Pelosi Comes to Slow Joe’s Rescue: ‘I Don’t Think There Should Be Any Debates’

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — the highest-ranking member of her party — said on Thursday, “I don’t think there should be any debates” between President Donald Trump and her party’s alleged nominee, Joe Biden.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Pelosi couched her remarks as a matter of dignity for the notorious hair-sniffer and plagiarist.

“I don’t think that [Biden] should dignify that conversation with Donald Trump,” Pelosi claimed.

Pelosi also admitted that “the Biden campaign thinks in a different way about this,” but a statement about refusing to debate coming from someone with her rank and influence might just set the bar low enough for Biden to weasel out.

Like much of the rest of 2020, a major presidential challenger refusing to debate the incumbent would be unprecedented, and possibly a huge turnoff for voters who already find it difficult to generate much enthusiasm for the Democrats’ cocooned standard-bearer.

“Don’t tell anyone I told you this,” Pelosi said to members of the Washington press corps while standing in front of several video cameras, “especially don’t tell Joe Biden: I don’t think that there should be any debates.”

Sure, Nancy, we’ll just keep that little nugget between you and me.

Even Dave Wiegel, that frequent pom-pom-waver for Democratic candidates, had to admit that Pelosi’s statement basically stank up Biden’s basement.

Staying Alive in the Brave New World

Michael Bane
Okay kids, let’s make some assumptions here…you are free to accept or reject them as you see fit:

• We have fully entered a new phase of “acceptable” violence. What we now see is “recreational arson,” that is, the setting of fires with the inherent risk to human life for fun. Remember when you were a kid and how thrilling setting off fireworks was for you? This is the exact some thing, kicked, as Emeril might say, up a notch.
• One major political party and their farthest left members fully support this violence, because they see it as the best chance for wholesale social change, e.g  [no Michael, that’s i.e. ]  the Socialist States of America (or some other similar euphemism for fascism, which is what we are really looking at here).
They are correct. Historically, times of massive uncertainty offers a narrow window for massive political/government change. The other side understands that this is “The Year of the Jackpot” [Refer: Robert Heinlein], and they are all-in.
• Yes, we have seen this kind of urban violence before in the late 1960s/early 1970s, but what is different this time is that in the earlier case there was among most citizens an agreement about what America was, a consensus of the exceptionality of the U.S., if you will. That does not exist today. Rather, well before the China Virus and the riots, the two Americas, one red and one blue, were already locked in what has been called — fairly, I think — a “Cold Civil War.”
• Maybe if we all take a deep breath, calm down and relax, we’ll come through this. But maybe not. “Maybe” is a very big word. As we have said on THE BEST DEFENSE, self-defense is always a compromise, a balance of risk/reward. If we apply that same thinking to our current situation, we see the fallacy in “relax.” If we relax and the current crisis just fades away, everything is cool If we relax and are, in fact, wrong, we lose the country, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the vote, our guns and maybe even our lives. The teeter-totter is wildly weighted on only one end.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, given those assumptions, what do we need to know as we face the Brave New World? I have been thinking about that a lot and talking to my team, who I believe are the best in the world at what they do. If we immediately move down to a “tactical,” as opposed to “strategic” level, here are some thoughts. Once again, feel free to either accept them or reject them out of hand. None of us have any words on a marble tablets delivered down from a mountaintop:

U.S. Cities Sue Federal Government Over Untraceable ‘Ghost Guns’

Syracuse, San Jose, Chicago, and Columbia, SC and Everytown ( a Bloomberg Front Organization) apparently think that they can somehow force Uncle to call a hunk of metal a firearm.
Yeah.
This is about trying to control the “80%” AR & Glock receivers we see for sale, that, except for some state laws, are completely unrestricted because they-are-not-guns.
Bloombutt can’t abide this sort of uppity ingeniousness from the serfs and want’s ATF to determine that they are guns. I wonder if he’d go into vapor lock if he knew that you can go to any well stocked hardware store and walk out with the stuff to make your own -legal- gas pipe shotguns and even -illegal – machineguns that take not much if any more effort than finishing out one of those 80% receivers.

The suit:

Defendants ATF and United States Department of Justice
(“DOJ”) refuse to apply the clear terms of the Gun Control Act. That federal law defines regulated “firearms” to include not only operable weapons but also their core building blocks—frames for pistols, and receivers for long guns—so long as those core building blocks are designed to be or may be readily converted into operable weapons. See 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(3).

Notwithstanding that statutory language, Defendants have declined to regulate unfinished ghost gun frames and receivers as “firearms,” even though they are designed to be and may be readily converted into operable weapons.2

Trump to send federal law enforcement, National Guard to Kenosha

(KRON/AP) – President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he is sending federal law enforcement and the National Guard to Kenosha, Wisconsin amid deadly and violent protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

In a series of tweets, Trump said he made the decision “to restore LAW and ORDER!”

“We will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets,” Trump continued. “My team just got off the phone with Governor Evers who agreed to accept federal assistance (Portland should do the same!)…” Continue reading “”

Apparently demoncrap support of the BLM/Antifa rioting has backfired so badly it’s killing them not just in their internal polling, but even in the massaged numbers for public consumption.

Don Lemon: “The Rioting Has Got to Stop… It’s Showing Up in the Polls”
Forget about the people who have been killed, the businesses, homes and livelihoods ruined, it’s about the polls

Appears some people are deciding not to put up with the rioters shenanigans. “Play stupid games; Win stupid prizes”.

Well, since The Trace is Bloomberg operation, you can figure which end of the horse they’re emulating for their articles.

The Trace Tries To Turn Gun Community Against McCloskeys

Mark and Patricia McCloskey have become icons on the right. They provided a stark visual for many of just what the stakes are with the recent unrest in many of our cities. After all, the mob showed up in their front yard and they were prepared to defend themselves.

Can’t blame them for that.

However, it seems that The Trace wants everyone to know that these two new symbols of gun rights activism are really vile anti-gunners or something. After all, they sued a gun manufacturer out of existence! Continue reading “”

St. Louis Couple Who Defended Home with Guns Offer Warning at RNC

The St. Louis couple who brandished guns to protect their home from Black Lives Matter protesters two months ago spoke on opening night of the Republican National Convention, warning that if Democrats win in November, American suburbs will be in trouble.

Yet in the first paragraph of its report, Reuters said the couple—Mark and Patricia McCloskey—repeated “unfounded claims by President Donald Trump that Democrats will destroy America’s suburbs.”

As if to contradict Reuters, Black congressional candidate Kim Klacik appeared in a video in which she strolled through the Baltimore neighborhood she hopes to represent as a Republican, showing the decay that has occurred under more than 50 years of Democrat control. According to Fox News, her campaign advertisement has been viewed more than 11.4 million times.

Reuters might also check with the New York Post, which reported several days ago about BLM protesters who marched into a residential neighborhood “demanding that white residents give up their homes.” Continue reading “”

Iran Claims “Sabotage” Caused Nuclear Facility Explosion

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said an explosion at the country’s main nuclear facility in July was caused by sabotage.

“The explosion at Natanz nuclear facility was a result of sabotage operations. Security authorities will reveal in due time the reason behind the blast,” spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told state TV channel Al-Alam on August 23. Continue reading “”

The people who are telling us that Trump must accept the election results:
(even though they didn’t in 2016)

Hillary Clinton to Biden: Don’t concede if the election is close.
“Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out,” Clinton warned.

Hillary Clinton is predicting Donald Trump’s reelection effort will be a messy affair, and the former Democratic candidate has some advice for Joe Biden: If the race is close, don’t concede.

Speaking with Jennifer Palmieri for Showtime’s “The Circus,” Clinton said Trump would likely try to take the election by going after absentee voting. She emphasized that even a small margin of votes can have major consequences, harking back to her experience winning the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes and still losing in the Electoral College. This is what they really think about you.
It’s what they’ve always thought about you, but kept hidden.
Trump is going to go down in history as the one who pulled the curtain away to expose just who they really are.

BLUF:
Each month since March, NSSF-adjusted NICS background checks have set a record as the strongest ever recorded for that month.

FIRST-TIME GUN BUYERS GROW TO NEARLY 5 MILLION IN 2020

NEWTOWN, Conn. – NSSF®, the trade association for the firearm industry, updated retail survey-based estimates and concluded that nearly 5 million Americans purchased a firearm for the very first time in 2020. NSSF surveyed firearm retailers which reported that 40 percent of sales were conducted to purchasers who have never previously owned a firearm.

NSSF tracks the background checks associated with the sale of a firearm based on the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System (NICS). NSSF-adjusted NICS checks for January through July 2020 is a record 12.1 million, which is up 71.7 percent from the 7.1 million NSSF-adjusted NICS January through July 2019. This equates to nearly 5 million first-time gun owners in the first seven months of 2020. Continue reading “”

WOMAN USES BEAR RIFLE TO STOP KIDNAPPING NEAR WALTON

EUGENE, Ore. – A local woman used her bear rifle to save a kidnapping victim from possibly being murdered on Sunday, keeping one of the armed assailants at bay.

In an interview with KEZI 9 News, the woman said she spotted the man, who was badly beaten, on Highway 126 near Walton as she was on her way to go bear hunting. After calling 911 the victim told her he and his girlfriend had been kidnapped, and the kidnapper was driving his car, which was parked nearby.

“He is going to kill me, and he’s probably going to kill you since you are here,” the man told her.

The woman, whose identity we are not revealing, said she told the man to find a place to hide. When she saw another man walking down the highway with a handgun, she got her hunting rifle out and waited for troopers to arrive.

Troopers arrived to the scene at about 7:30 a.m. but the suspect had already fled the scene on foot. He and a second suspect remain at large, and a third was taken into custody.

Michael Light, 39, of Florence, faces charges of second-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping.

Investigators say Light and the two other men assaulted the man for an extended period of time in his campsite. Light then kidnapped a woman, who the bear hunter says was the victim’s girlfriend and Light’s ex-girlfriend.

A search found Light and the female victim in a vehicle in the area, and Light was taken into custody. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Michael Lokey-Wilson, 31, of Florence and Jonathan Dakota Appelt, 28, of Florence were identified as the other two suspects involved.

Wonder what clued them into investigating……

Texas A&M professor, NASA researcher accused of secretly collaborating with China

WASHINGTON — A Texas A&M professor was charged with conspiracy, making false statements and wire fraud on allegations that he was secretly collaborating with the Chinese government while conducting research for NASA, the Department of Justice said Monday.

According to a criminal complaint, Zhengdong Cheng, 53, a professor in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M and a NASA researcher, obscured his affiliations and collaboration with a Chinese university and at least one Chinese-owned company. Continue reading “”

The Lincoln Project fabricates racist Trump supporter

In a since-deleted tweet, Project Lincoln posted a video of President Donald Trump’s re-nomination speech on the first day of the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Trump stated that the Democrats are trying to steal the presidential election again, but this time with universal mail-in voting which the GOP claims is a liability for voter fraud. The Left’s vote-by-mail campaign was preceded by spying in the 2016 race. Trump noted that Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden were among those caught red-handed by Republicans.

That’s when a pro-Trump advocate supposedly shouted, “Monkey!” in reference to the former black president. The Lincoln Project added that “the president relished in it.”

“Disgusting,” Project Lincoln’s account signed off before they rescinded the fake story.

What’s truly disgusting: the alleged incident is yet another lie fabricated and circulated by the Never-Trump group.

In actuality, the audience member shouted, “Spygate!”

Even Trump told his fan: “Let’s be nice.” And the crowd revered.

“I live for this event. I really do,” Moner said. “There’s nothing like seeing a woman pull the trigger on a firearm for the very first time. It’s like a light just goes off in her. It’s a moment of enlightenment.”

Detroit Women Flock to Gun Training.

Tanisha Moner has had a gun pointed at her twice in her life. Once by two strangers who kidnapped, robbed, and sexually assaulted her when she was 17. And, again, by another robber as she worked a management shift at a restaurant.

The traumatic experiences left her scarred, afraid of guns, shuddering at the sound of a firework and popped balloon. That changed the day she decided to face her fears and showed up for a gun-carry class at a local range.

“Succumbing to your own fear is the only thing that can stop you from doing anything you want to do,” Moner told the Washington Free Beacon.

She said that first gun-safety training class years ago helped her overcome her fear and ignited a passion to help others overcome their own fears. Continue reading “”

Glacier National Park is removing “glaciers will be gone by 2020” signs

KALISPELL — For more than a decade, signs at Glacier National Park warned visitors that the glaciers would be gone by the year 2020 – now those signs are being changed.

They were originally added to the park to reflect climate change predictions by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Glacier National Park spokeswoman Gina Kurzmen explained that the latest research shows shrinking of some glaciers, but in ways much more complex than what was predicted. Because of this, the park must update all signs around the park which state that all glaciers will be melted by 2020.
