Did John Kerry Commit a Crime When He Spilled Intelligence Secrets to Iran?

I mean, it’s not a headline that would scream ‘John Kerry is a bumbling idiot.’ It simply reads: “Iran’s Foreign Minister, in Leaked Tape, Says Revolutionary Guards Set Policies.” Hey, being that Iran is the largest state-sponsor of terrorism, that’s not quite shocking. What is shocking is what’s buried towards the end of this story featuring Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, which our friend Ed Morrisey wrote about over at Hot Air earlier today. John Kerry is at it again, spilling secrets to Iran about covert actions against them.

It’s literally at the end where the publication discusses the rocket attack that was launched as a US base in Iraq after Donald Trump decided to turn Iran’s top terrorist, General Qasem Soleimani into an ashtray in January of 2020 (via NYT) [emphasis mine]:

On the night that Iran decided to retaliate against the United States for the killing of General Suleimani, two Quds Force commanders went to see the Iraqi prime minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to inform him that in about 45 minutes Iran would be firing missiles at a military base where U.S. troops were stationed, Mr. Zarif said. The Americans knew about the strike before he did.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria at least 200 times, to his astonishment, Mr. Zarif said.

Come again? This isn’t the first time Kerry has acted against the interests of the United States. After Donald Trump won the 2016 election, Kerry allegedly engaged in ‘shadow diplomacy’ to keep the shoddy Obama-era Iran Deal on life support at least. Hey, isn’t this a Logan Act violation?

Remember, these are the Left’s rules.

Joe Biden Needs a Dose of Reality—No One Needs His Permission to Celebrate the 4th of July.

President Biden says that if more of you rubes don’t go get a jab in the arm, he may not allow you to have three people over, masked and outside, on the 4th of July. Or whatever ridiculous configuration the health bureaucracy decides to tell you is “safe.” Perhaps liberals in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco are still taking these proclamations seriously. Nobody else is.

“Back on March 11, I outlined a vision of what America could look like by the Fourth of July — an America that was much closer to normal life that we left behind more than a year ago,” Biden said.

He warned: “To celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June. We all need to mask up until the number of cases goes down, until everyone has a chance to get their shot.”

To be clear, not everyone is getting the vaccine. The phrasing should always be “until everyone who wants to receive a vaccine has the opportunity.” Biden and ghouls like Dr. Fauci do not seem to understand that you can be pro-vaccine and think the speed and efficacy with which they were developed is a miracle while making a personal risk-assessed decision, in conjunction with your doctor, not to receive one.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day Earth Day everybody! You can see how it is possible to confuse the two, since Earth Day is the same every year—we’re doomed unless you hand over complete power to the government to manage people and resources.

QED: On Earth Day 1970, CBS’s Walter Cronkite Panicked: ‘Act or Die!’

15 spectacularly stupid predictions from the first Earth Day

Keep these predictions in mind when you hear the same predictions made today. They’ve been making the same predictions for 51 years. And they’re going to continue making them until…well…forever, or  until people finally get fed up enough with them and get out the tar and feathers, if not something more ‘permanent’.

Again with the “Not True Marxism”.

Short one today.

I’ve been listening to The Gulag Archipelago on Audible. I have to do it in bits and pieces with frequent breaks because my imagination is too good at turning the words of the narrator into an emotional visceral gut-punch of the true horror that lies behind them. I can only take so much at a time.

Too much darkness even for me.

So folk wanting to try to “sell” me on Communism/Socialism can just kiss right off. Doesn’t matter if this was “true socialism” or not. Doesn’t matter how you try to define “true Marxism” to make it “not this.” What matters is that every time folk selling Marxism to the masses gain power you end up with horrors like this.

Every. Time.

It has been said that insanity consists of doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Well, that’s neither a legally nor medically valid definition, but there is an element of truth to it. If you keep insisting on doing the same thing, which has always had the same results, and are all “This time for sure”, then there is something deeply, seriously wrong with you.

So take your socialism/communism, fold it so it’s all sharp corners, cover it in capsaicin oil, and shove it where the sun never shines.

That is all.

While these always deserve careful attention, overreaching bills like this are usually nothing more than a combination of political grandstanding and attempts to move the ‘Overton window’ to make less draconian bills appear more palatable.

Below The Radar – Handgun Purchaser Licensing Act of 2021

United States – -(AmmoLand.com)- Bad ideas are hard to kill, especially in Congress. One of the worst has been this notion of licensing gun owners at the federal level. This was something anti-Second Amendment extremists have wanted since 1968 – and you can read how angry Lyndon Baines Johnson was that such provisions were not in the Gun Control Act of 1968.

So, for over five decades, Second Amendment supporters have thwarted this goal of our enemies (and people who wish to inflict injustice on us are rightly described as enemies), who think that treating law-abiding gun owners like criminals is the answer to the misuse of firearms. We know it isn’t, as the Brevard County Sheriff lays out. But that hasn’t stopped anti-Second Amendment extremists from trying.

While Sheila Jackson Lee drew a lot of attention with HR 127, the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act, a number of other licensing schemes have shown up in past Congresses, and they will likely show up in the current Congress, and in Congresses in the future.

One of those bad ideas that keep turning up is the Handgun Purchaser Licensing Act of 2021, known as S 770. We covered a similar version that was introduced in 2019 by Senator Chris Van Hollen and Representative Jamie Raskin. Van Hollen is again the Senate sponsor of this assault on the dignity and reputation of those who wish to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Van Hollen, of course, doesn’t even tell states to impose it. He instead tries to bribe them with federal grants. It’s yet another insult from these Bloomberg stooges who seem eager to cast blame for high rates of violent crime on everyone but those who are really responsible.

Here’s the truth: Less than a fifth of the states in the Union require any form of licensing scheme. If anything, the overwhelming consensus (at least, what seems to be the consensus) among the states is that there is no need to license firearms owners at all. States like New Jersey, Illinois, and Massachusetts are the real outliers when it comes to firearms ownership. Those schemes don’t stop firearms from getting into the hands of bad guys.

In addition, what was noted on the web pages of Ammoland back then still applies. This legislative proposal is pretty much asking to create tragedies like the one involving Carol Bowne. Anti-Second Amendment extremists often claim they are trying to save lives, but it was an onerous law they want to extend nationwide that cost one woman her life at the hands of her abusive ex.

Second Amendment supporters should contact their Representative and Senators and politely urge them to oppose S 770, and instead seek to override state waiting periods and licensing schemes. They also should support the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action and Political Victory Fund to ensure that the current anti-Second Amendment regimes in the House, Senate, and White House are defeated at the ballot box as soon as possible.

Some opine he’s setting his besotted self up for a presidential run in ’24.

John Boehner Says Gun Control Would Be Top Priority ‘if’ He Were Speaker

Former House Speaker John Boehner (R) indicated Sunday that gun control would be a top priority “if” he were Speaker now.

During an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, Boehner focused on what he thinks is the importance of reaching across the aisle.

The segment began with CNN’s Dana Bash claiming there have been “47 mass shootings in the United States in just over the last month.”

Bash provided no substantiation for the claim of 47 mass shootings. Instead, she just looked at Boehner and said, “Polls show that vast majorities of Americans support at least some new gun restrictions.”

She then noted that gun control was not passed after Sandy Hook when Boehner was Speaker, and asked if gun control would be a “top priority” now, were he Speaker again.

Boehner expressed hope that Republicans and Democrats will find “common ground” and affirmed it would be top priority “if” he were Speaker.

Breitbart News pointed to a Rasmussen Poll that showed 51 percent of likely voters believed more gun control would have have prevented the March 22, 2021, Boulder attack.

On April 15, 2021, Breitbart News reported a McLaughlin poll showing 72 percent of general election voters support the Second Amendment.

The McLaughlin poll also showed 73.4 percent of general election voters agreed that “the Founders understood the importance of law-abiding citizens right to legally own firearms for things like hunting, sport and personal protection.”

White House press sec defends Chinese Communist Party talking points about ‘racist America’

In a press briefing Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked by reporters about a comment made by UN Ambassador for the United States Linda Thomas-Greenfield earlier this week that said US founding principles were “woven with white supremacy.”

“The US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield, talking to a group on Wednesday, said that white supremacy is woven into our founding documents and principals. This statement is getting widely criticized as essentially parroting Chinese communist party talking points. So is the President going to remove her from her position as the representative before that body to promote United States values?” a reporter asked Psaki.

“Is the president going to remove an African American woman with decades of experience in the foreign service who’s widely respected around the world from her position as ambassador to the UN?”

Psaki shot back at the reporter. “He is not.” “He is proud to have her in that position,” Psaki continued. “She is not only qualified, he believed she is exactly the right person in that role at this moment in time.”

Despite not having seen her comments, Psaki appeared to agree with Thomas-Greenfield’s statement.
“I have not seen her comments, I will say that there’s no question that there has been a history of institutional racism in this country and that doesn’t require the UN ambassador to confirm that.”
“Does the president think our founding documents are racist?” asked the reporter.

“I would say that I will leave my comments to speak for themselves and certainly I think most people recognize the history of systemic racism in our country and she was speaking to that,” Psaki said seemingly dodging the question.
In a statement released Wednesday, Thomas-Greenfield said “When we raise issues of equity and justice at the global scale we have to approach them with humility… We have to acknowledge that we are an imperfect union and have been since the beginning and every day we strive to make ourselves more perfect.”

Thomas-Greenfield also spoke to her past experiences with racism and how she has seen “how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles.”

The Coming Backlash

So, a criminal with a warrant who resists arrest meets up with an incompetent government employee who can’t tell a Glock from a taser, then there are Democrat riots, and what’s the result? You must be disarmed.

If you’re looking for logical logic, keep on looking. If you understand the logic of power, you came to the right place.

Facts don’t matter.

Evidence is racist.

2+2=4 means you’re a transphobe.

This is about power, people. Their power over you.

Understand that you can’t reason your way out of this. We’re not going to explain to our enemies why it’s inefficient, ineffective, or unAmerican to do the things they are trying to do. You might as well try to teach your terrier particle physics with a thick, juicy ribeye in sitting his bowl in front of him.

Tangent: Pardon me for potentially misgendering your pooch.

Back to my point. There is no point, except power. They want to control you. If they can’t they want to destroy you. Everything – and I mean everything – is bent to that objective.

That’s why the media lies to you.

That’s why they selectively prosecute.

That’s why movie stars lecture you.

That’s why they want to take your guns.

That’s why they want to cheat in elections.

That’s why critical race theory is a thing.

You, disenfranchised.

You, despised.

You, a serf.

That’s it. That’s the goal. So, trying to reason your way out of it is useless.

A “VERY BEAUTIFUL” ATTACK

We’re learning more about Israel’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facility at Natanz. Initially, the event was reported as a cyber attack and cyber may, in fact, have played a part. However, explosives were the main component.

The Jerusalem Post reports that the attack was carried out through a device smuggled into the facility and detonated remotely. The explosives reportedly took out both the primary and backup electrical systems. (At Natanz, the electrical substation reportedly is 40 to 50 meters below ground.) The initial explosion is believed to have set off secondary explosions, causing even greater damage.

An attack last July was carried out with explosives smuggled into a centrifuge assembly facility at the site. The explosives reportedly were embedded in a heavy table that was brought into the facility. An Iranian official says that this time a desk was used.

Iran’s Top Nuclear Site Reportedly Hit By Cyber Attack, Regime Claims Electrical “Accident” Took Out Brand New Centrifuges

A day after Iran launched advanced centrifuges at Natanz nuclear facility, the site had been struck by an electrical “accident,” Iranian state media says. The electrical grid at the nuclear site crashed a day after the new centrifuges were plugged in, an Iranian spokesman claimed.

On Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani unveiled the centrifuges meant for producing enriched uranium, a key component of a nuclear bomb, amid televised fanfare marking the so-called “national nuclear day.”

There are indications of an Iranian cover up of the incident considering that regime officials and state-run media did not reveal further details or the extent of the “accident.”

Israeli media also contradicted the official Iranian account. “The incident at Natanz on Sunday morning was not an “accident” and the damage is much graver than what Iran is presenting to the public, the Jerusalem Post disclosed.

The incident may have been caused by yet another cyber attack at one of Iran’s “most secure” nuclear sites site. “Based on reports, it seems that the so-called accident was caused by a cyber attack,” the newspaper added. Around 2010, the site was hit by malware that destroyed centrifuges and dealt a major blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Everybody Here Hates the Media, and Everybody Owns a Gun

I’ve been writing a series for The Stream on the 2018 political hit job that tried to destroy me. No such retelling of that dark time would be complete without recalling the role played by my buddy “Rick.”

To recap: On September 16 2018, the Washington Post published a profile of Christine Blasey Ford. She claimed that Brett Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when the two were in high school in 1982. She said that I was in the room where the assault allegedly took place. The allegation roiled the nation.

The media mostly acted as if they were Ford’s hired publicists. She leaned, in turn, on an opposition researcher named Keith Koegler. According to The Education of Brett Kavanaugh, Koegler had

spent many hours that summer poring over news coverage of the nomination process, biographical information about Kavanaugh, and writings and videos produced by Mark Judge. In combing through YouTube, articles, and social networks, Koegler had learned more about the house parties … and the lexicon of 1980s Georgetown Prep than he had ever thought he would care to know.

I will recount this entire Salem witch-trial nightmare in a book I’m writing.

‘Woke’ politics isn’t a liberation movement. It’s the State Religion of the the oligarchs. And this is one of the priesthood issuing marching orders.

CEOs are the new lawmakers

American CEOs, forced into politics by cultural trends and staff demands in recent years, are hitting a new phase — actual lawmakers and rule-shapers.

Why it matters: Every CEO has been hit by the radical transformation of what the country demands of its corporations. And with each controversy comes CEOS scrambling, sometimes clumsily, to handle a power many would rather not have.

It’s not just Georgia: Corporate America is under growing pressure to put its muscle behind voting rights around the country, Axios’ Courtenay Brown and Sara Fischer write.

Texas is shaping up to be the next big battleground: American Airlines, based in Fort Worth, said in a statement it is “strongly opposed” to a state bill with “provisions that limit voting rights.” Dell CEO Michael Dell tweeted against another voting bill.
Between the lines: Employees and customers are increasingly looking to corporations to take on a bigger role in social and political issues. Many of them have leaned into that role — and gotten results.

Big companies, entertainers and ultimately the NBA and NCAA canceled big-ticket events in North Carolina after the state passed its anti-LGBTQ “bathroom bill” in 2016. The state lost roughly $3.8 billion in business and ended up repealing that measure less than a year later.
The MLB yanked the All-Star Game from Atlanta.

Pro-reform gun owner says he wants to see more background checks and restrictions

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A pro-reform gun owner says he wants to see more background checks and restrictions.

Former Bowling Green citizen Matt Robeson says he comes from a gun-owning family and is open to Biden’s proposed reform. This could include banning assault rifles and stricter background checks.

Following the mass shootings in Boulder, Colorado, and Atlanta, Georgia, lawmakers are meeting about possible gun reform legislation.

Robeson says guns that are sold or traded privately in Kentucky don’t require background checks.

A philosophical and psychological test Jim had me take many years ago was not all that revealing when it indicated my level of ‘compassion’ was lower than most other people’s. So, excuse me when I say that I hope the ‘Reverend’ Warnock actually believes this and puts his faith of salvation in his own works.
And yes, I figure you all understand exactly what I mean by that.

Sen. Warnock — a PASTOR — Preaches Damnable Heresy on Easter

On Easter Sunday, Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) — pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the same church Martin Luther King, Jr. pastored — tweeted a message that subverted the gospel of Christianity and preached utter heresy, rejected by Christian churches for more than a millennium.

“The meaning of Easter is more transcendent than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whether you are Christian or not, through a commitment to helping others we are able to save ourselves,” Warnock tweeted.

The senator received swift backlash for this heretical message.

“This is a false gospel and heresy. We cannot save ourselves. The absolute truth and only meaning of Easter that matters is the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we must accept Him as Lord and Savior. Read Romans, ‘Reverend’ Warnock,” constitutional law attorney and former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis responded.

Biden Reverses Trump Sanctions on International Criminal Court, Eroding American Sovereignty

In another reversal from the previous administration, Joe Biden on Friday lifted sanctions and visa restrictions that President Trump had imposed on officials of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The ICC is an international tribune based out of The Hague, Netherlands, and claims the jurisdiction to prosecute crimes within member nations. It deals in cases involving genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.

The Trump administration had placed penalties on the ICC because of the court’s efforts to investigate the actions of the American military in Afghanistan.

Is A “Ghost Gun” Ban Really Needed (Or Workable)?

Two Democratic congressmen are pushing a bill to limit so-called ghost guns. This runs along with a push to get President Joe Biden to restrict incomplete lower receivers, doing essentially the same thing administratively.

H.R. 1454, introduced by Reps. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) and Brad Schneider (IL-10), seeks to redefine firearm kits as actual firearms. Currently, the ATF only classifies complete lower receivers as the actual firearm, which has created a cottage industry of incomplete receivers many people purchase to finish and build their own guns.

I know, because I’ve built one myself and it was a great time.

In a tweet, Espaillat said, “The Ghost Guns Are Guns Act is critical to addressing gun violence in the United States, and will undoubtedly save lives.”

Will it really?

See, we’ve seen a lot of news reports all about how the threat from so-called “ghost guns” was growing, but there tends to be a distinct lack of numbers. The few times they’re provided, they generally show that the “problem” is minuscule in relation to the broader issue of violence in our society.

Why is that? Well, I reached out to the ATF a while back to find out.

April Langwell, the chief of the Public Affairs Division of the ATF, noted that her agency was ill-equipped to provide any insight into how many such firearms were recovered. “ATF cannot provide a number of recovered crime guns that were privately made. For a number of reasons, ATF does not believe that the number of privately made firearms that has[sic] been reported to ATF would be indicative of, or representative of, the number of privately made firearms actually recovered by law enforcement.”

Langwell notes that the ATF typically provides tracing data on recovered firearms, yet many local departments may not submit information about homebuilt, and thus unserialized, firearms.

The FBI’s Uniform Crime Report lists, among other things, the number of violent crimes committed with different weapon types. While it contains numbers for handguns, rifles, and even fists, no information breakdown shows just how many of these firearms may have been ghost guns.

The FBI did not reply to requests for whether they tracked the information despite its omission from the report.

Concealable Assault-Style Firearms!? Anti-American Democrats Drop Made-Up Scare Term

Springfield, VA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Gun Owners of America (GOA) Senior Vice President Erich Pratt rebuked a call by 109 Democrat lawmakers who recklessly seek to add a made-up and undefined category of firearms referred to as “Concealable Assault-Style Firearms” to the National Firearms Act (NFA).

“The Democrats’ anti-gun ‘logic’ is asinine,” Pratt stated. “They think that criminals, who are willing to break the law to commit murder, will somehow be stymied by gun control restrictions and voluntarily submit to them. Instead of adding to the confusing complexity of the National Firearms Act — and thereby criminalizing honest gun owners — Congress should take up and pass legislation like the Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act, which would remove Short Barreled Rifles from the NFA.”

Last Congress, the Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act was championed by then Kansas Representative Roger Marshall. However, because of his leadership on Second Amendment, gun owners in the Sunflower State elected Marshall to the United States Senate. Now, Senator Marshall is continuing his defense of the Second Amendment by introducing the Senate companion, S. 803.

Pratt concluded, “Legislation like the Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act is true ‘common sense gun legislation.’ The archaic and unconstitutional National Firearms Act is scoffed at by criminals while needlessly forcing honest gun owners to jump through hoops just to own certain types of firearms and accessories.”

Editors Note: Concealable Assault-Style Firearms is a perfect example of a fake issue in need of a fake fix to take away your God-given rights.

Schumer wants to deem all gun parts as ‘ghost guns’ “any part as a firearm”

It’s always ‘a good first step’ with them and why they call themselves “progressive” because the word implies that they’ll never stop but keep progressing onwards (to their Marxist/Commie  warped idea of ‘utopia’).
As for me, I call them ‘enemies domestic’

Chris Murphy Outlines Other Gun Laws Democrats Can Pursue Once Universal Background Checks Secured

During the March 28, 2021, airing of NBC’s Meet the Press, Sen. Chris Murphy (D) outlined additional gun control that could be considered once universal background checks are in place.

His comments came after host Chuck Todd asked if it is a “political impossibility” to secure regulation of certain categories of firearms at this time.

Murphy responded, “I think right now, our best chance to get something passed is universal background checks. And I think that the theory of the case is once we can convince Republicans that the sky doesn’t fall for you politically when you support a reasonable expansion of something like background checks, you can move on to other interventions.”

Murphy then described what some of the “other interventions” might entail, lauding the gun owner permitting system in Connecticut as well as the broadening of factors that will land an individual on the prohibited purchasers’ list.

Eight days after the October 1, 2017, Las Vegas attack, Murphy pushed universal background check legislation, referring to it as the “North Star” for Democrats, regarding gun control.

Ironically, the Las Vegas attacker passed background checks for firearms, so universal background checks would have done nothing to hinder, much less prevent, that attack.

Equally ironic, the March 22, 2021, Boulder, Colorado, attacker acquired his gun via a background check as well.

Moreover, Colorado already has universal background checks. Breitbart News noted Colorado adopted the universal checks in 2013.
