Brandon Scott Hole Identified as Suspect in Mass Shooting at Indianapolis FedEx Facility

Authorities have identified 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole as the suspected gunman who opened fire at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis on Thursday, killing eight people and wounding several others before taking his own life.

Two law enforcement officials briefed on the matter provided the identity to the Associated Press on Friday afternoon.

FedEx mass shooter was reportedly ‘known’ to authorities

The gunman in the FedEx shooting spree was previously known to federal and local authorities — and had been flagged up to law enforcement by a concerned family member before the deadly attack, according to a report Friday.

The suspect, who committed suicide after killing eight at the Indiana facility Thursday night, has not been publicly identified by police. But CNN reporter Ana Cabrera said he’s no stranger to law enforcement.

“Authorities were warned about FedEx suspect’s potential for violence in the past, sources say,” Cabrera tweeted. “The suspect in the Indianapolis mass shooting was known to federal and local authorities prior to the attack.”

Citing three law enforcement sources, Cabrera added that a relative reached out to authorities to warn them of the gunman’s “potential for violence.” It is not clear when the warning was issued.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief Craig McCartt said earlier in the day that investigators “have an idea” who the shooter is but declined to elaborate.

He said the killer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound as police closed in.

Police shoot man firing indiscriminately at people outside San Antonio airport

Police shot and killed an individual who began firing indiscriminately at people outside San Antonio International Airport in Texas on Thursday, police said.

The person, described as being in his 40s, drove up to Terminal B at about 2:30 p.m. local time and was confronted by a police officer, who had been warned of the vehicle driving the wrong way into the terminal. When confronted by the officer, the man got out of the car and started shooting wildly at the officer, the terminal and behind him, according to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.

He was shot by police and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

One bystander was injured by shrapnel and another was injured as people fled from the area, police said. Neither injury was considered serious. No officers were injured.

8 dead in shooting at FedEx facility in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A gunman killed eight people and wounded several others before apparently taking his own life in a late-night attack at a FedEx facility near the Indianapolis airport, police said, in the latest in a spate of mass shootings in the United States after a relative lull during the coronavirus pandemic.

Five people were hospitalized after the Thursday night shooting, according to police. One of them had critical injuries, police spokesperson Genae Cook said. Another two people were treated and released at the scene. FedEx said people who worked for the company were among the dead.

A witness said that he was working inside the building when he heard several gunshots in rapid succession.

“I see a man come out with a rifle in his hand and he starts firing and he starts yelling stuff that I could not understand,” Levi Miller told WTHR-TV. “What I ended up doing was ducking down to make sure he did not see me because I thought he would see me and he would shoot me.”

Student Fires at Officers at Tennessee School, Is Killed

A student opened fire on officers responding to a report of a possible gunman at a Tennessee high school Monday, and police shot back and killed him, authorities said. The shooting wounded an officer and comes as the community reels from off-campus gun violence that has left three other students dead this year.

Police found the student in a bathroom at Austin-East Magnet High School in Knoxville, a city about 180 miles (290 kilometers) east of Nashville, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David B. Rausch said at a news conference. They ordered the student to come out, but he wouldn’t comply, and that’s when he reportedly opened fire, Rausch said. Police fired back.

The student died at the school, and the officer was taken into surgery after being shot at least once in the upper leg, authorities said. The officer was expected to recover, and no one else was hurt. It wasn’t yet clear why the student brought a gun to school or why he fired at officers.

One person dead, officer injured after shooting at a high school in Tennessee

One person has died and a police officer was injured after a shooting at a high school on Monday in Knoxville, Tennessee, police said in a news release.

Knoxville Police Department (KPD) said multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Austin-East Magnet High School for reports of a person “who was possibly armed in the school.”

When officers approached the person, shots were fired, police said.

A KPD officer was hit at least one time and taken to UT Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was detained for further investigation.

“There are no other known gunshot victims,” police said in a statement.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will be leading the investigation of the incident, the release said.

Following the shooting, a reunification site was set up at the baseball field behind the school, police said in a tweet.

“We are gathering information about this tragic situation and will provide additional information as soon as possible,” Bob Thomas, Knox County Schools superintendent, said in a tweet. “The school building has been secured and students who were not involved in the incident have been released to their families.

Well, this will be ‘memory holed’ faster than the speed of light. Definitely not the correct demographic for the demoncraps to use for propaganda purposes.

Capitol Police Give Briefing on Attack at Capitol: One Officer, Suspect Killed in Incident

As we reported earlier, a suspect rammed a car into a barrier in front of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. just after 1:00 p.m. and hit two Capitol Police officers and hit the north barricade along Constitution Avenue on the Senate side of the building.

The suspect then allegedly got out of the car wielding something between a knife and a machete, after which the suspect lunged at the police officers, and was shot and killed by the Capitol Police.

One of the two officers was injured and the other has unfortunately died at the hospital, according to Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman.

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) — The suspect in the mass shooting at a grocery store in Boulder on Monday has been identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Al-Issa from Arvada. Ten people, including one police officer, were killed at the King Soopers store at Table Mesa Drive and South Broadway.

Al-Issa was shot in the leg by a Boulder police officer and was taken into custody. He is in the hospital and officials said his condition is stable.

UPDATE: Illicit Deadly No-Knock Houston Raid of Innocent Couple ~ VIDEO

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg held a press conference on the 25th of January, 2021, to release details about new indictments from a grand jury in the ongoing investigation of the illicit no-knock raid which occurred on the 28th of January, 2019, in Houston, Texas, on Harding Street. A gunfight occurred when the plainclothes officers burst in and shot the couple’s dog.

Dennis Tuttle and his wife, Rhogena Nicholas were killed in the raid.

The coverup of what happened to lead to the raid, and what happened in the raid fell apart partly because the lead instigator of the raid, officer Gerald Goines, was wounded in the neck and unable to talk.

The grand jury, on 25 January, indicted a 2nd officer for murder, and five more officers for organized criminal activity.

Anti-Asian violence can’t be blamed on Trump supporters

The horrific murder of eight people on Tuesday, victims mostly of Asian descent, has spurred a national conversation about rising violence against Asian Americans. The sole suspect is a troubled 21-year-old white man from Georgia.

This mass shooting may not be racially motivated: The killer seems to have been motivated by a sexual addiction and mental health problems. Still, as anti-Asian crimes have risen across the country, blue check marks on Twitter have placed the blame on former President Donald Trump and white supremacy. That the Left seems to need to blame every ailment of society at the feet of white people, conservatives, and Trump himself lacks any form of seriousness. While there are some violent perpetrators who are white, conservative, or Trump supporters, FBI statistics suggest that most anti-Asian violence has come from black perpetrators. Refusing to look at these statistics represents a refusal to take seriously the lives and security of Asian Americans.

According to the Justice Department, 27.5% of all violent crimes against Asian Americans in 2018 were committed by black people. That’s over 50,000 incidents in a single year. White criminals and Asian criminals each accounted for 24.1% of all attacks on Asians. Asian people, similar to their white counterparts, are underrepresented in violent crimes committed to the proportion of the population they make up. In 2019, Asians made up 6.2% of the population but just 1% of the perpetrators of violent crime. White people are 62% of the population but commit 50% of violent crimes.

This bears note in light of the Left’s narrative that white Trump supporters are propelled toward violence against Asian Americans because of xenophobia, racism, and Trump’s usage of “China virus” when speaking about the coronavirus. The narrative falls apart very quickly when observing the data.

Some left-wing outlets such as Vox have claimed that interracial violence between black and Asian people is a consequence of white supremacy. While being ridiculous at face value, it’s also unverifiable, which likely is the point. If you can’t disprove something based on data, then you can perpetuate the narrative. The same liberals who’ve said that white supremacy is to blame for anti-Asian crime are also some of the same people who have said Asians are white-adjacent and benefit from white privilege.

What Gun Control Proposal Would Have Prevented Georgia Shootings?

Never let a good crisis go to waste. That’s the Washington, D.C. mantra, it seems, especially among the left. They’ll latch onto anything and everything that happens as a way to advance an agenda, no matter how much reality interferes with their efforts.

Take the shooting in Atlanta. Let’s face it, it’s awful. Any time someone takes human life so indiscriminately, it’s just awful. There really aren’t enough words in the English language to describe just how terrible that is.

But almost as terrible is the fascination among some people to try and twist events. That’s what’s happening in the wake of Atlanta.

The U.S. House member whose district includes the first massage parlor targeted by a gunman Tuesday night said he was grateful the suspect was quickly apprehended and praying for those affected.

“My staff members and I are horrified by the violent shootings that took place at businesses in Woodstock and Atlanta this afternoon,” U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, wrote on Twitter late Tuesday. Our prayers are with the families of the victims this evening, and for healing for those injured.”

U.S. Rep. Nikema Williams represents the Atlanta neighborhood where two spas were attacked. She said the shooter must be held accountable but the wider issue of violence against Asian American people and Pacific Islanders, which has increased during the coronavirus pandemic, must also be addressed.

She noted that the House Judiciary Committee already had a hearing scheduled for Thursday to discuss this issue. And Williams supports a bill two Asian American lawmakers filed last week that would direct the Department of Justice to assign a point person to review COVID-19-related hate crimes. The COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act would also provide additional support for state and local law enforcement agencies in responding to hate crimes.

“Those are immediate steps that we can take in Congress beyond thoughts and prayers,” she said.

President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer were also among those who released statements condemning the violence that appeared to have roots in misogyny. U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar said the news of the shootings gripped her attention and she hoped that her colleagues and people at home are watching, too.

“We still know that this risk of gun violence is out there in a big way,” the Minnesota Democrat said. “And that’s what you saw, sadly, in Atlanta.”

Klobuchar said she was happy Georgia voters recently elected Democratic U.S. Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who she said are poised to support gun control measures.

About those gun control measures…  I’d be interested to know which of the plethora of gun control bills currently in Congress would have stopped this atrocity. He used a handgun, so no assault weapon ban. The killer purchased the gun legally, which means that even if he didn’t buy it at a gun store, he could have, so universal background checks would have done jack squat. There’s been no mention of “red flags” before his attack, so no red flag law would have stopped it.

So what which bill would have?

None. None would have. There’s no evidence that even a waiting period would have done a damn thing except delay him.

But for Democrats, it’s never really about addressing the incident, it’s about advancing an agenda and using the bodies of slain individuals as the soapbox from which they pontificate from. They don’t give a damn about the lives lost. They care about taking your guns. That’s it.

And they’re not going to let a good crisis go to waste.

Kevin McCarthy proven right after Dems, media accuse him of lying about suspected terrorists at border

Democrats and liberal media outlets questioned claims from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., about people on the “terrorist watch list” being detained while attempting to cross the southern border, but new information shows that McCarthy was right.

McCarthy delivered the warning about the “terrorist watch list” on Monday during an interview outside El Paso, Texas, shortly after speaking with border agents, who warned about foreign nationals on the terrorist watch list entering the United States.

McCarthy’s remarks were met with skepticisim from Democrats.

Three migrants from Yemen and one migrant from Serbia have been picked up by U.S. Border Patrol since last October while attempting to cross the southern border, Fox News reported Tuesday.

Four foreign nationals, whose names match those on the terror watch list, have been stopped trying to enter the U.S. via the southern border since October, a congressional aide familiar with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) information told Fox News.

Chick-fil-A robbery suspect captured by Colony Square visitors

Plenty of people love Chick-fil-A, but how many would be willing to confront an armed man suspected of robbing one of the Atlanta restaurant chain’s locations?

According to Atlanta police, multiple people who witnessed a robbery in progress at the Colony Square restaurant did just that, stepping in to confront and subdue the armed suspect.

One of those people was armed, and at some point during the confrontation, he fired several shots, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer C.J. Johnson said. He and several other Colony Square visitors were able to disarm the suspect, 23-year-old Willie Gloston, and hold him until police arrived, Johnson said.

Officers were sent to the Midtown restaurant about 3 p.m., according to Johnson. Witnesses told investigators that a man walked into the store and demanded money from a cashier. The man was later identified as Gloston.

It’s not clear if they gave the man any money, but the cashier fled to the back of the store and the suspect left.

As Gloston tried to leave Colony Square, he was confronted by bystanders and witnesses, leading to the gunfire and his capture, Johnson said. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail, where he remains.

Gloston is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police said no one was hurt by the gunfire. No charges have been filed against the bystander who fired the shots, Johnson said.

An investigation is ongoing.

Armed bystanders halt shooting spree that left 3 dead, including suspect, at Louisiana gun outlet

Armed bystanders stopped a mass shooting in Louisiana that left three people dead, including the suspect, and two injured down the road from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Saturday afternoon, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

“Arriving deputies located several victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” the sheriff said in a statement. “Three individuals were pronounced dead on the scene, and two more were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The two transported victims are in stable condition.”

It happened near a gun shop and shooting range on the 6700 block of Airline Drive in Metairie, La., just west of New Orleans, and armed bystanders helped subdue the gunman, according to authorities.

“At this time, it appears a suspect shot two victims inside the location, then was engaged and shot outside the location by multiple other individuals,” the sheriff’s statement continued. “The suspect is one of the deceased on scene.”

California Is Worse Than You Think.

My colleague from the philosophy department was becoming increasingly angry. He was trying to be polite, but it was clear that he was raging inside. After a few minutes, he smiled a very strained smile and excused himself.

Our conversation was about California, or to be more specific, California governance. As readers can imagine, he was bullish on how the Democratic Party governs the state, California being perhaps the most one-party state in the USA. Every statewide election has gone to a Democrat in the last decade, and Democrats have a supermajority in the state legislature, which means that there is no meaningful Republican opposition and whatever the Democrats want, they get.

Not surprisingly, California governance is squarely progressive. The unions representing government employees effectively run the legislature, and as a result, pay, benefits, and pensions for those workers increasingly are straining the state budgets. (Steven Greenhut, a libertarian journalist based in California, has documented the unsustainable growth of government in that state for nearly two decades.) Yet, the state continues to march politically and economically in the progressive direction as though the laws of economics didn’t matter.

For the most part I have observed progressive California from far away, but my life took a different turn a few years ago, and the state is becoming my new home. I married a retired nurse from Sacramento in 2018, and because of health issues with her adult daughter, she has to remain in that city, something not in our original plans. Because my school’s campus either has been closed or severely restricted during the covid-19 lockdowns, I have spent most of the past year working from my wife’s home.

Living and working in California has offered me the opportunity to observe California progressivism up close, and it has been an interesting experience. Yes, the state where I officially reside, Maryland, is famously one-party and progressive, but the progressivism of California makes Maryland’s legislature look almost red state by comparison and surreal in some ways.

House fire overnight after shooting near scene of deadly Sunday night home invasion in Port Arthur

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur Police are investigating a house fire that happened around midnight on Tuesday at the same home where three people broke in and held a family at gunpoint Sunday night.

An eyewitness tells 12News a neighbor saw smoke and flames coming from the home and dialed 911. Nobody was home when the fire started. Right now, the cause is unknown.

Less than 24 hours after the scary home invasion in Port Arthur, police were back near the scene Monday evening.

According to investigators, shots were fired Monday in the 2500 block of 18th Street. On Sunday night, investigators said a 29-year-old man shot and killed one of three people holding his family at gunpoint in their own home. Continue reading “”

Florida burglar climbing into home killed by falling window

A freak accident involving a falling window killed a Florida burglar, according to a report.

It happened Saturday during the attempted burglary of a home in Lehigh Acres, NBC 2 Fort Myers reported.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that the window killed Jonathan Hernandez when it slammed down on him as he was climbing through it.

The incident report says the window came down on the 32-year-old man’s neck, the station reported.

Deputies found him dead when they arrived on the scene.

Tyrone Lane told the station he and Hernandez were friends. He questioned the account of what happened.

“He is not a burglar,” he said “He’s not a thief. He’s not a bad guy. That’s not what he is.”

Biden Urges Dems To Conceal Their Defund the Police Agenda Until After Georgia Runoffs

In a recording leaked to The Intercept, former Vice President Biden appeared to blame the “defund the police” movement for the Democrats’ shellacking down-ballot in the 2020 elections, and urged liberal civil rights leaders not to put public pressure on his incoming administration regarding police reform until after the Georgia Senate runoff elections in January.

“I also don’t think we should get too far ahead ourselves on dealing with police reform in that, because they’ve already labeled us as being ‘defund the police’ anything we put forward in terms of the organizational structure to change policing — which I promise you, will occur.
