I don’t think I’m the only one, as even the Democrats seem now to realize. And this massive blindspot is not hard to understand.
When a political party finds itself so wedded to a new and potent ideology it cannot call out violence when it sees it, then it is walking straight into a trap.

When the discourse on the left has become one in which scholars and editors and Tweeters vie with one another to up the ante on how inherently evil America has always been, redescribe it as a slaveocracy, and endorse racist books that foment the most egregious stereotypes about “whiteness”, most ordinary people, who love their country and are mostly proud of its past, will rightly balk.

One of the most devastating lines in president Trump’s convention speech last night was this: “Tonight, I ask you a very simple question: How can the Democrat Party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?” 

The Trap The Democrats Walked Right Into
If law and order are what this election is about, they will lose it. 

It finally happened. We have lethal battles in the streets between the two tribes of our polarized politics. This week, a 17-year-old man, Kyle Rittenhouse, brought a rifle to Kenosha, Wisconsin, in order, it appears, to protect the businesses that were being burned down or ransacked by rioters after the police shooting of alleged rapist, Jacob Blake. In a series of skirmishes between Rittenhouse and BLM and Antifa activists on the streets of Kenosha, three men pursuing Rittenhouse were shot and two killed by the vigilante in what appears to be some kind of self-defense.

2020 Gun Sales Have Likely Surpassed All of 2019.

The number of new guns purchased in 2020 likely passed the total for 2019 sometime this month. August volume won’t be available for at least another week, although after Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting (SAAF) Chief Economist Jurgen Brauer said in a press release earlier this month—after analyzing July’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) volume—“Our estimates suggest that the market for the first seven months of 2020 now has nearly matched that of the entire year of 2019.”

The FBI processed 3,639,224 NICS checks in July, the third highest on record. Only June and March of this year have experienced a heavier monthly volume in the entire history of the system. This election will determine future of private gun ownership in US

This past week, President Trump claimed the election will determine the future of private gun ownership in the United States.

He’s right. And Montana voters’ choice for the U.S. Senate looks set to determine its balance of power. If they gain control, Joe Biden and Senate Democrats promise to eliminate the filibuster, allowing them to pass any legislation they want with a simple majority vote.

But the Senate won’t just determine what gun control legislation gets passed — it will also determine what judges get confirmed.

There are few issues that divide Democrat- and Republican-appointed judges more consistently and completely than gun control. President Trump’s 200 federal judicial confirmations have only just brought the courts into balance, with Democrat-appointees still controlling circuit courts for 24 states plus D.C.

The states Democrats control judicially are ones that they also tend to control legislatively. These circuit courts approve any and all of the regulations they get passed, no matter how flagrantly they infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

Don’t expect the Supreme Court to restrain these courts. All four Democrat appointments claim people don’t have a right to self-defense. Indeed, they have already noted they will vote to overturn the court’s 2008 Heller and 2010 McDonald decisions. Those rulings merely ensured the government could not completely ban guns.

Four Republican-appointed justices clearly care about the right to self-defense. But they won’t take up gun control cases for fear Justice John Roberts will side with the liberal justices. He has already done so on religious freedom cases, DACA and Obamacare.

Montana’s two current senators are sharply divided who should be on the courts. Sen. Jon Tester voted for Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, who do not believe there is an individual right to self-defense. He opposed Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, who support that right.

Sen. Steve Daines has voted the opposite way.

If Gov. Steve Bullock replaces Daines this November and gives Democrats control of the Senate, that means more judges in the vein of Sotomayor and Kagan.

California shows us what the future of gun ownership can look like. For example, no one has figured out how to meet the state’s requirement for micro-stamping — a technology by which firing pins will supposedly imprint a unique identifying code on each shell casing. Even if someone could implement this expensive technology, a criminal could circumvent it by simply filing down the pin or replacing it. But handguns that don’t meet these impossible regulations will soon be banned. Given the 9th Circuit Court’s liberal bent, unless Trump fills another Supreme Court vacancy, California’s restrictions will likely be upheld.

This year, the Democrat’s convention platform is focused on a radical gun control agenda. It advocates licensing for gun owners, allowing gun makers to be held liable whenever someone uses a gun to commit a crime or cause an accident, and banning some types of semi-automatic guns based on appearance rather than on function. Neither Tester or Bullock have made any public comments opposing this platform.

Bullock attacks “Dark Money groups like the NRA, who are spending millions to try to divide this nation and thwart progress.” but he never criticizes the vastly greater amounts that New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg spends. While the NRA spent $18.9 million on all campaigns in 2018, Michael Bloomberg put up $110 million just for congressional campaigns, even more than that on state legislative races across the country.

Montanans cherish their freedoms. It would be ironic if Montanans provide the deciding votes that kill the Second Amendment and Americans’ right to defend themselves and their families.

With the gear found in their vehicle, ‘RiotKitchen206’ appears to be nothing more than a logistics unit for the rioters.

According to KPD, officers were able to stop the minivan and force their way into it, arresting everyone in the vehicle. With all of the suspects in custody, officers searched the vehicles and discovered helmets, gas masks, protective vests, illegal fireworks, and suspected controlled substances, the statement noted.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – An alert citizen tipping the Kenosha Police Department to three suspicious vehicles with out-of-state plates Wednesday night led to the arrest of nine people authorities suspect were plotting some sort of criminal activity related to recent violent protests.

However, a group out of Seattle that was founded to provide free food to protesters and activists, RiotKitchen206, claims it was their members who were arrested and that they were in Kenosha only to serve meals to people at the demonstrations.

According to a statement posted on KPD’s Facebook page, the tipster told them the vehicles were in a remote lot near State Highway 50 and Green Bay Road. Officers soon found the vehicles – a black school bus, a bread truck, and a tan minivan – and, with the help of U.S. Marshals, staked out the position. Continue reading “”

If civil authorities do not restore order reasonably soon, it is nearly inevitable that citizens will organize to defend themselves. Gun sales have skyrocketed in the last three months, a sure sign that many citizens no longer believe that the police will protect them. In June, a widely shared video showed a black man in South Central Los Angeles telling white protesters they could not come and trash his neighborhood—and he backed it up with a credible threat of violence. The same push-back seems to be happening in Kenosha.

You can’t handle rioting radicals like university unrest

Unrest continues in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in the aftermath of the shooting of Jacob Blake. News of street violence makes my heart sink. But I’m not surprised. Since George Floyd’s death, civil authorities have done everything possible to avoid deadly encounters. They have given low priority to the protection of property. The danger in this approach is that those victimized start to fight back (or hire proxies to do so).

In New York protests pushed police to the perimeter of sections of the city. With thousands of cell phone cameras trained on them, officers had to act carefully to avoid confrontations, lest they be captured on video and create still more violence. In any event, civil leaders had urged police restraint. This created police-free zones in which looters could freely roam.

The strategy was one of containment, not confrontation. This was not necessarily a stupid approach, given that public opinion at that point was solidly behind protesters and against police. But it came with costs, which storeowners and residents of the neighborhoods overrun by disorder and crime had to absorb. Continue reading “”

Guardian stops intruder at Central Florida high school, had flare gun and cocaine in his possession

LEESBURG, Fla. – A guardian at a Central Florida high school confronted an intruder on Thursday, according to officials.

A spokesperson for the Lake County School District confirmed to FOX 35 News that a school guardian at Leesburg High School confronted a man he saw jump a fence and come onto campus on Thursday morning.

They said that law enforcement was immediately called and the person was arrested.

According to an arrest report, 30-year-old Jabari Scott had a flare gun in his right waistband but it contained a 410 shotgun shell in the barrel, “ready to fire.” An additional shotgun shell, nine rounds of .380 ammunition, one 9mm round, one .223 round, and one 12 gauge shotgun slug shell were also in the man’s possession, investigators said.

In addition, police said that Scott had a white, powdery substance on him too, which tested positive for cocaine. It was said to be in five, small Ziploc-style bags. He also had an unidentified brown powder substance on him, which did not test positive for heroin or meth.

The Leesburg Police Department said that Scott claimed that the items listed above were actually his little brother’s and that he did not want him to get caught with them.

No one was reportedly hurt and everyone is safe.

Oh, we’re already awake, it’s just that we’re not making a big deal about being awake…..yet.

BLUF:
In the big Left Coast cities, citizens have almost no ability to arm themselves to protect their families or property, but once you wander out past the city limits, you find those still in possession of their 2nd Amendment rights (and their testicles) who are ready, willing, and able to stand up to the lawlessness and say very loudly and clearly, “Not here.”

In several instances, Antifa has been very promptly and swiftly (and sometimes violently) ejected from towns or neighborhoods who knew what their intentions were and collectively decided to take a stand. Those stories are wonderful to hear, because to me it means that regular people — you know, those crazy people who have jobs, families, responsibilities, maybe faith in God and a love of their country — are starting to tire of the violence and overall nonsense. 

Waking the Sleeping Giant

In recent weeks, not only have we seen some very large holes punched in the narrative of what happened to George Floyd, but we’ve also seen the very thin veil come off, as the “peaceful protests” by Black Lives Matter and Antifa rapidly devolved into perhaps the worst string of violent riots the country has ever seen. As of this writing, the city of Portland, Oregon has been host to violent riots for 86 days straight — nearly three months of chaos.

As we all know, violence in the name of outrage (or really in the name of anything) is nothing new for the Left. No one is quicker to protest violence by smashing your face with a brick than the tolerant, loving Left. No one understands better than the Left that the way to fight perceived racism in America is with even stronger and more brazen racism. No one — not even L. Frank Baum — could construct a better Straw Man to rail against than the Left, and they’ve built one to rival Burning Man against President Trump (see Trump as racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamaphobe, et al).

None of this is a surprise to anyone who is actually paying attention, regardless of what side you vote for. If you don’t see how lawless and dangerous the riots have become, then you’re not willing to see. Continue reading “”

President Trump gave his nomination acceptance speech earlier in the night from the South Lawn. Upon its conclusion around 12 a.m., attendees left the White House campus to walk to cars and hotels. They were also accosted and attacked…………

The Men Shot in Kenosha Were Convicted Criminals Who Were Shot While Acting Like Criminals

Tuesday night, the free-for-all of looting and general criminality visited upon Kenosha, WI, by Antifa street thugs came to an abrupt halt as a violent confrontation between a single “militia” member attempting to prevent property damage ended with three Antifa shot, two fatally.

What struck me as particularly strange was the total absence of information forthcoming on the identities of the dead and wounded men who had been recorded on video chasing down 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, beating him in the street and, in one case, brandishing a pistol at him. If you recall, when Antifa thug and LARPer Garrett Foster pointed his firearm at a driver and was shot for his stupidity, we were inundated with stories of what kind of a great husband and friend he was (read The Left Is Trying to Create Their Own Horst Wessel but They Just Aren’t Good Enough). One would have thought for sure with three of the goons the worse for wear that one of them was a hairy, unwashed, Wisconsin version of Mother Teresa.

An attempt was made for one of them, but it seemed to fizzle……….

Now more information has emerged, and it pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the kind of people who take to the street to commit mindless acts of arson, vandalism, and violence.

First up, Joseph Rosenbaum, a registered sex offender with some obvious anger issues. He’s the guy who threw what, on video, looked like a Molotov cocktail at Rittenhouse but which seems to have “only” been a brick in a plastic bag.

Next is Anthony Huber, aka “Skateboard Guy.” He’s the one caught on video beating a prostrate Rittenhouse with a skateboard. I also think he’s the same one caught delivering a roundhouse kick to Rittenhouse while he was down.

True to form, he was a convicted felon with a history of violence.

Finally, we have Gaige “Lefty” Grosskreutz. Grosskreutz has a pistol in his hand during the confrontation and was shot in the arm. Ironically, he was LARPing as a medic. He was a convicted felon (burglary) — some of the terror sympathizers are claiming his convictions for burglary was merely a misdemeanor, but that remains to be seen — and is not allowed to possess any weapon but appears to have been carrying a concealed semiautomatic pistol. He’s also a member of the anarchist group “People’s Revolution Movement.”

What the shootings boil down to is this. We can criticize Rittenhouse’s judgment for a) coming to Kenosha and b) getting himself isolated from compatriots and putting himself in a position where shooting was his only option. We don’t have to think that he was some exemplar of civic duty for his enlistment in what amounted to a vigilante group. But we have to keep in mind that the people he put down were men with criminal records who were acting very much like we expect violent felons to act. They weren’t heroes. They weren’t victims. They made a conscious decision to attack a man with a gun, and they got shot. That’s the end of the story.

Thanks Kamala. Thanks for owning the riots, looting, arson and murders.  The party elite are either completely delusional, or they know they’ve lost it for ’20 and are working to stir up, expose and thus be able to marginalize the loonies that have trashed the party so they’ll be less of a problem in ’22 & ’24. IDK, take your pick.

This week, Jeff Bezos became the first human being in history to earn $200 billion. [in a week, ed.]

Now, notice I just said Bezos earned that money. Our friends on the left would strenuously disagree with that assertion. They believe that all property is theft — except, of course, when it’s their property — which makes Bezos the biggest criminal in the world………….
So it just makes sense that they’d build a guillotine and stand outside Bezos’ house with a bullhorn to yell about capitalism or whatever.

“Give us $30 an hour!”

Keep in mind that these protesters are threatening Jeff Bezos with a guillotine peacefully. This is in no way an escalation of rhetoric. Everybody knows it’s perfectly rational to stand outside a man’s home with an infamous implement of execution, screaming that you want his money. We’ve all been there, right?

And of course, if this were some right-wing group standing in front of a rich man’s house with a guillotine, it would be days-long headline news. “Look at the scary Trump-humpers! What is this country coming to???” Etc. But journos agree with these idiots, even the WaPo hacks who work for Bezos, so they’ll just look the other way.

No charges filed against Wapato man in fatal shooting

WAPATO, Wash.– A 31-year-old Wapato man who shot a man and wounded another man will not be facing charges at this time, according to Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic.

Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says Jesse Villa shot and killed 27-year-old Tadd Blodgett and wounded 22-year-old Isaac Bobb on August 20.

Blodgett and Bobb are enrolled Yakima Nation tribal members, according to a police report.

According to a police report, Jesse Villa arrived home from work at about 3 a.m. to find his wife and three men outside at the 700 block of W. 7th St.

“They had come over earlier that evening and had been partying and hanging out,” Brusic says.

However, a small fight began after one of the men started pushing Villa’s wife, according to Brusic.

The prosecutor says Villa told them the men to leave, and when they wouldn’t, he went inside to get a gun.

When Villa went into his house, a family member was told him that his wife was being assaulted, says Brusic.

Reports say Villa grabbed a gun and went outside to find his wife on the ground with the men standing over her.

One of the men charged Villa and the other swung at him, according to Brusic.

Villa fired his gun and shot two men. Blodgett died at the scene and Bobb was taken to the hospital, according to a police report. Continue reading “”

Robber was shot, killed in struggle with man working on his car

The victim in an Allentown homicide earlier this month was shot to death by a man he’d tried to rob, investigators said Wednesday.

The shooter is not being identified and faces no charges for acting in self-defense, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said in a news release.

The incident occurred at about 2:55 p.m. Aug. 8 in the city’s 1700 block of South Idaho Street. Juan Rivera, 28, of Lowell, Massachusetts, ended up dead after he and another as-yet-unidentified man approached an individual who was in his vehicle in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex, Martin said. Pelosi Comes to Slow Joe’s Rescue: ‘I Don’t Think There Should Be Any Debates’

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — the highest-ranking member of her party — said on Thursday, “I don’t think there should be any debates” between President Donald Trump and her party’s alleged nominee, Joe Biden.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Pelosi couched her remarks as a matter of dignity for the notorious hair-sniffer and plagiarist.

“I don’t think that [Biden] should dignify that conversation with Donald Trump,” Pelosi claimed.

Pelosi also admitted that “the Biden campaign thinks in a different way about this,” but a statement about refusing to debate coming from someone with her rank and influence might just set the bar low enough for Biden to weasel out.

Like much of the rest of 2020, a major presidential challenger refusing to debate the incumbent would be unprecedented, and possibly a huge turnoff for voters who already find it difficult to generate much enthusiasm for the Democrats’ cocooned standard-bearer.

“Don’t tell anyone I told you this,” Pelosi said to members of the Washington press corps while standing in front of several video cameras, “especially don’t tell Joe Biden: I don’t think that there should be any debates.”

Sure, Nancy, we’ll just keep that little nugget between you and me.

Even Dave Wiegel, that frequent pom-pom-waver for Democratic candidates, had to admit that Pelosi’s statement basically stank up Biden’s basement.

Staying Alive in the Brave New World

Okay kids, let’s make some assumptions here…you are free to accept or reject them as you see fit:
 
• We have fully entered a new phase of “acceptable” violence. What we now see is “recreational arson,” that is, the setting of fires with the inherent risk to human life for fun. Remember when you were a kid and how thrilling setting off fireworks was for you? This is the exact some thing, kicked, as Emeril might say, up a notch.
• One major political party and their farthest left members fully support this violence, because they see it as the best chance for wholesale social change, e.g  [no Michael, that’s i.e. ]  the Socialist States of America (or some other similar euphemism for fascism, which is what we are really looking at here).
They are correct. Historically, times of massive uncertainty offers a narrow window for massive political/government change. The other side understands that this is “The Year of the Jackpot” [Refer: Robert Heinlein], and they are all-in.
• Yes, we have seen this kind of urban violence before in the late 1960s/early 1970s, but what is different this time is that in the earlier case there was among most citizens an agreement about what America was, a consensus of the exceptionality of the U.S., if you will. That does not exist today. Rather, well before the China Virus and the riots, the two Americas, one red and one blue, were already locked in what has been called — fairly, I think — a “Cold Civil War.”
• Maybe if we all take a deep breath, calm down and relax, we’ll come through this. But maybe not. “Maybe” is a very big word. As we have said on THE BEST DEFENSE, self-defense is always a compromise, a balance of risk/reward. If we apply that same thinking to our current situation, we see the fallacy in “relax.” If we relax and the current crisis just fades away, everything is cool If we relax and are, in fact, wrong, we lose the country, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the vote, our guns and maybe even our lives. The teeter-totter is wildly weighted on only one end.
 
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, given those assumptions, what do we need to know as we face the Brave New World? I have been thinking about that a lot and talking to my team, who I believe are the best in the world at what they do. If we immediately move down to a “tactical,” as opposed to “strategic” level, here are some thoughts. Once again, feel free to either accept them or reject them out of hand. U.S. Cities Sue Federal Government Over Untraceable ‘Ghost Guns’

Syracuse, San Jose, Chicago, and Columbia, SC and Everytown ( a Bloomberg Front Organization) apparently think that they can somehow force Uncle to call a hunk of metal a firearm.
Yeah.
This is about trying to control the “80%” AR & Glock receivers we see for sale, that, except for some state laws, are completely unrestricted because they-are-not-guns.
Bloombutt can’t abide this sort of uppity ingeniousness from the serfs and want’s ATF to determine that they are guns. I wonder if he’d go into vapor lock if he knew that you can go to any well stocked hardware store and walk out with the stuff to make your own -legal- gas pipe shotguns and even -illegal – machineguns that take not much if any more effort than finishing out one of those 80% receivers.

Trump to send federal law enforcement, National Guard to Kenosha

(KRON/AP) – President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he is sending federal law enforcement and the National Guard to Kenosha, Wisconsin amid deadly and violent protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

In a series of tweets, Trump said he made the decision “to restore LAW and ORDER!”
