Imagine a world where narcissists gain control of the most powerful country in the world, slowly, overtime so that hardly anyone realizes it. To gain this power over time, what if they created a system of contractors who would gain lucrative funds from Federal Government Departments and funnel these funds back to people and organizations who would help keep them in power in perpetuity.

********Then, imagine that while this is going on, they fiercely push abortion as a right, trans mutilations of children (in many cases rendering them unable to reproduce), and embrace anti-family programs within government, eroding the parental rights and responsibilities in communities all across said country**********

Once this group of narcissists achieves a drastic reduction in birthrates among the citizenry, they encourage a mass migration of foreigners into the country illegally, provides them funding, encourages anchor babies so they can stay in this country “legally.”

Now the narcissists turn to the election systems. They erode voter identification laws, implement mail-in ballot and ballot harvesting initiatives using their operatives across the country. They install fellow narcissists in state legislatures across the country to appoint ballot watchers and stuff ballot boxes with votes for their candidates. How loud and mad do you think this group of narcissists would be if someone managed to gain power in spite of all these things against them?

Imagine the gnashing of teeth as the corruption begins to be exposed, the funding is dismantled, the fake voters are deported, the voter rolls are purged of dead people, the abortion push is drastically throttled, the mutilation of children outlawed, and parental rights supported and affirmed. We are viewing it in real time and it makes me very happy!

Thank you

D.C. Federal Judges Join the Resistance
Overriding the President’s Control of the Department of Justice

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell (Nice when PID is provided)

Some judges have seized upon a new form of resistance to President Trump’s policies and agenda — Refusing to dismiss criminal cases with prejudice in accordance with the President’s instructions to the Attorney General. Three of the eight federal district judges in D.C. who are on senior status,1 joined by one of their colleagues, have tried to undercut Presidential authority in this manner.

This article will consider one such case before Senior Judge Beryl A. Howell. Judge Howell has frustrated the President’s clear intent by refusing to dismiss indictments against Nicholas DeCarlo and Nicholas Ochs with prejudice. She did this despite the fact that, as she admitted, “It has long been settled that the Judiciary generally lacks authority to second-guess those Executive determinations, much less to impose its own charging preferences.”

In her explanatory Memorandum and Order (“Memorandum”) Judge Howell not only refused to dismiss the indictments with prejudice but went out of her way to take gratuitous and irrelevant shots at the President and the pardons he granted pursuant to his Constitutional powers.

The Presidential Amnesty Proclamation

The date he was inaugurated, President Trump a signed a Proclamation that essentially granted amnesty for all “offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.” The Proclamation addressed separately defendants who had been convicted and those who had been indicted but not convicted. Of those who had been convicted, they either had their sentences commuted “to time served as of January 20, 2025,” or were granted a “full, complete and unconditional pardon” for their offenses.

However, there were other defendants who were still subject to pending indictments for which there were not yet final convictions. For these, the President’s Proclamation directed the Attorney General “to pursue dismissal with prejudice to the government of all pending indictments against individuals for their conduct related to the events at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.” (bolded emphasis added)

The “dismissal with prejudice to the government” clause was intended to ensure that the government would never again be able to prosecute this category of defendants who were not yet burdened with a final order of conviction. It was the functional equivalent of a pardon. Judge Howell has now done everything she can to thwart that Presidential intent.

Biden Admin Quietly Funneled $3 Mil to Palestinian Government ‘Security Forces’ for Weapons Training—After Its Members Carried Out Attacks on Israelis.

Trump admin ‘must conduct rigorous oversight of this type of funding, which the Biden administration quietly noticed at the 11th hour,’ says Rep. McCaul

The Biden administration, weeks before leaving power, funneled more than $3 million in taxpayer cash to the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF), according to a nonpublic notice transmitted to Congress that was reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. Those funds allowed the PASF to conduct “firearms and ammunition” training—and came after its members carried out scores of attacks against Israelis.

The Jan. 3 funding notice outlined more than $20 million in funding for regional security projects, including those in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Jordan. Just over $3 million of these funds were earmarked for the PASF, which the United States is training to handle security operations in the war-torn Gaza Strip. As it does so, the PASF is reportedly seeking more than $680 million from the American government over the next four years.

That spending—both past and, potentially, future—is drawing concerns in both Israel and Washington, D.C., given PASF’s deep and longstanding ties to terrorism carried out against Israelis.

PASF members conducted more than 1,500 terror attacks against Israel in 2023—attacks that came with the Palestinian government’s backing, according to a Palestinian Media Watch investigation shared with the Free Beacon. More than 60 percent “of the number of Martyrs in the West Bank” are affiliated with the Palestinian Fatah movement, which sponsors the PASF, “and most of them are members of the [PA] Security Forces or their sons,” the investigation found. Nearly 400 Palestinians imprisoned for terrorism are known PASF members.

Former Federal Reserve Adviser Indicted on Espionage Charges

Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin announced Friday that the Department of Justice has indicted a former senior adviser for the Federal Reserve on espionage charges.

Sixty-three-year-old John Harold Rogers of Virginia was arrested Friday and charged with conspiracy to commit economic espionage and with making false statements. Rogers allegedly conspired to steal FRB trade secrets in order to aid China.

In the federal civil service, it’s a difficult task to terminate employment as it can take several instances of a problem that an employee doesn’t resolve before they’re terminated, however, insubordination is one of the things that management can, and will quickly send someone packing for, especially if they’re in the ‘excepted service’ which is – mostly – management. I suspect this guy will soon be g-o-n-e.

BLUF
Unlike Trump 1.0, when bureaucrats frequently ignored the administration and stymied its agenda, this time around, the lesson has been learned. Resistance is being met with immediate action. Gottlieb may very well hit the leftist podcast circuit, dining out on his reputation as a “martyr” and “truth teller,” but the lesson will not be lost on other people who aren’t anxious to follow that path.

The Resistance Attempts a Coup at USAID and It Doesn’t Go Well.

The director of employee and labor relations at the US Agency for International Development has been placed on administrative leave after a stunning refusal to follow directions given by President Trump’s transition team.

Tuesday, acting USAID Administrator Jason Gray ordered nearly 60 senior bureaucrats placed on indefinite administrative leave for taking actions to evade Trump’s executive orders; see Trump Suspends As Many As 60 Senior Bureaucrats for Trying to Evade His Executive Orders – RedState. In a memo, Gray said, “We have identified several actions within USAID that appear to be designed to circumvent the president’s executive orders and the mandate from the American people.“ As a result, we have placed a number of USAID employees on administrative leave with full pay and benefits until further notice while we complete our analysis of these actions.”

Gary Whittenberger, Reducing Gun Violence in the United States

Gary Whittenberger is a retired psychologist and freelance writer known for his thoughtful contributions to discussions on psychology, philosophy, science, and religion. Holding a doctorate in clinical psychology from Florida State University, he worked as a psychologist in federal prisons for 23 years. Whittenberger is an active member of the freethought community and co-directed the Tallahassee Freethinkers’ Forum. He has authored several works, including God Wants YOU to be an Atheist, and has written for Skeptic Magazine, Free Inquiry, and other publications. His articles often tackle complex topics such as personhood, free will, and gun violence prevention.

Scott Douglas Jacobsen: Quick backdrop questions, what have the work in clinical psychology, in federal prisons, and freethought activism, taught about the American culture’s psyche around guns–the heart of the matter?

Dr. Gary WhittenbergerScott, I want to thank you for this opportunity to talk about my article “A Comprehensive Program for Reducing Gun Violence in the US” which appeared in the October/November 2024 issue of Free Inquiry magazine.  Also, I compliment you on the great work you are doing with The Good Men Project.  We need more journalism, analysis, and commentary like that.

Turning to your question:  I think Americans have an obsession with guns which is unhealthy.  I think it has roots in the founding of a new country, exploring and settling the western frontier, and rebellion against old governments, all of which occurred a few centuries ago.  Fear and anger at levels higher in our country than what are found in other countries stimulate the ownership, purchase, and use of firearms.  Part of the solution is to lower these emotions and part of it is to reduce the access to and the number of firearms in the country.

Jacobsen: In the Uvalde case, what were the failures of law enforcement?

Whittenberger: Law enforcement officers failed to confront the shooter as soon as they could have and should have.  In my opinion, whenever there are at least two officers who have firearms on the scene, they should call for backup but begin to engage the shooter.  This response needs to be stipulated in policies, laws, and training.  Officers who do not have the willingness or courage to act to defend others in stressful situations should not be in law enforcement.

Jacobsen: How can gun regulations balance with Second Amendment rights?

WhittenbergerAs I said in my article, the Second Amendment needs to be amended.  Although American citizens should have a right to possess, own, and use guns, this right should not be absolute.  The right should be regulated, restricted, and limited for the common good, especially to minimize unjustified aggression.  I have suggested that ordinary citizens be limited to three firearms.  Nobody needs an armory.  I think “military type” guns should be held from the public.  I believe that five different groups of persons should be prohibited from having guns.  Any ethical, well-trained, and responsible firearms user has no good reason to oppose these reforms.

Jacobsen: What is the importance of considering mental health in approach reduction of gun violence?

WhittenbergerI think it is extremely important, but I don’t agree with the more conservative pundits who think it should be the only approach to reducing gun violence.  The more guns there are in a society, the more unjustified gun violence there will be.  The more guns are accessible to people likely to misuse them, the more unjustified violence there will be.  Yes, treating mental health problems is necessary, but not sufficient.  We need to identify, diagnose, and treat mental health problems early, during childhood, and this is why we need so many more social workers, counselors, and psychologists to work with children in our schools.

Jacobsen: What community intervention efforts can mitigate gun-related violence?

WhittenbergerI think politicians, office holders, nonprofits, and all citizens of a community should strongly advocate for and support gun control policies, as I have outlined in my article.  We all need to commit ourselves to slightly reducing our freedoms to possess, own, and use guns in order to reduce gun violence and promote the common good.  Give up a little in order to gain so much more!  I support buy-back programs conducted by cities and counties.

Jacobsen: What other training or preparedness might help law enforcement agencies?

Whittenberger: Law enforcement agencies need to improve both their employee selection procedures and their training.  Officers need to use their agency-issued firearms in a prudent, rational, ethical, and legal manner.   Over-use and under-use of firearms by officers are both problems which need to be corrected.  We saw in the Uvalde situation that officers took up to 75 minutes to mount their counter-attack, which was way too long.  On the other hand, we have seen in other kinds of situations that officers are too prone to use their firearms too quickly to resolve a situation.

Jacobsen: What other reasonable and unreasonable approaches to the reduction of gun violence are being proposed other than, for example, pray?

WhittenbergerI think I have mentioned most of the reasonable approaches in my article.  Banning firearms for private citizens in the US would be an unreasonable approach.  I think more than half the citizens do have legitimate uses for the ownership of firearms for protection, hunting, and target practice, but ownership of firearms by some citizens, of military-grade guns, and more than three guns is not reasonable.

Jacobsen: What would be a reasonable estimate of efficacy of these proposition to reduce gun violence?

WhittenbergerI think full implementation of the practical steps I have recommended would reduce gun violence by 90%.

Jacobsen: What might be some criticisms of your approach?

WhittenbergerA common criticism is “Implementation of your recommended gun regulation program would lead to the banning and confiscation of guns among private citizens.”  This is a slippery slope argument which is used to scare people and arouse resistance to gun regulation.  My approach is a common sense and gradual approach which would not be fully in place for about 75 years.  And yet, reductions in gun violence will gradually dissipate over that time period.   Responsible users of firearms should be willing to sacrifice just a little of their freedom for the common good which comes from a reduction of gun violence in our society.

Jacobsen: What might be barriers to implementation at the state of the federal level?

Whittenberger:   Extreme selfishness, fear, the NRA, and owners of large numbers of guns would be barriers to implementation.

Jacobsen: Thank you for the opportunity and your time, Gary.

Whittenberger:   You are welcome.  And thank you for bringing wider exposure to my article and my many ideas about gun control.  Gun violence is rampant in our society and we need to solve the problem!  “Thoughts and prayers” for victims just don’t cut it.  Please continue your excellent work with The Good Men Project.

The Most Dangerous ‘Gun Control’ Argument You Will Ever Read

We don’t make this statement lightly, but the folks over at Giffords and Brady have filed an amicus brief in a matter, challenging all of Maryland’s new sensitive places, that actually argues that the First Amendment and the Second Amendment cannot coexist, and because of that, the 2A will always take a back seat to the 1A. Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses one of the craziest and most dangerous pro-gun control argument you could ever imagine in the matter of Kipke v. Moore (aka Novotny v. Moore). Hundreds March for ‘Intifada’ in NYC Hours After Attacks in New Orleans, Las Vegas

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES - DECEMBER 21: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gather to march throu
You can not make this up……

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters marched in New York City on New Year’s Day for “intifada,” blocking Sixth Avenue in Manhattan just hours after a terror attack in New Orleans, Louisiana, and an explosion in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Times of Israel reported:

Attendees chanted “Resistance is glorious — we will be victorious,” “We will honor all our martyrs,” and “Gaza, you make us proud.” They carried signs that said “Zionism is cancer,” “No war on Iran,” and “End all US aid to Israel.”

“There is only one solution — Intifada revolution,” they chanted, using a common refrain at anti-Israel rallies in the US. “Intifada,” Arabic for “uprising,” is associated with the Second Intifada, a period of terror attacks in Israel in the early 2000s marked by suicide bombings.…

A handful of pro-Israel counter-protesters showed up to wave Israeli and American flags on the sidelines of the demonstration, while heckling the anti-Israel activists. A Jewish retiree led chants of “Get a job” directed at the protesters.

The New Orleans attack took place in the early hours of the morning, when Shamsud Din Jabbar, who had reportedly pledged loyalty to ISIS, rammed his car into a crown on Bourbon Street, killing more than a dozen people.

In Las Vegas, a Tesla cybertruck that was packed with explosives exploded outside the entrance to the Trump Hotel, killing at least one person and injuring several more. The suspect in the latter attack died in the explosion, police said.

An ‘honest politician’ is one who stays bought.

Biden Pardons Three Chinese Spies

In a controversial move that has undermined the United States, outgoing President Joe Biden granted clemency to a convicted Chinese spy, raising alarms about national security and the integrity of his leadership. Critics argue that this decision reflects a troubling pattern of leniency toward adversaries while undermining the concerns of American citizens who prioritize safety and sovereignty.

As the lame-duck Biden-Harris Administration faces scrutiny over its handling of foreign relations and domestic policy, the president’s decision to pardon convicted criminals has become a focal point for those questioning his commitment to protecting the interests of the nation amidst global tensions.

This week, Biden announced that he would pardon three Chinese nationals in a hostage exchange deal. According to a National Security Council spokesperson, three Americans are being wrongfully held by Beijing.

Yanjun Xu and Ji Chaoqun, convicted of espionage against the U.S., were granted clemency last month. This move raises serious questions about Biden’s role as POTUS to uphold that nation’s integrity of our justice system. In addition, Shanlin Jin, who faced convictions for possessing over 47,000 images of child pornography while pursuing his doctorate at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, will also be pardoned. This undoubtedly undermines the U.S. and sends a concerning message about foreign nationals in our country.

Five days after Biden signed the clemencies,  the Chinese government released the three Americans. Mark Swidan, a businessman from Texas, who was arrested in 2012 and accused of drug-related offenses; Kai Li, who had been held in the communist country since 2016 on espionage charges; and John Leung, who was sentenced in 2023 on spying charges.

This comes as Biden granted pardons to 1,500 people unrelated to the hostage deal.

The Bluegeoisie

THERE’S a neologism that ought to stick. From @CliftonDuncan on X:

The Bluegeoisie can never come back to the center.

Everyone is now fully aware of how contemptuous, how bereft of common sense, how dishonest and incompetent they are. It won’t work.

They can never build “their own Joe Rogan.” The notion is ridiculous–not just because it evinces their tendency toward top-down control, but because their cult renders intellectual, political and philosophical exploration outside of narrow ideological parameters impossible.

These people have psychotic meltdowns, blacklist peers, and cut off relatives over politics. They’re incapable of empathizing with anyone outside their congregation.

For all their fetishizing of credentials, their masturbatory exaltation of their educations, they’re violently allergic to intellectual curiosity–how on earth COULD they “build” their own Rogan, or a Lex Fridman, whose curiosity and openness are part of their brand?

How COULD they lower themselves to understand why they’re so despised?

Look at these people now, a month out from the election. They’re losers who are still lost, liars who keep lying. They’re throwing tantrums. Pointing fingers. Doubling and tripling down. The lack of reflection is astonishing.

They haven’t learned anything because they can’t learn anything. Learning would threaten their careers, reputations and relationships. Learning would require them to abandon the hubris that defines them.

They’ll never do that.

And even if they did, who would believe them, or be willing to listen, after they spent decades calling everyone racists and sexists, fascists and Nazis? Who’s going to forget such long-term abuse and slander?

We know power corrupts. The pendulum has now swung forcefully in a different direction. We need strong, sensible, rational opposition to check the excesses of those now assuming power.

Where the hell is it going to come from?

Excellent observation, and good question.

Former Secret Service Agent Issues Dire Warning of Possible Attack

The Secret Service has taken a lot of heat lately, most particularly since the July 13th attempt on the life of Donald Trump, who is now the president-elect and, in many ways, acting president. A lot of that heat is justified; on July 13th, they only narrowly missed the disgrace of having lost a principal protectee.

Former Secret Service agent Richard Staropoli is worried that there will be another attempt on the president-elect — and that it may be one that the Secret Service isn’t prepared to counter.

“I’m not highly confident at all. The Secret Service that you see out there today is not the Secret Service of yesteryear. Somewhere along the line they’ve completely dropped the ball.

That testimony that you saw today was purely a smokescreen to cover up the shortcomings of a politically compromised agency. It should never have gotten to that point,” Starapoli said. “This whole talk about all these drones and these UAVs, hey, that’s all great, but you need to get back to the basics.

What made the Secret Service great was its ability to put human intelligence, manpower on the streets and effectively secure the environment to make it safe for the president of the United States. I don’t see that here.”

“As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’d be alone in saying that I certainly can see something happening between now and inauguration day,” he continued. “And it’s not going to be some 20-year-old kid on the roof of a building that’s allowed to get within 100 yards. It’s going to be something of a much bigger magnitude and I don’t think the Secret Service is anywhere equipped to handle that situation.”

Mr. Staropoli may well have a good point.

Forget home-grown crackpots with rifles for a moment. Imagine if a group backed by the resources of a nation-state, like, say, the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism, were to decide to take out an American president. They would have manpower and resources far beyond the reach of said home-gown crackpots. Imagine if someone on that July 13th roof had been aiming at Donald Trump, not with a rifle, but with an RPG. No fortuitous turn of the head would have made any difference in that scenario.

I can think of any number of other possible scenarios, but I won’t describe them here. No point in possibly giving any ideas to any goblins who might stumble across this.

The Secret Service seriously needs to step up its game here, assuming they haven’t already started wargaming just such a scenario. They need to start considering the possibility of a military-scaled assault on the president or other senior officials. If anyone thinks I’m being paranoid about that possibility, bear in mind that millions of unknown, unscreened, young, unattached, military-age men have flooded into the country across our wide-open borders, and if they can smuggle in fentanyl and cocaine, they can smuggle in other things.

And they should be considering the likely targets. Joe Biden is probably in little danger. As we used to say about short-timers in the Army, he is so short he can limbo dance under a door and is non compos mentis in any case.

But Donald Trump? That’s a different story.

Feds using banks to surveil Americans’ financial data without warrants, House Judiciary says
The committee reported that Feds asked banks to search private transactions for terms like ‘MAGA,’ ‘Trump,’ and ‘Biden’

FIRST ON FOX: Federal law enforcement has been manipulating the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) system to gain access to Americans’ financial information without warrants or probable cause, the House Judiciary Committee said Friday.

The panel and its Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released its interim report, first obtained by Fox News Digital, which details its findings.

The committee said in the report that the FBI “has manipulated” the SAR’s filing process to treat financial institutions “as de facto arms of law enforcement, issuing ‘requests’ without legal process, that amount to demands for information related to certain persons or activities it considers ‘suspicious.'”

“With narrow exception, federal law does not permit law enforcement to inquire into financial institutions’ customer information without some form of legal process,” the report states. “The FBI circumvents this process by tipping off financial institutions to ‘suspicious’ individuals and encouraging these institutions to file a SAR — which does not require any legal process — and thereby provide federal law enforcement with access to confidential and highly sensitive information.”

The committee said that, in doing so, the FBI “gets around the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act,” which specifies that it is a bank’s responsibility to file a SAR whenever it identifies a “suspicious transaction relevant to a possible violation of law or regulation.”

The committee acknowledged that “at least one financial institution requested legal process from the FBI for information it was seeking,” but noted that “all too often the FBI appeared to receive no pushback.”

“In sum, by providing financial institutions with lists of people that it views as generally ‘suspicious’ on the front end, the FBI has turned this framework on its head and contravened the Fourth Amendment’s requirements of particularity and probable cause,” the report states.

The committee added that their oversight of “financial surveillance” had shed “new light on the decaying state of Americans’ financial privacy and the federal government’s widespread, warrantless surveillance programs.”

The committee began their investigation into government-led financial surveillance earlier this year, after a whistleblower disclosed that following the events of Jan. 6, 2021, Bank of America “voluntarily and without legal process” provided the FBI with a list of names of all individuals who used a Bank of America credit or debit card in the Washington, D.C., region around that time.

Fox News Digital first reported in March that federal investigators had asked banks to search and filter customer transactions by using terms like “MAGA” and “Trump” as part of an investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, warning that purchases of “religious texts” could indicate “extremism.”

The committee also obtained documents that indicate officials suggested that banks query transactions with keywords like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops and more.

A source familiar with the documents told Fox News Digital at the time that while Jan. 6 was the “impetus” for the queries and searches, none of the documents the committee had obtained revealed any specific time frames or limitations for banks searching for customer transactions with the terms. The source said the federal government used the information for investigations beyond Jan. 6.

“In the days and weeks after January 6, 2021, the FBI coordinated with the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to encourage financial institutions across the country to scour their data and file SARs on hundreds of Americans, if not more, without any clear criminal nexus,” the report says.
