Quote O’ The Day:
“One of the great advantages of the totalitarian elites of the twenties and thirties was to turn any statement of fact into a question of motive.”

Journos and Other Libs Can’t Defend Darrell Brooks, So They Attack Andy Ngo.

For the past 15 months, our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the press have screamed that Kyle Rittenhouse is a “white supremacist” for shooting three white men who were attacking him. Now those same journos are trying to suppress information about a black supremacist who ran over dozens of people at a Christmas parade in Wisconsin. The journos and other libs can’t use this mass murder for their own political purposes, so they’re blaming Andy Ngo for revealing facts about the killer’s past that they’d rather you didn’t know.

Ngo and a few others confirmed the identity of Darrell Brooks, the Waukesha mass-murderer, almost a full day before the mainstream media got around to it:

That would be this individual from a prior arrest. (He has a very long criminal record.) #Waukesha

Darrell E. Brooks, black male, late 30s is the suspect in custody in Waukesha.

Then Ngo immediately got to work, collecting evidence from Brooks’ social media accounts:

But the lefties have taken issue with this screenshot, which Ngo took from Brooks’ now-deleted Facebook page under the “Mathboi Fly” pseudonym:

You see, Brooks was actually criticizing the idea of running people over. Just ask CNN’s Daniel Dale:

This Ngô tweet is highly misleading. The “MathBoi Fly” Facebook post from 2016 is *criticism* of another post in which *a Minnesota police sergeant urged people to run over Black Lives Matter protesters.* (The officer ended up resigning. nydailynews.com/news/national/…) https://t.co/nFWimpVAlS

Darrell Edward Brooks, the man who was taken into custody by police over the #Waukesha Christmas parade mass casualty event, had posted a quote in 2016 on a now-deactivated Facebook account: “Run them over. Keep traffic flowing & don’t slow down for any of these idiots…” #BLM https://t.co/d8bYZPv8bd

That’s right: Darrell Brooks killed five people and injured 48 others by running them over with his SUV during a Christmas parade, but it’s not fair to bring up his old Facebook posts about running people over, because he was actually criticizing the idea. Somebody else said it, and it made Brooks angry. It’s “highly misleading” to think there’s anything newsworthy there.

Daniel Dale is a professional fact-checker.

Here’s an idea for you, professional fact-checker Daniel Dale: Maybe Darrell Brooks got the bright idea to run over a bunch of white people because he saw a racist cop talking about running over a bunch of black people? Maybe Brooks decided to strike first? Maybe that cop’s hate speech is what planted that insane idea in Brooks’ head?

Now, maybe that’s what happened, and maybe it isn’t. But there’s certainly evidence to support that theory. Why is it out of bounds, even as a theory?

The journalistic incuriosity this reveals is astonishing. Daniel Dale isn’t a journalist, he’s a political operative. This isn’t reporting, it’s tribalism. Dale is showing off for his buddies. He’ll actually make excuses for a mass-murderer like Darrell Brooks, just so his comrades will see him standing up to Andy Ngo.1

I keep hearing rumors that CNN’s new owner is going to clean house. John Malone wants to revert the channel back to a news network, instead of the complete mess it is now. That wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Maybe going back to telling the truth would help CNN’s ratings.

Here’s some more of the sick, demented stuff Darrell Brooks posted before he murdered a bunch of people:

Darrell Brooks hates white people and was angry about racist cops who talk about running over BLM supporters. Brooks then ran over a bunch of white people during a Christmas parade. If you want to insist these things are unrelated, go ahead. I’ll be over here in the real world.

The libs have invented a motive for Kyle Rittenhouse’s actions, even though all the evidence shows he acted in self-defense. And now they’re denying a strong motive for Darrell Brooks’ actions, outright rejecting any evidence that it could’ve been a hate crime. They abhor the truth like poison.

Here’s another example of that very thing, from syndicated political cartoonist2 Ed Hall:

Get it? Because if Kyle Rittenhouse were black, he’d be dead.

Except Darrell Brooks just killed more people than Rittenhouse did, it absolutely wasn’t in self-defense, and the cops took him alive. But that doesn’t count, because the libs have a narrative and any facts that don’t fit are just discarded.

I’ve only seen a few clips of Rittenhouse’s interview with Tucker Carlson, but I’m impressed by his calm, articulate demeanor:

Rittenhouse supports BLM, huh? Well, that’ll throw the race-baiters for a loop. The people who are determined to hate Rittenhouse will just say he’s lying, of course. Because, um… supporting BLM is gonna score him a lot of points with Fox News viewers?
