Totalitarianism has historically come in many flavors: monarchy, dictatorship, fascism, communism, theocracy, etc.

However, the one thing that EVERY totalitarian regime in world history has had in common is the fact that one of their first official acts after achieving power is to outlaw dissent.

I’m not sure how anyone cannot understand what is at stake with the upcoming midterms: liberty or totalitarianism.
