Have you noticed that Republicans have been losing a lot lately?
This, in an environment where most Americans think that Democrats are screwing up the country. Why do you think that is?
Sure, hatred of Trump has something to do with it. Abortion politics has something to do with it. A lot, actually. Each of you can name an issue where Republicans are in bad odor with ordinary people, but add them all together and one thing becomes clear: propaganda works.
Why is Trump so unpopular? Was it because things got worse under his presidency? Uh, yeah, no. Things got immeasurably better, and even a lot of people who hate him will say that.
Is abortion such a drag on Republican prospects because people don’t agree that late term abortions are immoral, except in extreme circumstances? That’s not what the polls say.
Why do people think Republicans are all-in on banning books? Has anybody suggested making the publishing of any books illegal? Of course not. Democrats actively campaign to prevent the publication or sale of books they don’t like, but Republicans don’t.
So what is it?
It is the steady drumbeat of propaganda portraying Republicans as Nazi White Supremacists who want to force 11 year-olds to birth babies, schoolmarms who hate gays, and White Supremacists who hunt minorities in the dead of night. We wanted to kill grandma and deserved to be put in camps:
January 2022:
▪️30% of Democrats agreed that children should be taken away from unvaccinated parents
▪️Over 40% of Democrats agreed that the unvaccinated should be sent to quarantine camps
▪️Almost 50% of Democrats agreed that critics of the vaccine should be fined/imprisoned pic.twitter.com/4CsKpsn5X0— James Melville (@JamesMelville) July 12, 2023
You can’t escape the propaganda. It is everywhere. In the schools, in the classrooms, on every university campus, and in the MSM.

Sorry, Obama: ‘We’ Aren’t Complicit. It’s You Who Has Blood on Your Hands.
In 1953, the Swiss novelist Max Frisch published a play called The Arsonists. It’s a pitch dark comedy about a small town ravaged by a group of maniacs disguised as traveling salesmen, who sweet-talk their way into people’s homes and then set them on fire. Its protagonist is a dolt called Biedermann—bieder being German for honest, respectable, and upright. He’s aware of the danger, and yet, when the arsonists knock, he lets them in. The tragedy, Frisch argues, is that he almost has no other choice: The arsonists are such smooth talkers that it’s easy, when listening to them, to ignore the large drums of kerosene and the matches they’re holding in their hands.
I thought of The Arsonists this week when I heard snippets of a podcast interview featuring former president Barack Obama on the Middle East. “Nobody’s hands are clean,” Obama said. “All of us are complicit.”
It’s you, because you’re the one who gave that stentorian speech about red lines in Syria and then sat by and did nothing as those red lines were crossed and Assad continued to slaughter his own people, allowing the Iranians and the Russians to creep in and fill the vacuum left by your devastating lack of leadership.
It’s you, because you’re the one who delivered a parting gift to the region, ending your final term as president by reversing four decades of American bipartisan support of Israel and abstaining from a U.N. vote condemning Israeli settlements, while funneling $400 million in annual payments to the despotic Palestinian Authority, which then promptly used this money to fund its pay-for-slay program, doling out large cash payments to any Palestinian who murdered Jews.
So, please, Mr. President: Spare us your opinions.
The West Bank can be ‘disputed’ as much as anyone wants. The region just happens to be the ancient Israelite provinces of Judea and Samaria taken back from Jordan (after that country occupied it in 1948 during that war), after during the 1967 ‘6-Day’ war.
Scoop: Biden Demands Gun Control for Israelis
The Biden administration refused to sell American weapons to Israel unless it provided guarantees the guns would not be given to civilians living in the West Bank, the Washington Free Beacon is exclusively reporting.
The Jewish state urgently requested the United States sell it thousands of M-16 rifles following the Hamas terror group’s Oct. 7 slaughter of more than 1,400 unarmed Israeli citizens. But the Biden administration would not approve the sale until Israel guaranteed the critical weapons would not reach civilian outposts in the West Bank, which the Biden administration and its Democratic allies view as occupied territory.
The stipulation was characterized by officials as unusual and indicates the Biden administration is succumbing to pressure from its far-left flank, which is pressing Israel to enact a ceasefire and accusing the Jewish state of carrying out a genocide as it defends itself from Hamas terrorists operating in the Gaza Strip.
The guns are critical to Israel’s defense as it faces down the most significant threat in decades. With the military engaged in an assault on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, Jewish civilians in dangerous areas like the West Bank are being trained and equipped to defend themselves against potential attacks.
Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.) is said to be one of the lawmakers who pressured the Biden administration to restrict Israel’s access to the weapons.
The Biden administration has become increasingly open about its desire for Israel to halt its war effort so that humanitarian aid can be delivered into the Gaza Strip, a call the Jewish state has rejected, citing Hamas’s reliance on this aid for its terrorist activities. President Joe Biden, after initially offering full throated support for Israel’s defensive operations, accused Israelis living in disputed West Bank areas of conducting unwarranted attacks on Palestinians in remarks late last month, claiming they are “pouring gasoline on the fire.”

A Second American Civil War Has Begun
Partisan politics in Washington, D.C. are hindering the government’s ability to function effectively.
The investigations into former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are causing serious division and tearing the country apart.
A Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll found that roughly half of Americans believe the investigations into Donald Trump are politically motivated.
Republican lawmakers argue that these investigations are necessary to root out corruption, while Democrats make similar claims about Trump.
Rep. Virginia Foxx, (R-N.C) said, “The sequence of events that led to the firing of Viktor Shokin, and the subsequent comments by then-Vice President Biden, raise serious concerns as to what machinations were really at play — and were purposefully concealed from the American people. No matter how you slice Hunter Biden’s involvement, it screams public corruption at the highest levels and must be fully investigated.”
Rep. Clay Higgins (R-Louisiana) added, “The calm, judicious, steady reveal of incredibly condemning evidence that clearly incriminates the Biden crime family will eventually alarm even the most ardent supporters of this WH occupier.”
‘Our president is compromised, he should resign and be forever condemned, and the Democrat Party should begin rebuilding itself.”
“Everything we are uncovering points to Hunter Biden using his name and his father’s position to get rich,” said Rep. William Timmons (R-S.C.).
“It’s bribery — and it is both wrong and illegal. House Democrats, the legacy media, and even top brass at the FBI and DOJ failed to do their job and investigate all the literal and figurative smoke that clouds Hunter Biden. House Republicans will do our job and uncover the truth.”
Beginning on January 20, 2011, then-Vice President Joe Biden wrote a personal letter to Archer to thank him for the business opportunity. The smoking-gun evidence has been analyzed and authenticated.
“What was he thanking you for?” political commentator Tucker Carlson asked.
“It was kind of the beginning of our partnership, and he was thanking me and thanking Hunter,” Archer said. “I think, at the end of the day for bringing this idea of this government regulatory strategic advisory business into the private equity world. And I think he was excited about the prospects for Hunter, and he was just thanking me. I think it was a nice gesture.”

Archer testified at the House Oversight Committee and confirmed that Hunter put his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone while meeting with business partners at least 20 times. “Archer described how Joe Biden was put on the phone to sell ‘the brand,’” Archer explained in his testimony.
Archer’s testimony is corroborated by Hunter Biden’s texts and emails. In 2019, a text message from Hunter to his daughter revealed that his father, Joe Biden, takes half of Hunter’s business salary stemming from their work together. This illegally and unethically exploited Biden’s power and position while working as vice president in the Obama administration.
It’s not ‘news’ that Tlaib & other demoncraps in Congress are anti-Semitic. What is, is that they’re so open about it now. This is SloJoe’s and the party’s big problem. They’re stuck between a political rock and a hard place
Rashida Tlaib Posts Video Pushing Genocidal Rhetoric against Jews
Representative Rashida Tlaib on Friday posted a video promoting a genocidal message against Jews that calls for a Palestine that stretches “from the river to the sea.”
The video features Tlaib interspersed with clips of large pro-Hamas protests in major U.S. cities, and threatens that Biden will lose support if he does not embrace a cease-fire — which would allow Hamas to go unpunished for carrying out the October 7 massacre and leave over 230 hostages, including Americans, in captivity in Gaza. It would also allow Hamas to make good on its threat to repeat similar massacres over and over again until Israel ceases to exist.
In one part of the video, a crowd is featured chanting “from the river to the sea” — and text appears on screen further emphasizing this message. As I have written previously, this is a call for genocide against Jews:
The issue is that “from the river to the sea” refers to the entire area in between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea — an area that encompasses not just territories captured by Israel in 1967 during the Six-Day War, but the entirety of Israel. Referring to that entire area as “Palestine” is not a call to end the occupation, to create a two-state solution, or even to return Israel to the borders that existed before 1967.
It is a call for the elimination of Israel in its entirety. Israel is home to nearly half of the world’s Jewish population. The only way you can eliminate Israel and turn that whole area into Palestine is by killing millions of Jews.
This is not a random video Tlaib reposted which she could claim to have not fully vetted. It is a video in which she herself appears, and it’s posted under her own account. She is well aware that she is calling for genocide against Jews and doesn’t care.

Many Americans have been led to believe the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a conflict over land when it is a religious conflict rooted in Quranic doctrine; a doctrine consumed with Jew hatred throughout its numerous passages.
The formation of Islam began with Mohammad in 610 A.D. in the city of Mecca where he attempted to convince the local pagan population he was sent by God to be his messenger. During his time in Mecca his messages were relatively peaceful as demonstrated in the following verses:
“You cannot guide those you would like to but God guides those He wills. He has the best knowledge of the guided.” (Quran/28:56); “God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” (Surat al-Mumtahana,8);
Nevertheless, his messages were received with resentment by a population of idol worshippers. He and a few of his followers were driven out of town and forced to flee to Medina where he gained a following with the aid of the three residing Jewish tribes (the Qurayzah) who falsely assumed their financial aid given to him would protect them from the fate meted out to others.
Mohammed’s attempts to mollify the Medina Jews resulted in a series of conciliatory passages that contradict the vast majority of Quranic references to Jews: “O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations.” (Muslims try to explain away these through the Doctrine of Abrogation, which nullifies certain passages in the “perfect” Quran, something not required by either the Old or New Testaments.)
In fact, while in Medina, Mohammad and his followers were reported to have pillaged villages while raping and capturing the women to be used as sex slaves, and although the three Jewish tribes feared him, they continued to cling to their Judaism. As a result, in 627, a mere five years after Muhammad arrived in Medina, he oversaw the beheading of approximately 900 Jewish men in the marketplace on trumped-up charges of conspiring with the enemy. The captured Jewish women became sex slaves, and their children were taken into slavery.
Thus, it is worth noting, the refusal of Jews some 1400 years ago to accept Mohammad as a prophet has enshrined Islam with contempt and Jew hatred for all
of eternity. The Quran stipulates that Jews were rebellious disbelievers to the teachings of Allah and that they sinned against him. It can be found in the following passage:
“Those among the children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed. That was because they disobeyed Allah and the Messengers and were transgressing beyond bounds.” Quran 5:78-82
Throughout the Quran Jews are depicted as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the wellbeing of all Muslims.
“They are the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims” (5:82) “They fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah” (2:79; 3:75, 3:181) “They disobey Allah and never observe his commands” (5:13) “Hiding the truth and misleading people” (3:78); “Staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance” (2:55); “Giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad” (2:87).
The most hostile passage can be found in the sayings of Mohammad referred to as the “Hadith.” In Bukhari Volume 4 Book 52, Number 176 Allah’s Apostle said “You Muslims will fight the Jews till some of them hide behind stones. The stones will betray them saying ‘Oh Abdullah (slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so, kill him.” This passage often cited by Jihadists in their quest to annihilate the Jews.
Christians too are negated for worshipping a false messiah, Jesus, “Quran (8:39) — “And fight with them until there is no more fitnah (disorder, unbelief) and religion is all for Allah.” But Jews are to be loathed and slaughtered. They are referred to as apes and pigs, disbelievers, cowards, liars, and they are set up as a target who can run and hide but cannot avoid the sword of the Islamic warrior.
That’s because they’re really not ‘Pro-Israel’.
Here We Go: ‘Pro-Israel’ Democrats Start to Waffle on Israel’s Self Defense
In the immediate aftermath of the hell on earth visited upon Israeli civilians by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists, most Democrats in Washington — aside from the predictable fanatical Israel haters and bigots — talked a strong game about Israel’s right to self defense. Many of us warned that although such statements of solidarity were nice, the real test would lie in the days and weeks ahead. Once the initial shock of the massacre wore off, and Israel’s military was grinding through a brutal war to destroy Hamas, how long would the support truly last? Here we are, less than four weeks past the single largest one-day mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust, and the President of the United States is calling for a temporary “pause” in the IDF’s offensive, supposedly for ‘humanitarian’ reasons. Not only that, he’s threatening to veto crucial military aid to Israel if it’s not paired with money for Ukraine:
I personally support helping both of these allies in their fights for survival against anti-American enemies, but this is not a time to play games.
If I was Benjamin Netanyahu, I have my spokesman to ‘diplomatically’ tell SloJoe what to do with a cactus.
Biden Shot His Mouth Off About the Israeli Invasion of Gaza…And It’s Not Good
Joe Biden once again mouthed off about the Israeli invasion of Gaza last night. He wants a humanitarian pause, also known as a ceasefire, which is music to Hamas’ ears. Granted, this isn’t new, but it showcased again the administration’s temperamental attitude toward this issue. We vetoed a UN resolution calling for something similar when Israeli air and artillery strikes were becoming more intense. The timing isn’t lost on anyone, either.
Guy wrote about the Israel problem Biden is facing from the Left. And Biden’s “pause” remarks occurred during an event in Minnesota, a state he needs to win next year, which is chock-full of pro-terrorist or terrorist-sympathizing voters (via Fox News):
NEW – Hamas official Ghazi Hamad says they will repeat October 7-like attacks until Israel is annihilated.pic.twitter.com/dM4lziXxjz
— Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) November 1, 2023
“President Biden said there should be a “pause” in the Israel-Hamas War to provide humanitarian aid to Gazans and get those trapped in the Gaza Strip released.
The comment came during a campaign event in Minnesota on Wednesday evening, when a member of the audience shouted: “As a rabbi, I need you to call for a ceasefire right now.”
The president — who has not supported a ceasefire since the war began on October 7 — said that he would support a “pause.”
“I think we need a pause,” Biden began. “A pause means give time to get the prisoners out.”
In his comments, Biden was exerting pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to give Palestinians a brief reprieve from Israel’s retaliatory military operation. He also said he convinced both Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to allow aid into Gaza.
Biden later said that he understood the “emotion” over the war and said it is “incredibly complicated for Israelis.”
“It’s incredibly complicated for the Muslim world as well… I supported a two state solution, I have from the very beginning,” he continued. “The fact is the matter is that Hamas is a terrorist organization. A flat-out terrorist organization.”
The New York Times Asks Why ‘Fiery’ Iran Hasn’t Killed All the Jews Yet
Congratulations, New York Times! Bravo! It has taken 90 years, but you may have finally outdone your support for Joseph Stalin and his Ukrainian genocide. Maybe this coverage will get you another Pulitzer Prize you’ll never give back. The Columbia Journalism Review may have to create a new award for “Best Support of 21st Century Genocide.” The Politi”fact” frauds in Florida will be forced to find a whole new way to offer “context” for this one. And anti-Semites, from those still hiding in caves to Qatar’s terrorist financiers to the nation’s Ivy League faculty lounge nests of Jew haters, will applaud your efforts.
On Wednesday, the New York Times editors asked a question posed by so many Islamo-supremicists over the millennia: Why haven’t they killed all those Jews?
What an excellent question. Indeed, the newspaper posed it as a long-time “dilemma” for the biggest state sponsor of terrorism.
The story was written by Times reporter and UN bureau chief Farnaz Fassihi, an Iranian-American writer who has reported not just for the Times but also for the Wall Street Journal. Fassihi posed the “dilemma” facing the Shiite terror regime in the piece, entitled “After Years of Vowing to Destroy Israel, Iran Faces a Dilemma.” It was subtitled, “With Israel bent on crushing Iran’s ally Hamas, Tehran must decide whether it and the proxy militias it arms and trains will live up to its fiery rhetoric.”
Sheesh, and we thought the biggest dilemma from recent events was trying to determine the identities of all those people who were burned, raped, beheaded, and shot before their remains were cast to the demon birds on October 7.
This elitist snob starts with an opinion that he states as fact and then moves on from there building a large sand castle
Textualist or not, does Johnson, or anyone, really, believe that if we could question Madison today, he would say that it was his intent to allow this country to be awash in guns, including automatic weapons that serve no good purpose other than as instruments of war or mass killings?
The obvious answer is YES! Madison and his fellow patriots had just fought off what they considered a tyrannical government, and they believed the people had that right and that responsibility to ensure a free state. “Weapons of War”™ (*gasp* Horrors!) were exactly the kind of “arms” the second was intended to protect, just in case the government was stupid enough to not realize that in the future. That does not even address the issue that there exists tens of millions of these rifles in the nation that are used for lawful purposes daily.
He claims he is ‘incredulous’. I find myself also being incredulous that someone who has held and holds such positions can also hold such a flawed opinion, especially after the Supreme Court had ruled on the matter so many times, starting in the 1800s with Cruikshank and on to just last year in Bruen. Actually I wish he would hold his breath.
Speaker Johnson’s hypocritical First and Second Amendment contradictions

Former (thank God) Federal Judge John E. Jones III, President of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a college president. And I am afraid.
The mass killing last week in the college town of Lewiston, Maine, is the 36th this year in the United States, according to an AP/USA Today/Northeastern University mass killings database. The 18 who were murdered bring us to a total of nearly 200 victims of these ghastly events.
Sadly, it is easy to predict that there will be more of them before the year is out. Which community — college town or not — will bear the weight of the next tragedy?
I am also a former federal judge. And I am incredulous.
The House of Representatives has a new Speaker, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.). During a 2016 sermon at the Christian Center in Shreveport, La., Johnson blamed mass school shootings on a “series of cultural shifts” in the United States that included teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution and erasing creationism from society. Last week, Johnson opined that it was inappropriate to discuss gun control “in the middle of a crisis” and that “it’s not the weapon, it’s the underlying problem.”
The suspected Maine shooter reportedly used a “Ruger SFAR” rifle “chambered for high-powered .308 ammunition.” The weapon is “larger and more powerful than the regular ammunition carried in the rifles of soldiers and SWAT teams.”
Johnson is a staunch defender of what he believes the Second Amendment to the Constitution represents. Its wording, which includes “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” has for generations been the subject of various interpretations and countless lawsuits.
Interestingly, the same Bill of Rights that contains the Second Amendment also features the First Amendment. Within it is the establishment clause, which prohibits the government from making any law “respecting an establishment of religion.”
In 2005, I presided over the landmark case of Kitzmiller v. Dover in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. At its conclusion, I ruled that a school district’s policy introducing a concept known as intelligent design into the ninth-grade biology curriculum was, in fact, tantamount to teaching creationism, and thus violated the establishment clause. In rendering this opinion, I carefully followed the First Amendment’s dictates as well as Supreme Court precedent. The decision was not appealed and still stands.
It is my educated guess that Speaker Johnson, a trained lawyer, sees himself as a textualist. That is, he believes in the ordinary meaning of a legal text. I have always thought that to be an interesting interpretive theory so far as it goes, but far too unrealistic in practice. The Second Amendment was drafted largely by James Madison, who of course later served as president of the United States.
Textualist or not, does Johnson, or anyone, really, believe that if we could question Madison today, he would say that it was his intent to allow this country to be awash in guns, including automatic weapons that serve no good purpose other than as instruments of war or mass killings? It is absurd to think that Madison, a brilliant scholar and statesman, would endorse that view. In fact, I think he’d be as incredulous as I am that anyone could so torture the amendment he carefully drafted in this fashion.
I find myself endeavoring mightily to explain to my students how we arrived at this point, and why we lack the political will to pass reasonable gun legislation that would make us all safer. I have no good answers to their inquiries. They are afraid, and I share their apprehensions.
And so, I ask new Speaker Johnson and his colleagues these questions: Where is your courage, and when is the right time to pass legislation designed to end these slaughters? I will not hold my breath waiting for answers.
Well, if the goobermint would have secured the border…….
‘A Time for Vigilance’: FBI Dir. Christopher Wray Warns of Heightened Threats to the Homeland
FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on Tuesday morning. The hearing was titled “Threats to the Homeland.”
In conjunction with his appearance, Wray submitted a 15-page statement covering the following topics:
- Key Threats and Challenges
- National Security
- Terrorism Threats
- Cyber
- Foreign Intelligence Threats
- National Counterintelligence Task Force
- Transnational Repression and Other Counterintelligence Threats
- Criminal Threats
- Violent Crime
- Transnational Organized Crime
- Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking
- Reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act
But it was Wray’s testimony regarding the heightened risk of attacks here in the U.S. that really caught the attention. This exchange between Wray and Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) highlights the danger of the times.
WRAY: What has now increased is the greater possibility of one of these foreign terrorist organizations directing an attack in the United States. We haven’t seen evidence that it’s actually happening yet, but what we have seen is — and I listed them off in my opening remarks — one terrorist organization after another calling for attacks.
SCOTT: We should wake up.
WRAY: It is a time to be concerned. We are in a dangerous period.
SCOTT: So, is the FBI able to track all threats and prevent these individuals from conducting an attack on U.S. soil?
WRAY: I couldn’t say that we’re able to detect all individuals. The people that we know about — as Secretary Rumsfeld used to say, ‘the known-known’ — we’re quite good at, together with our partners. But it is the unknown-unknown that I worry about quite a bit.
SCOTT: So, Director Wray, can you say that we do not have either individual foreign terrorists or terror cells affiliated with foreign groups currently operating in the United States?
WRAY: Well, we’re not — we’re not tracking that, but again, I come back to what it is: The gaps in our intelligence are real, and it’s something that we have concerns about.
SCOTT: So, Director Wray, so…what would you say right now to the American public — because, like, in my state, I’ve got a significant Jewish population. They’re scared to go to synagogue, Chabad. They’re scared to send their kids to day schools. So — but it’s not just them. It’s other individuals, like my daughters called me and said: Should they be sending their kids to school? What would you tell Americans right now about the threat today as compared to before?
WRAY: This is not a time for panic, but it is a time for vigilance. We shouldn’t stop conducting our daily lives, going to schools, houses of worship, and so forth. But we should be vigilant. You often hear the expression “If you see something, say something.” That’s never been more true than now. And that’s probably partly why the American people are reporting more tips and leads to us and we’re pursuing those threats and leads as vigorously and responsibly as we can.
Wray acknowledged the very real threat of terrorist groups like Hamas conducting attacks on U.S. soil.
California Democrats Disarm Synagogues
Here’s a story I missed from September that takes on an even more sinister cast in retrospect.
Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced the filing of a new Second Amendment lawsuit challenging multiple parts of California SB2, which unilaterally declares numerous locations as “sensitive places” where California will now ban the carry of firearms by licensed, law-abiding Californians. The complaint in Carralero v. Bonta can be viewed at FPCLegal.org.
“SB2 restricts where persons with licenses to carry a concealed weapon may legally exercise their constitutional right to wear, carry, or transport firearms. And it does so in ways that are fundamentally inconsistent with the Second Amendment and the Supreme Court’s decision in Bruen,” argues the complaint. “The Second Amendment does not tolerate these restrictions. This Court should enter judgment enjoining their enforcement and declaring them unconstitutional.”
“With Gov. Newsom’s signing of SB2 today, California continues to exhibit its disdain for the rights of Californians, the U.S. Constitution, and the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision,” said Cody J. Wisniewski, FPC Action Foundation’s General Counsel and Vice President of Legal, and FPC’s counsel. “Unfortunately for California, and contrary to Governor Newsom’s misguided statements, the state does not have the power to unilaterally overrule individual rights and constitutional protections. Fortunately, courts across the nation have already struck down laws just like SB2, and we expect the same result here.”
FPC is joined in this lawsuit by three individuals, Orange County Gun Owners, San Diego County Gun Owners, and California Gun Rights Foundation.
If Democrats actually revered the Supreme Court as much as they claim to, Bruen would have ended their attempts to pass Second Amendment infringing legislation. But the goal of disarming the civilian population is only slightly less sacred a Democratic Party cause than taxpayer-funded abortions. So they soldier on trying to thwart the Constitution.
Here is the relevant text of SB2.
This bill would remove those exemptions, except as specified. The bill would make it a crime to bring an unloaded firearm into, or upon the grounds of, any residence of the Governor, any other constitutional officer, or Member of the Legislature. The bill would also prohibit a licensee from carrying a firearm to specified locations, including, among other places, a building designated for a court proceeding and a place of worship, as defined, with specific exceptions. By expanding the scope of an existing crime, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.
Well, it’s not like any particular houses of worship are under particular threats from particular terrorist organizations, now is it?
Just four years ago on the last day of Passover, a man armed with a rifle burst into a synagogue in Poway, near San Diego, fatally shot one woman and injured three other congregants, including the synagogue’s rabbi.
A year before, an even more horrific attack on a Pittsburgh synagogue left 11 dead.
In the aftermath of the attack on Israel, many American Jews are arming themselves. But in California, not only will Jews and worshippers in other faiths be banned from protecting themselves in their houses of worship, but would-be killers will know that potential victims in “sensitive” areas will be unarmed.
Everywhere in the west, the radical left is protesting to support Hamas, despite (or perhaps because) of the latter’s calls to completely destroy the Jews. Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom and California Democrats are disarming law-abiding Jewish American citizens in their synagogues.
What are the odds?
Everything the social justice crowd told us was a lie.
Everything the social justice crowd has said for the past 15 years has been a lie.
The movement gained a foothold in American culture around 2008, riding a wave of popular reexaminations of race relations, political divisions, and systemic disparities. It styled itself as an honorable call to right the wrongs of society, both historical and contemporaneous.
The past three weeks, however, have served as definitive proof that the benevolent emperor is a naked tyrant. The warriors for the oppressed are not so noble and selfless as they claim. Neither are they singularly motivated by the ideals of “inclusivity,” “equity,” and “diversity.” They’re as greedy, vicious, prejudiced, and hateful as the oppressors they accuse.
