I said it when Trump first took office; The Senate should take up the ‘agreement’ just like it was a Treaty for consideration and vote it down like the crap-for-brains idea it is.
This particular problem would have been solved.
But noooo, they had to play politics with it.
Well – now we have to deal with the possibility of control of the Senate changing hands to the demoncraps.

UN Chief Calls On World Leaders to Declare ‘Climate Emergency’
Joe Biden: “The United States will rejoin the Paris Agreement on day one of my presidency.”

The United Nations Secretary-General has told world leaders to declare a climate emergency. “I call on all leaders worldwide to declare a State of Climate Emergency in their countries until carbon neutrality is reached,” UN chief Antonio Guterres said on Saturday at a summit marking the fifth anniversary of the 2015 Paris Agreement.

The UN chief’s call comes has many in the climate camp are encouraged by the hopes of a possible Democrat-led administration in the United States, media reports say. “Guterres made his call at a summit aimed at building on momentum behind the Paris deal, buoyed in recent months by … the prospect of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden bringing the United States back into the pact,” Reuters reported.

On Saturday, Joe Biden vowed to bring back Obama-era climate policies and reenter the Paris Accord when he takes office. “The United States will rejoin the Paris Agreement on day one of my presidency,” Biden said. “I’ll immediately start working with my counterparts around the world to do all that we possibly can, including by convening the leaders of major economies for a climate summit within my first 100 days in office.”

President Donald Trump withdrew from the Paris Agreement in 2017, citing its destructive effect on the U.S. manufacturing jobs and economy.

The Obama administration-sponsored climate pact is not designed to protect the environment but as a socialist project for wealth redistribution on a global scale, President Trump believes. “This agreement is less about the climate and more about other countries gaining a financial advantage over the United States,” he said at the time of the withdrawal. “The agreement is a massive redistribution of United States wealth to other countries.”

The German public broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported UN chief’s comments:

World leaders should declare a “climate emergency” in their countries to spur action to avoid catastrophic global warming, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in opening remarks at a climate summit on Saturday.

On the fifth anniversary of the 2015 Paris Agreement, more than 70 world leaders are due to address the one-day virtual meeting in the hope of galvanizing countries into stricter actions on global warming emissions.

Guterres said that current commitments across the globe did not go “far from enough” to limit temperature rises.

“Can anybody still deny that we are facing a dramatic emergency?” Guterres said. “That is why today, I call on all leaders worldwide to declare a State of Climate Emergency in their countries until carbon neutrality is reached.”

Biden, who repeatedly distanced himself from the radical green agenda during the presidential campaign, was supported by leading climate activists, including the Swedish-born climate celebrity Greta Thunberg, who ahead of the U.S. vote called millions of her social media followers to “get organized and get everyone to vote Biden.”

While Biden kept on denying backing the Green New Deal in his campaign appearances, his official website endorsed the radical climate agenda. “Biden believes the Green New Deal is a crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face,” the Biden campaign website declared.

His running mate Kamala Harris is fully on board with the agenda. As Senator she initially co-sponsored the Green New Deal which calls for ending fossil fuels and banning fracking.

While Biden now plans to hitch his wagon back to the globalist agenda by reentering the Paris agreement, President Trump remains firm in his opposition. “The Paris accord was not designed to save the environment, it was designed to kill the American economy,” he told the world leaders at the G20 summit late last month.

“I refused to surrender millions of American jobs and send trillions of Americans dollars to the world’s worst polluters and environmental offenders,” he added, referring to China, India, and leading third-world polluters who gain billions of dollars under the framework of the climate pact.
