Billings pizza delivery driver shoots alleged robber

One man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after apparently trying to rob a worker delivering a pizza on the South Side Friday night.

Multiple Billings Police Department cruisers responded around 8:20 p.m. to the 300 block of South 28th Street, blocking off a portion of the road between Third and Fourth Avenue South. The condition of the man is unknown, and police are still conducting an investigation.

“The pizza delivery guy was attempting to deliver pizzas, when he claims that he was robbed. While in the process of being robbed, in self-defense he’s claiming, he fired a weapon, striking the suspect,” said Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid.

A white Sedan at the scene had a cracked windshield with visible holes. Reid said the suspect was struck in the abdomen, and then ran into a nearby alleyway where officers apprehended him. The delivery man remained under questioning by police, while the suspect was transported to St. Vincent Healthcare.

Reid said no arrests have been made, and detectives will be at the scene to continue the investigation.

“Right now, we’re trying to contact people in the area to find out what they’ve seen, trying to prove or disprove what we’ve been told,” he said.

Richardson gun store owner fakes heart attack, grabs gun to shoot armed robber

RICHARDSON, Texas – A group of armed men robbed a Richardson gun store Thursday, but one of them didn’t get away from the scene.

Mike Brown runs Mike’s Gun Room by himself. The 77-year-old says the group of masked men first acted like shoppers and then made it clear they came to rob the place. Brown pretended he was having heart trouble. It bought him enough time to grab a gun and shoot one of the suspects.

It’s a scenario Brown has played out inside his mind for the 26 years he’s owned a gun store, but Wednesday was the first time he says it happened.

Brown says three men came into his store at first seemed like they were shopping. Then, their actions changed. “They told me to get around behind the counter,” he said. “Get down on the floor.”

Brown says they held guns to the back of his head and then stole at least 50 weapons. The 77-year old says he faked having a heart condition in order to get his own gun. “I’ve got a heart medication and I’ve got to get to my pills,” he said.

Brown says the men started to leave by the time he grabbed his gun, so he pointed it at the only person still inside. “I told him to stop,” he said. “He turned around and I saw he had one handgun in his hand when he turned around.”

Brown shot the man in the shoulder. He fell to the ground outside while his accomplices drove off. Police arrived, and he’s now in custody at a hospital.

“I would not say it’s very common during the day like the situation here,” said Sara Able with the ATF Dallas Field Division. The ATF believes Brown was targeted since he works alone and he doesn’t have surveillance. Agents are concerned about where those guns might end up. “They are known to end up in the hands of those who commit violent crimes,” Able said.

Richardson police are searching for at least three other people involved. They may be driving a Chevy Impala with a paper license plate. “I’m sorry I had to shoot somebody, but — better than Plan B,” Brown said, referring to the possibility of him being shot.

The marine and Vietnam veteran who says he is used to high-pressure situations has a message for the ones who got away.

“Don’t come back,” he said. “I’ve got more ammo.”

This is how ‘twisted’ the purported logic is of those who 1,  don’t like the idea of personal self-defense and 2, when guns are involved, their mind goes blank in a spasm of ‘Guns are BAAAAD!‘.  And being a former law clerk of a noted proggie, leftist anti-gun Supreme Court Justice seals the deal, his head full of mush being better used as a hat rack when it comes to propounding on anything to do with individual rights, especially RKBA.

I’m not going to waste my time, or yours, trying to fisk this crap-for-brains piece of opinionated garbage. Any of the readers I know are more than intelligent enough to detect the fallacies and mistakes (purposeful or otherwise) on their own that this thoroughly indoctrinated ‘Harvard professor’ made in this propaganda piece.

The purpose of this post being to – again – display the generations of people who are  teaching indoctrinating our children in the colleges and universities these days.

How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

You’d think it would be easy to determine whether Kyle Rittenhouse can successfully plead self-defense after killing two people and injuring a third during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Turns out that it’s actually pretty complex. Here’s why: When gun rights get involved, the law tends to depart radically from common sense. Continue reading “”

Man wounded after kicking in door of Fort Worth residence in home invasion

A man was shot and wounded early Wednesday after he kicked in the front door of a Fort Worth home in what police say was a possible attempt to steal guns from the residence, police said.

The wounded suspect fled the scene and police continued their search for him Wednesday. The home invasion occurred just before 1:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Roaring Springs Road.

Witnesses told Fort Worth police that after he entered the home, the suspect began assaulting a woman. Her son shot the suspect in the leg.

The woman who had been assaulted in the home refused medical treatment, police said. The suspect jumped into a nearby vehicle, possibly accompanied by a woman, and drove to his sister’s home on Bonita Drive, but he fled again once he learned that his sister had called police. His companion was with him, Fort Worth police said.

Wonderful idiot copy writers. The homeowner shot to defend himself, not because the thug was trespassing.

Man shot in the arm after attacking ex-girlfriend, 2-year-old child

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot in the arm and may face charges after attacking his ex-girlfriend and her 2-year-old child on the West Side, according to San Antonio police. The incident happened a little after 8 p.m. Friday in the 3700 block of Wurzbach Road.

Officers were called to the scene for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police saw a 25-year-old man standing outside of the residence shot in the arm, officials said. The man was not cooperating with officers during the investigation and also appeared intoxicated, police said.

Police said the incident happened after the man came over to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, and they argued over property. The man then reportedly grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the neck and threw her down to the ground, police said. The man also went and allegedly grabbed her 2-year-old child by the neck, and that’s when his ex-girlfriend reached into her purse, grabbed a gun and shot him once in the arm, according to SAPD.

The man’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was taken to University Hospital.

Police said the woman acted in self-defense, and the man that was injured may face charges.

From the multiple search engine hits with multiple dates, this apparently happens quite often in ChIraq.

Off-Duty Cook County Corrections Officer Shoots Armed Robber Who Was Trying To Carjack Him

CHICAGO (CBS) — An off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s corrections officer shot and wounded a man who was trying to carjack him along with two others in South Chicago early Thursday morning, officials said.

Around 2:30 a.m., the off-duty corrections officer was getting out of his car in the 7900 block of South Essex Avenue when three men walked up and tried to steal his car, according to the Sheriff’s office.

The robbery suspect is on parole for felony theft for stealing a television from a pawn shop, the Sheriff’s office said.

Chicago Police are investigating.

Appears to me that trying to rob people at car washes isn’t the smartest thing to do. Of course, no one ever said that most criminals were smart.

Candidate Joe Biden Wants You Disarmed & Defenseless

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Nationwide, Americans tune in each night to find that rioting, looting, and unanswered 911 calls are our “new normal.”

We are repeatedly seeing American businesses looted and burned down while business owners are beaten and killed for defending their livelihoods.

The business owner requested “help [to] protect what he had left of his life’s work” after crippling damage from the previous nights’ rioting and looting.

That evening, Kyle would first defend himself from a twice-convicted pedophile who was chasing him and lunging for his AR-15, and later fight off two other attackers, one with a skateboard and another with a drawn a handgun.

Having watched the video evidence, President Trump observed that Kyle “was trying to get away” from his attackers before he fell and was “very violently attacked.” He also said that, had Kyle not defended himself, “he probably would have been killed.”

These are the words of a man who believes in the natural, God-given right to self-defense. Continue reading “”

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A suspected burglar was shot by a homeowner Sunday night while in the midst of breaking into a Southwest Bakersfield residence, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

According to BPD, the suspect and the homeowner had some relation to each other, but they did not specify.

BPD said officers responded to reports of a burglary in-process at the 2300 block of Mirto Court Sunday around 6 p.m. When they arrived, the homeowner reported someone attempting to force entry into the residence. The homeowner reported he armed himself with a handgun and fired at the suspect.

The suspect sustained multiple gunshots and was admitted to the hospital with moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries. BPD said the suspect is in stable condition.

That’s zero (0) as in NO incidents.
No blood in the streets.
No bodies stacked up like cordwood.
It makes one wonder about the mental state of the professors who were so scared they either retired or simply quit to go elsewhere. If they were that nonsensical, what does it say about the mental state to teach?

Three years after new policy, no incidents on campus related to concealed carry violations

The allowance for concealed carry of handguns at Kansas State and other Kansas Board of Regents schools began on July 1, 2017.

In accordance with state law, KBOR approved this new weapons policy, and since then, there have been no direct incidents on campus involving a concealed carrier.

This policy allows each university in the state to determine more specific ways to implement the policy on its campus.

KBOR approved K-State’s revised policy in Dec. 2016.

“Board policy also requires that lawful possession of a handgun on a campus be done safely in accordance with the law,” Matt Keith, director of communications for the Kansas Board of Regents, said. Continue reading “”

National Rifle Association: “I don’t carry a gun to take life but to defend it”

In a more realistic tweet, The NRA on Sunday wrote: “I don’t carry a gun to take life.” “I carry a gun to defend life.”

The Second Amendment ensures that Americans can protect themselves, their families and their businesses, especially when the government is unwilling or unable to do so

Amid violence and riots, the rule of law has been abandoned by the same elected officials who swore to uphold it. Many Americans are indeed now choosing to exercise their Second Amendment rights; a national indicator for gun sales is at an all-time high. Continue reading “”

“…break into homes…” n.b. That’s homeS, as in plural, as in more than one.
Looks to me like the burg bungler finally found what he was looking for.

Rifle vs. Shotgun for Defense in the Event of Civil Unrest

On an email discussion list the relative merits of shotguns vs. AR15s came up in the context of defensing yourself in a riot. Another member offered the opinion that Kyle Rittenhouse would been better served with a semiauto shotgun or even a side by side (SxS).

This is an edited version of my reply:

An AR15 or other semiauto rifle is an ideal choice for protecting oneself in a riot. As demonstrated by Kyle Rittenhouse, 5.56mm at close range is devastating, while offering light recoil and the ability to carry a lot of ammo while not weighing much.

A SxS shotgun is better than a sharp stick but when confronted with multiple attackers I don’t want to have to reload after only two shots. KR actually fired at 4 different individuals, all at bad breath range.

Something that needs to be noted is that these Antifa guys pressed the attack even after watching one of their buddies get killed. The old saw that a group of criminals will disperse after you drop one or two cannot be depended upon to be true when dealing with Antifa. IMHO, they need to be regarded more like determined insurgents than as criminals.

Also note the importance of a sling for weapon retention. One of the shootees, I think Pedo Dwarf, tried to pull KR’s rifle away from him before being shot. The sling prevented that. A bayonet might also be helpful for weapon retention. Continue reading “”

BLUF:
For better or worse, Democrats have tied themselves politically to the Marxist Black Lives Matter organization. Joe Biden, who has not been to Wisconsin in 670 days, finally but weakly denounced violent rioting, although he refused to explicitly condemn Antifa or BLM.

Corporate Media Didn’t Report What It’s Really Like In Kenosha, Wisconsin, So I Will.
The scene on Tuesday night was something I had only seen in photos of war-torn countries. Men and women stood with baseball bats, hand-guns, semi-automatic rifles, and shotguns in front of their businesses and homes.

*************

Many Kenoshans explained to me that law enforcement lacked the necessary numbers of officers to control the situation, forcing them to focus on defending public buildings, such as the courthouse, leaving citizens to fend for themselves.

Chuck, who owns an uptown tire shop, said he has been spending every night on his roof guarding his shop “with guns.” Chuck, who said he is “for Trump all the way,” was exhausted from several sleepless nights and fed up with his livelihood and life being terrorized by Black Lives Matter rioters. Chuck glared into my iPhone camera and said to the rioters, “Come to my shop and I’ll blow your heads off.” “I’ll even tell you where I’m at,” he said, adding, “C’mon, boys, I got something for your -sses.”

Not everyone was as prepared as Chuck. People who did not take their defense into their own hands met a sad fate. Sam, an Indian immigrant who owns a family-run car dealership in downtown Kenosha, lost “every dime” he has, and the 20 people Sam employed have all lost their jobs “for nothing.”…………

Overwhelmed law enforcement protected the courthouse, but Sam’s business and many others were left at the mercy of the mob. “I’m a taxpayer,” said Sam, clearly distraught that law enforcement did nothing to protect his business. “This is not the America I came into,” the shattered man said. “What did we do to deserve all this?” he asked. “I’m a minority too. I’m a brown person. I have nothing to do with this.” Sam and his family set up a Go Fund Me page, which at this moment, has raised a little over $10,000, nowhere close to the over $2 million raised for Blake.

After it was clear that law enforcement did not have the resources to protect people like Sam, Steil “got to work.” On Tuesday morning he said he was able to get through to President Trump within “8 minutes.” Steil told the president that Kenosha was in desperate need of resources and reinforcements. President Trump then reached out to Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, extending him an offer for aid, which Evers refused.

For three nights, Kenosha experienced dangerous rioting. It wasn’t until three individuals were shot and two died that Evers accepted help from President Trump. “It’s pretty darn clear who demonstrated leadership and who did not,” said Steil. Since federal agents and national guardsmen were sent to Kenosha, there has been relative peace in the city.

The overwhelming consensus among Kenoshans is that violent rioters did not come from their city. “Kenosha locals did not do this to their town, man!” said Jason, who came to Kenosha to check on his family.
