What Did She Say? Here’s the Braindead Remarks DC Offered About the Latest Fatal Carjacking in the City

What did DC Mayor Muriel Bowser just say? I had to do a double-take. The recent carjacking in Washington DC that left a man dead was…not intentional. The killing wasn’t on purpose. That’s the line here? It doesn’t matter, Bowser. It really doesn’t. You can still be charged and sent to jail for accidentally killing people. What reality are Democrats living in here? Soft on crime has rotten the Left’s brains where they think if a crime was committed by accident, then it’s not a crime. Nope. It’s a crime. In the real world with real people and real laws, committing a crime is bad and people get sent to jail for it. At times, probation and penalties are involved. In severe cases, the state puts the perpetrator to death. This is not deep stuff, mayor.

Here’s the backstory that prompted this heinous remark from the mayor (via Fox5DC): MedStar doctor is dead after police say he was struck and killed by his own vehicle that had just been stolen from him in Northwest D.C. That MedStar Doctor has been identified as 33-year-old Rakesh Patel, of Silver Spring. His parents drove from Ohio to identify his body.

The incident began a little after 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Vernon Street NW. Officers say Patel’s vehicle was left running in that area. A close friend of the victim’s girlfriend, Kristine Froeba, told FOX 5 Patel went to drop off something to his girlfriend that night. The two were hugging goodbye when Froeba said the couple saw Patel’s vehicle start to move.

Police say an unknown suspect entered the Mercedes and drove off east on Vernon St. Patel apparently pursued his stolen car.

He “probably didn’t intend to kill anybody,” Bowser said regarding the incident.

How have we come to this? Mayor, this may be hard for a liberal Democrat like yourself to understand, but criminals are bad people. This car thief is a murderer. He should be sent away for a long time if caught. How is this hard? He didn’t mean to kill anyone. That is beyond irrelevant in this case. He stole a car and killed someone. This person is criminal trash. End of story.

There’s this addiction among liberals that seeks to refrain from calling criminals out for who they are in society.

Yeah, another overeducated moron who majored in ‘journalism’.
He’s stupid, doesn’t know he’s stupid, and will never accept that he’s stupid because all of his education indoctrination from the mid 80s onward has been to produce stupid people who can’t actually think, but simply believe the proggie propaganda they’ve had poured into their heads since they were children.

The Blob Wants a War.

Well, there it is. Over at Politico we have an open letter calling for a limited no-fly zone.

This letter is signed by people who should know better. I would put the substance somewhere in the wtf grid bounded by “irresponsible” & “insulting.”

Too many people have misremembered both recent and longer-term history. We are talking about Russia here. Not Serbia. Not Libya. Not Iraq.

Let us be clear on this point; a No Fly Zone (NFZ) requires you shoot down aircraft over a specified area. Over Ukraine, what this letter calls for is for us to shoot down Russian aircraft. It says “NATO” but as anyone who served in Afghanistan knows, this will mean the USA, and possibly the United Kingdom with an assist from Denmark and Poland, maybe.

That is asking for war. You don’t want a wider European war. No sane person does.

These people do, but they are not being honest about it.

If you want a war, ask for it. Assuming that everyone will either be silent or stupid, instead the authors decided to be too clever by half to the rubes while winking at their peers who know exactly what they are doing. Not unlike the build up to the Iraq invasion of 2003, I’m not sure that they believe their own distortions, or simply that they are not as good as they tell everyone they are. I’m beginning to think both.

Someone in this group must know where a NFZ would lead. Once everything blows up – which it may NFZ or not – a note from this crowd of, “Oh, no, we never expected this escalation…” won’t wash at the moment & damn sure won’t wash on the 1st through last draft of history.

I’m sorry, I don’t trust them. After you read the letter, if you still do, I can’t help you.

This is such a grabasstic horror show, we’re going to fisk it.

Let’s go:

No. I say stupidity. Ignorance can be fixed. Stupid can’t

Ignorance and Elitism Go Hand in Hand

When you become very wealthy it’s hard to remain attached to the struggles of those who make far less, but it’s not impossible. Sometimes a healthy dose of what it’s like on the ground floor can keep you humble and allow you to appreciate the life you have. Not doing so can cause the feeling of elitism to build up in your mind, and as a result, you become ignorant of the world and its struggles.

You become a bit like “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert who rattled off one of the more elitist things you’ve heard this year…so far.

Speaking on the rising gas prices, Colbert took the Biden administration’s route to make people okay with their mishandling of the economy and the energy crisis and appealed to people’s sense of patriotism, something they mock whenever it’s convenient to them.

“Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4 per gallon. Okay, that stings, but a clear conscience is worth a buck or two,” said Colbert.

“I’m willing to pay. I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla,” he quipped.

“Take that, Putin! We’re not gonna buy our gas from a war criminal,” he continued. “We’re gonna buy it from the good guys, Saudi Arabia!”

Many people are focusing on the $15 joke, but in my eyes, it’s not the issue. It is, after all, a joke. Colbert’s just a bad comedian so it wasn’t that funny.

The issue is primarily with what he said before it: “A clear conscience is worth a buck or two.”

Colbert’s referring to the Biden administration stopping the purchasing of oil from Russia, which was a whopping 500,000 barrels a day. The only issue with this is that Biden’s plan to make up for the missing oil is to purchase from other entities who aren’t exactly our friends and may give us trouble at another point in time with the money they make from us.

Just more confirmation of SloJoe’s senile dementia

Comment O’ The Day
“Trump would be crucified. Instead nothing.
The media/journalism is dead. Just all propaganda at this point.”

Joe Biden Rips off an Oddly Racist Statement, Leaves Onlookers Completely Perplexed

While Americans suffer under extreme gas prices and Ukraine continues to be invaded by Russia, Joe Biden is ripping off oddly racist statements, leaving onlookers completely perplexed. Honestly, I’m not sure I have 500 words of analysis on this, but this is just too insane not to share.

On Tuesday, Biden flew to Forth Worth, TX, along with the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, to visit a VA hospital and deliver remarks. According to his schedule, the trip was made to discuss the exposure of veterans to environmental hazards such as burn pits. That has become a pet issue for the president ever since he began to (without evidence) connect it to his late son developing cancer years later.

As Biden was speaking, this happened.

I have no idea what I just watched nor what Biden’s point was. I realize the clip is edited, and perhaps there’s more context, but what context could possibly explain the president suggesting a congressman looks like a suicide bomber? That’s the most straightforward explanation for saying he looks like “he can bomb you,” right?

Still, you can expect the “fact-checkers” to jump into action here, attempting to read Biden’s mind as a way to explain away what he said. Did he actually mean “He looks like he can hit a bomb off you,” as in hitting a home run? I have no idea, and neither does any fact-checker that is going to inevitably gnash their teeth over this article and others like it. Of note is that it is not my job to translate for this senile old man nor to make excuses for his complete inability to produce a sentient thought.

So whether he meant to say what he said or not, the senility is the point. Biden is a man who can’t even read a teleprompter properly, and he’s also a man who clearly has problems controlling what comes out of his mouth. It’s common for older men in decline to begin to lose their filters. We’ve seen multiple examples of that from the president over the last several years.

I’ll end with the obligatory “What if Trump had said this?” I’m pretty sure it would be a major story and eat up at least a week of the news cycle. But Biden being a quasi-racist geriatric is just par for the course, I suppose. The only mention you’ll see of his comment in the mainstream media will be from those trying to brush what he said under the rug.

CNN Panics as Almost Half the States Have Passed Constitutional Carry Laws.

“Law enforcement and their constituents and everybody united can help slow these policies now, but I also recognize that some of these states have been trying to do this over and over again and this may be the year, unfortunately, that they finally get it across the finish line,” [Everytown director of state affairs Monisha] Henley said.

[NRA spokesman Lars] Dalseide, the NRA spokesman, noted that permitless legislation does not allow known criminals to carry firearms, nor does it legalize the criminal use of firearms or allow individuals to carry firearms in localities where it is prohibited to do so.

“My concern is that as we support the second amendment, we get to a point here in our society that we’re ignoring the fact that it is not an individual freedom that is unlimited,” Sheriff [Charmaine] McGuffey said.

The senators who support constitutional carry “will never know the lives they saved if they go in opposition to the bill,” McGuffey added. “If they pass this bill, there is a great likelihood that they will come to know the lives that they didn’t save because those names will live in infamy and those situations will be reported to the public by the press.”

These People Are Desperate

The Guardian published an opinion piece on Sunday in which they stated
“…there is a danger that the battle for Ukraine may divert attention from the approaching climate change crisis.” Seriously?? There’s a war on, there are approaching a million refugees entering neighboring countries, and you’re worried that the war is a distraction? That is sheer desperation on the part of those who planned to pivot us all away from Wuflu and on to climate change. Then Putin, that bastid, stuck a monkey wrench in their plans and invaded Ukraine. The nerve!

In the U.S., John Kerry, the man who has a carbon footprint bigger than Godzilla and flies to Davos in a private plane, wants all of us to suck up high gas prices, ride the bus, and worry about how the war, the UNPROVOKED INVASION, of Ukraine by Russia, will set back the momentum on climate change. For real. The man is a walking billboard for “out-of-touch-elitist.”

But to really get a feel for this latest panic pivot on the left, let’s do a bit of a fisking of the Guardian article. Article in bold, my comments in italics.

What’s going on in Joe Biden’s mind?

I know; I know – the jokes write themselves.

Biden’s mind? What’s that?

But I continue to think that Biden has more input into all of this than most people believe. And of course, whether he does or doesn’t, the same question can be asked about “Biden’s” mind – that is, the mind or collective minds of those behind-the-scenes people who actually may be running the show.

It was glaringly obvious even while Biden was running for president that his plan was to end our energy independence. To me, that alone should have been enough to ensure that virtually no one would be voting for him, but of course I knew that wasn’t the case. Whether you believe that Biden won because of fraud or whether you think he won fair and square, there isn’t any doubt that a lot of people did vote for him. I certainly know plenty who did.

Why were the Democrats so intent on this obviously destructive path that would weaken the US and its economy, give more power to Putin and Russia, and actually do nothing for the environment (only changing the source from which we get fossil fuels rather than usage)? I believe that, for some of them, weakening the US was a feature rather than a bug. Great Reset and all that.

But for others – and I tend to think Biden was among them – the motives were these:

(1) Whatever Trump did, do the opposite. This was in part reflexive and in part spiteful.
(2) Whatever Obama did, do more of it and go that extra mile.
(3) Virtue-signal to your leftist base and give them what they want, or you will lose them.

Even now, with this Russia invasion of Ukraine, they’re not going to reverse direction.

For Biden, almost everything is political. He’s been in politics nearly his entire adult life, which has been a very long time. I don’t think he has many principles except winning and self-aggrandizement, and though history may not be kind to him he mostly looks at short-term gains. His judgment over the years has proven abominable except in the political sense of landing on his feet.

But now that Biden’s finally achieved his lifelong ambition of becoming president, his actions have a lot more consequences than they did when he was a mere senator. Too bad we all have to suffer as a consequence.

In addition, we are presently poised on the brink of a reportedly disastrous Iran deal. Why is that happening? The short and probably too-simplified answer is that it fulfills all three of the criteria I listed above. An additional answer is that some people in the Biden administration seem to want to do their best to hurt the US and the western world and empower our enemies, and that this isn’t motivated by stupidity but rather by malevolence.

She’s a leftist political hack  – seems the most hacks are leftists doesn’t it?- who will recite any point her paymaster wants.

Is This the Dumbest Claim Jen Psaki Has Ever Made?

Sometimes, I wonder about Jen Psaki. How did she get picked to be White House Press Secretary? How has she kept her job? Sometimes I can’t tell if she is deliberately lying to the American people or if she living in an alternate universe and actually believes the horse manure she’s shoveling.

Case in point: In response to a question about John Bolton’s bizarre speculation that Trump might have pulled the United States out of NATO in a second term, Psaki claimed that the American people are “grateful” for Biden’s different approach to foreign relations.

“Well, I think that’s […] you know, another reason why the American people are grateful — the majority of the American people — that President Biden has not taken a page out of his predecessor’s playbook as it relates to global engagement and global leadership,” she said. “Because, certainly, we could be in a different place.”

We most certainly would be in a different place, if Biden had showed the strength and resolve that Trump did.

Of course, the premise of the question to which Psaki gave her inane answer was absurd. It’s hard to understand precisely where Bolton got the idea that Trump would have pulled us out of NATO, as the former president made robust efforts to get other NATO nations to pay their dues and make the alliance stronger. “There would be no NATO if I didn’t act strongly and swiftly,” Trump said last month. “Also, it was me that got Ukraine the very effective anti-tank busters (Javelins) when the previous Administration was sending blankets.”

But moving on from that, Psaki was utterly wrong about what Americans think. A recent poll found that 62% of voters believe Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump were still in office.

Psaki made her stunning comment the same day that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted that the administration would consider buying oil from terrorists instead of increasing domestic production, and on the heels of Psaki inadvertently admitting that Putin tends to invade other countries when Democrats are in the White House.

“You know, I was at the State Department, the president was the vice-president, the last time Russia invaded Ukraine,” she said last week. “This is a pattern of horror from … President Putin and from the cronies around him.”

Does Psaki really believe that Americans are grateful for Biden’s approach to “global engagement and global leadership” when that approach allowed for Putin to invade Ukraine, gas prices to skyrocket, and our tax dollars to fund terror-sponsoring nations?

President Trump’s leadership strengthened NATO and kept Russia at bay. The only Americans who could possibly be grateful for Biden’s approach would have to be Putin apologists.

“The deep commitment to an Iran nuclear deal that makes no sense has me convinced that a lot of people are either being bribed or blackmailed.”
–Prof. Reynolds

Joe Biden Spits on US Allies to Secure a Deal That Makes No Sense.

While the Biden administration has done its best to hide the ongoing negotiations, you’ve probably been made aware by now that a new JCPOA nuclear deal with Iran is in the works.

Guess who’s at the forefront of helping secure that deal? That would be none other than Vladimir Putin, who the United States is ostensibly at economic war with over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. About now, you are probably asking how that makes any sense at all. But stick around, because I promise you that it gets even worse.

Recently, I wrote two articles noting the seeming subservience of the Biden administration to Russia (see here and here), even as Biden himself has trotted out the tough-guy talk for a gullible public. Yet, behind the scenes, it appears that a deal with Iran has taken priority, even as Putin continues to bomb cities in Ukraine.

But hang on, I told you things would get worse. According to Kenneth Vogul, the Biden administration is now looking to normalize relations with the communist Maduro regime in Venezuela. How does that connect with the Iran deal? We’ll get to that in a moment.

Ostensibly, this action is being taken to help separate Venezuela from Russia. But anyone who is able to critically think and possesses a modicum of knowledge regarding international relations will quickly realize how dumb that contention is. Venezuela and Russia are allies, to the point where the latter held nuclear exercises there back in 2018. Russia has also been a supplier of commodities and materials to Venezuela as the South American nation has suffered under Western sanctions.

Now, does anyone think a quick visit from the Biden administration is going to “drive a wedge” between Venezuela and Russia given the relationship that exists between the two nations? In short, the Times’ spin on the matter, no doubt meant to protect the White House, doesn’t add up.

There is something that does add up though, and it connects to the Iran deal.

That makes much more sense. Russia has reportedly been making demands as part of its role in negotiating the new Iran deal. Putin having one of its chief allies legitimized on the world stage, setting up the framework to have sanctions removed while expanding Russia’s sphere of influence, sounds like a pretty good win for the Russian leader, doesn’t it?

In short, Biden’s pursuit of a boondoggle Iran deal boils down to empowering Russia and spitting on our allies, whether we are talking about Ukraine, Israel, or Venezuela’s democratically elected government. And for what? What is the United States getting out of a deal with Iran? There is no strategic interest there, especially given Israel, which does actually have a direct strategic interest, is against the JCPOA.

Again, nothing about this makes sense, and when nothing makes sense, it’s probably time to start asking tougher questions about what lies beneath the surface. Why have the last two Democrat-led presidencies been so obsessed with making a deal with Iran? Who is gaining what here? Are there payoffs involved? Why is Russia even a part of the negotiations given its behavior in Ukraine?

It seems the Biden administration is willing to do just about anything to hand the Iranian Mullahs another big win. That shouldn’t just be extremely concerning, it should be a scandal.

What with the earlier stories of the power behind the throne looking for ways to get rid of Kamalalalamadingdong, I wasn’t the first person to have ‘Ron Brown?’ pop into mind.

God Help Us: White House May Send Kamala to Europe for Diplomatic Mission.

Joe Biden was unable to prevent Russia from invading Ukraine, but now the White House is considering a new strategy. According to The Hill, there are active discussions about “sending Vice President Harris to Warsaw, Poland, and Bucharest, Romania, in the coming days to show solidarity with Ukraine as it faces an escalating Russian invasion.”

“The discussions involve sending Harris to visit troops stationed in Romania and potentially to the border with Ukraine, where a refugee crisis has seen more than 1 million people flee that country since the Russian attack,” the report continues. “The trip could happen in the coming weeks, one source said, adding that there is no active dialogue about sending President Biden to the region.”

“A presidential visit is a heavier logistical lift,” the source told The Hill. “The vice president has a smaller footprint and is historically more nimble.” The White House declined to comment, but one official was sure to make it known that Harris has been “deeply involved in the administration’s engagement with allies and partners.”

Harris spoke separately with the leaders of various European allies earlier this week to discuss Russia’s invasion.

“You can expect the vice president will continue to engage with allies and partners on these issues,” the official added.

And how well have her diplomatic skills worked so far? Last month, before Russia invaded Ukraine, Harris was at the  Munich Security Conference, during which she threatened Russia with “severe consequences” if they invaded Ukraine. That obviously worked out well.

Republicans brutally mocked her visit.

“Biden is deploying Kamala Harris to Europe to help ease Russia-Ukraine tensions,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) tweeted at the time. “Right, because she’s doing so well with our southern border…”

“I doubt [Putin’s] sitting back at the Kremlin right now shaking because Kamala Harris is over there,” Rep Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Newsmax at the time. “She can’t even find our southern border, much less the Ukrainian border. This is a joke, this is a travesty.”

After the failed trip, Harris continued to inspire zero confidence that she is capable of effective diplomacy or even understands world affairs. Earlier this week, in an attempt to explain the Russian invasion in layman’s terms, Harris said in a radio interview that “Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine, so basically, that’s wrong.”

Clearly, Harris doesn’t know what she’s doing, and for the White House to be even considering sending her back to Europe is a horrible joke.

Biden Makes Insane Claim About the Russians, Insults Americans, as Staffers Boot Press Again

We’ve seen that confusion is Joe Biden’s constant state of being. That would be okay if he were old Grandpa Joe, retired and playing with the grandkids, but not so okay if he is occupying the highest office in the land, with the responsibility of protecting America and Americans.

Biden held a cabinet meeting on Thursday, during which he said they would be “discussing additional sanctions on Russian oligarchs, our plans to lower costs for Americans, our unity agenda, and more.” You knew it was going to be a question — when he said “unity agenda” — since he’s been anything but unifying throughout his campaign and during his time in office.

Former CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller noted it was only Biden’s fourth cabinet meeting, far fewer than most other people at this time in his term.

The press was there for a part of the meeting. At least until Biden had a big gaffe, and then the press got tossed.

Biden claimed Russians were firing missiles “indiscriminately into Russian cities.”

That’s what’s on your prepared notes you’re reading from, really, Joe?

Biden can’t seem to keep the players in the drama straight. During his SOTU address, he referred to Ukrainians as “Iranians.” You could even see the cringe moment with Kamala Harris behind him, desperately mouthing, “Ukrainians,” with “oh, my” written all over her face.

Then Biden claimed on Thursday it was Americans who were “confused out there.”

Sorry, Joe, it isn’t Americans who are confused, it’s you. This is just a continuing pattern of insulting Americans for having the sense to not be enamored of him, telling the truth about how bad they think he is in polls, or questioning his positions.

Several People in Chula Vista Attacked by Airsoft Gun in Latest Social Media Challenge
CVPD says people are doing drive-by shootings with airsoft and Orbeez toy guns

Chula Vista Police said nine people have been attacked in what appears to be the latest social media challenge.

“It’s very stupid. This could have very tragic consequences,” warned CVPD Lt. Dan Peak.

He said they’ve received nine reports in the last year of Chula Vista residents being shot in a drive-by-style attack involving airsoft guns or toy guns that fire Orbeez balls. Orbeez are small colorful plastic pellets that expand when placed in water.

“It’s considered assault with a deadly weapon. So, these juveniles may think they’re doing a prank, the next thing you know they’re going to be in Juvenile Hall,” explained Peak.

“It was a very cowardly act,” said a Chula Vista man who asked to be identified as “Bogey”.

“Kids shouldn’t be going around pretending they’re doing drive-by shootings of people,” added Bogey.

The man said he and his wife were shot last Sunday near Eastlake by a group of teenagers or young men in a four-door car.

“Stops right next to us. We look. Instinctively as we start getting hit with something in the face and our body, we covered our face,” described Bogey with his hands over his face. “The fact that kids are doing this and thinking this is funny; it’s not a joke and there’s going to be consequences.”

Lt. Peak said the attacks appeared to be the latest challenge issued on social media platforms. He said CVPD has also received 41 calls in the last year from people witnessing similar attacks.

“There’s a lot of proud protective Momma Bears out there in Eastlake who, when they get you, you’re going to wish the police got you first,” warned Bogey. “If they’re old enough to drive and do this in cars, they’re old enough to comprehend this is not a joke and this is not okay.”

Yeah, that’s a pattern alright, just not one Peppermint Psaki should believe anyone should be proud of…………..
And her barely caught ‘Kinsley Gaffe‘ (telling the truth) – ‘a pattern of horror from this President‘ – is correct

Joe Can’t Change The Subject, So His SOTU Leaves Us Wishing To Change The President

It’s tradition in the State of the Union Address for the president to wrap himself in the flag. But usually it’s our flag.

Yet who can blame our feeble fake president for opening his big speech grasping desperately for the lifeline offered by the bravery of his inspiring Ukrainian counterpart?

After all, the contrast couldn’t be more stark: one rising from punch lines to wartime president, the other slumping from career politician into punch line.

And it’s another time-honored tradition, this of crisis communications, that when you can’t change the facts, you change the subject.

There’s one problem: the facts of Slumpy Joe’s failures loom so large that even larding 11 minutes of characteristically stumbling (Putin will “never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people”) dime-store Churchill at his oration’s opening could only delay the moment of reckoning.

Overall inflation headed for double-digits and oil prices for $150 a barrel. Violent crime leaping to heretofore unreached heights. Monthly illegal border crossings hitting hundreds of thousands. The damage of misguided COVID mandates mounting. And approval ratings plummeting to televangelist territory in a bitterly divided populace.

A whole troop of 800-pound gorillas in America’s communal living room left our Thief Executive no place to hide rhetorically.

So he plunged into those issues with the perspicacity expected of an intellect whose undergrad transcript blared more Cs and Ds than a Sesame Street episode, and whose resort to plagiarism didn’t save him from barely escaping the bottom 10% of his law-school class.

In fact, Landslide Joe could have used some plagiarism Tuesday night. Especially from somebody who, to channel Tom Cruise from “A Few Good Men,” didn’t miss the day they taught economics in economics class at the University of Delaware.

Take his inspired approach to achieving lower costs: demand lower costs.

For prescription drugs. Health care premiums. Energy. Child care. Long-term care. Housing. Shipping. Electric vehicles.

Darn. Why didn’t any other president think of that?

Oh, wait. One did: Richard Nixon in 1971. We all know how well that worked. According to economists Daniel Yergin and Joseph Stanislaw, “Ranchers stopped shipping their cattle to the market, farmers drowned their chickens, and consumers emptied the shelves of supermarkets.”

Yep. Mandating lower costs is going to help working families already facing not just higher food prices but also shortages. Not to mention risking the other fruits of Tricky Dick’s policy misstep: the inflation rate of around 6% at the time leapt to double digits once a second round of controls was removed. And totally tanked the economy, ushering in an entire era of stagflation.

OK, we’re being unfair. There was much more to our Counterfeit Commander-in-Chief’s plan to “fight inflation.”

Like increasing the minimum wage. And hiking taxes on corporations and entrepreneurs and putting a massive thumb on the scale in favor of unions. Eureka! What better way to help companies cut prices than to bloat the costs of labor and capital?

Not to mention flooding an already overflowing money supply with trillions more in government spending on universal pre-K; “clean energy” subsidies; overpriced, underdelivering college degrees; more ineffective “free” COVID masks and tests; and a new round of aid to failing K-12 schools. Plus substituting pricey and unreliable renewables for cheap, abundant fossil fuels.

Face it: the panel deliberating the next Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel should stop right now.

Can’t change the subject on inflation? Maybe try to change his spots on other vulnerabilities. Now he’s going to free us from COVID by accelerating approval of jabs for under-5-year-olds demonstrated to be far more in danger from vaccines than viruses.  And take credit for the re-opening of schools and businesses whose extended shutdowns, in the face of contrary scientific evidence, the White House had previously demanded, in particular on behalf of its teacher-union patrons.

President Brandon wants to “fund the police. Fund them! Fund them! Fund them!” He was just funning us when he agreed during the 2020 campaign America should “redirect some of that funding.”

Who knew that the same posse that plopped down seven, count ‘em, seven executive orders on the very day of his artificial inaugural to reverse the Trump get-tough posture –and call “all-ee, all-ee in-free” to the world – were doing so much to “secure the border and fix the immigration system?”

And of course, Joe movingly called on all of us to “stop seeing each other as enemies, and start seeing each other for who we really are: Fellow Americans.” Especially those “Fellow Americans” he previously referred to as favoring “Jim Crow 2.0;” heirs to Bull Connor, George Wallace and Jefferson Davis; white supremacists; and, especially in the case of soccer moms putting a fright into woke school boards, “domestic terrorists.”

No, changing the subject to his courageous Ukrainian contemporary didn’t fly. Nor changing basic principles of economic theory, nor previous stances. Leaving America right where we started the evening, after 13 months of first-class flops: wishing we could change the occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue 23 months early.

Your Utter and Complete Crap-For-Brains O’ The Day

This person wants to get rid of EVERYONE’S guns. Military, police, civilian, everyone.
So; Okay – for arguments sake – just suppose all guns/explosive projectile weapons/ammo/technology to make them magically disappear in a flash of smoke,  and the knowledge of how to make guns and ammo is lost to human ability.

Does this clabberhead somehow believe we all become buddypals worldwide, singing kum-bay-yah around the world campfire?

No, the world reverts to the old tried and true ancient maegenstrengo ‘main force’ which means might makes right, the strongest rule over the weaker and has been noted by other’s, life becomes- “nasty, brutish, and short”

Through My Lens: It’s time to talk about global gun control

Think about the lasting effects gun violence can have on Americans. That brief moment when someone opens fire at a school, a restaurant or in the mall, and people die while others are traumatized by what they hear and see.

Abdi Nor Iftin is a Somali-American writer, radio journalist and public speaker. He lives in Yarmouth.

Shootings over the last years have sparked a debate on gun control in the United States. But how do we start a debate about global gun control to put pressure on someone like Putin to stop waging wars on innocent people? At this writing, Russia’s powerful army surrounds Ukraine’s cities and towns, apparently shooting indiscriminately. I think of those who have to flee their homes of many years. Besides sending prayers and love to Ukraine, everyone everywhere should start talking about demilitarizing the world, or guns will undoubtedly kill many more millions in many more cities.

Putin Threatens Nuclear Escalation as Biden Goes on Vacation.

Does anyone at the White House realize how bad it looks for Joe Biden to hide at his private home in Delaware while Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues?

Apparently not, because that’s where he is, and Fox News reports that media communications with Biden have been limited while he’s been there.

Does anyone think that Trump could’ve gotten away with this? Now, granted, Russia wouldn’t have invaded Ukraine had Trump still been in office. Still, it doesn’t take a political expert to understand the optics of Biden hunkering down in Delaware for a long weekend as the Russia/Ukraine conflict appears to be escalating toward a nuclear war.

“He is right now threatening a nuclear escalation,” former DIA intelligence officer Rebekah Koffler told Fox News. “This a veiled threat – or maybe such a veiled threat – he just met with his chief of general staff and minister of defense. He is escalating the conflict into the nuclear domain in order to de-escalate – that is, topple Kyiv’s regime quickly.”

Meanwhile, questions remain about what Putin’s endgame is.

“It is not entirely clear if Mr. Putin has designs beyond the Ukraine,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said. “And it’s because that’s not perfectly clear that we continue to look for ways to bolster our NATO capabilities and to reassure our allies. I mean, one of the reasons we’re doing this is because we want to make it clear to him that we will defend every inch of NATO territory.”

I’d like to believe that, but mostly, I’m wondering whether Biden cares more about what his next ice cream cone flavor will be.

Promoting BS like this is exactly part and parcel of the continued push to ‘dumb down’ the populace, since ignorant people are so much easier to control.

2+2=5? Bill Gates funnels $1 MILLION to push ‘math is racist’ narrative
With $1 million of support from the Gates Foundation, universities and local governments are bringing “anti-racism” to mathematics.
The group says that a “focus on getting the ‘right’ answer” and state standards directing classroom instruction represent “white supremacy culture.”
The group suggests implementing “ethnomathematics” as an antidote.

With a $1 million check from the Gates Foundation, leading universities and local governments are building an effort to bring “anti-racism” efforts to mathematics.

A Pathway to Equitable Instruction exists to address “barriers to math equity” by offering “guidance and resources for educators to use now as they plan their curriculum, while also offering opportunities for ongoing self-reflection as they seek to develop an anti-racist math practice.”

Among the group’s content developers are Ruth Basket, Mirna Maranda-Welsh, and Malane Morales-Van Hecke from the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s Multilingual Academic Support Unit; David Chun, the Director of K-12 Mathematics at the Sacramento County Office of Education; and Mindy Shacklett, a Coordinator of Mathematics at the San Diego County Office of Education. Multiple professors from the University of California system and Loyola Marymount University also worked on the project.

In its acknowledgments section — which lists the aforementioned universities and governments as “dedicated partners” — the project thanks the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for its “generous financial support.”

Gates Foundation senior communications officer Josie Duckett McSpadden confirmed to Campus Reform that the nonprofit gave $1,000,000 to the group.

One of the group’s guides — entitled “Dismantling Racism in Mathematics Instruction” — lists the “focus on getting the ‘right’ answer,” the emphasis on “real-world math,” state standards directing classroom instruction, and the sequential teaching of skills as “white supremacy culture.”

Accordingly, the guide endeavors to debunk several alleged signs of white supremacy in mathematics. For instance, the notion that “‘good’ math teaching is considered an antidote for mathematical inequity” among minority students is decried on the grounds that “either/or thinking” “allows the defensiveness of Western mathematics to prevail.”

In addressing the belief that state standards ought to direct classroom instruction, the guide suggests that teachers “unpack how the standards uphold white supremacy culture.”

As an antidote to white supremacy culture, the guide suggests centering the classroom upon “ethnomathematics.”

Students may, for example, “recognize the ways that communities of color engage in mathematics and problem solving in their everyday lives” or “challenge the ways that math is used to uphold capitalist, imperialist, and racist views.”

Teachers are likewise encouraged to “intentionally include mathematicians of color” in their instruction and “acknowledge the mathematical knowledge of students of color, even if it shows up unconventionally.”

Another guide — “Sustaining Equitable Practice” — asserts that “the relationship between instructional coach and teacher can be complicated and nuanced given the intersectionality of both participants’ identities.”
