier to strap to a pack or stow in a vehicle than other suppressed rifles that might measure a foot longer.

The integrally suppressed barrel from Suppressed Weapon Systems is incredibly unique. Baffles and expansion chambers have been machined into the barrel itself to provide the internal baffle structure of the suppressor……….

The Gunwerks Lite SabR is chambered for the .338 RCM cartridge. Out of the Lite SabR’s short, suppressed barrel, you can expect muzzle velocities of around 2,500 feet per second, firing a 225-grain bullet. That’s enough power to take down anything you’re going to hunt.
