Homeowner shoots 2 suspects breaking into vehicle in DeKalb County neighborhood
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A shooting investigation is underway in a DeKalb County neighborhood.
DeKalb County police told Channel 2 Action News at 2:35 a.m. Monday, officers received reports of a person shot at a home on Leicester Way SE.
When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot.
The identities and conditions of the shooting victims have not been released.
Police believe two people were breaking into cars when a homeowner confronted them.
One of the suspects raised a gun and pointed it at the homeowner and the homeowner shot both suspects.
Police say the homeowner is not facing charges at this time.
The two suspects are stable and remain hospitalized.Charges are pending for their arrest.
Armed robber shot during stick up on Canal Street
New Orleans Police say an armed robbery gone wrong ended with a store clerk shooting a suspect.
“The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 4700 block of Canal Street. Initial information shows a male victim located on scene with a reported gunshot wound to the hand,” Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said in an email.
Further investigation revealed that the person shot was allegedly one of the robbers. “The subject injured by gunfire is considered to be one of two reported suspects in this incident. The injured suspect was transported to a local hospital via EMS for treatment. The second suspect reportedly fled the scene.”
Looney says the call came in just before 2:00am.
An initial police report said, “Suspects entered business at location. One suspect produced handgun. Store clerk produced handgun and fired shots toward suspects, striking one suspect.” The investigation continues.
