During her failed campaign for the presidency, California Senator and newly minted Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared to endorse Beto O’Rourke-style gun confiscation. Harris called the notion of mandatory “buyback” gun confiscations a “good idea” in an interview with Bloomberg News, following the lead of another Democratic contender, Beto O’Rourke.
Harris, who endorsed the policy when speaking after a campaign event in New Hampshire, qualified that additional details had to be resolved to enact mandatory buybacks, but made it clear she expressly supports the notion of mandatory confiscation buybacks
“I think it’s a good idea…We have to work out the details — there are a lot of details — but I do,” responded Harris when asked about her potential support for Beto O’Rourke’s aggressive gun seizure agenda. “We have to take those guns off the streets,” she said of the millions of legally owned semiautomatic firearms in civilian hands.
Harris’ entry into the Democratic ticket possibly signals Joe Biden’s most cogent embrace of the gun confiscation policies long favored by the neoliberal extremist element of the Democratic Party, which go a step further than most liberal gun control policies in actively mandating that law-abiding patriots who own so-called “assault weapons” surrender their guns to the government.
Biden has previously stated that he plans on appointing Beto O’Rourke to “take care of the gun problem” in his administration when he’s office. He appears primed to surround himself with the most draconian anti-gun confiscation enthusiasts as President.
Declare a pandemic and watch legions of fence-sitting non-gun owners scramble to be first in line at the nearest gun store, then watch their facial expressions when they discover buying guns really isn’t as easy or haphazard as they’ve been led to believe.
Disappointment and worry are great motivations to change one’s philosophy, especially when it might involve personal preservation. Every new gun owner can translate to a new rights activist, which means one less gun-control extremist. Continue reading “”
So, will it be President Kamala Harris after all? You might think so. After all, whoever Joe Biden’s ventriloquist is this week just had the puppet announce that his pick for vice-president is none other than the mixed-race female senator from California.
You remember Kamala Harris. She’s the one who, as California’s Attorney General, held back exculpatory evidence about a chap on death row in order to burnish her ‘tough on crime’ image. That was before her leadership role in savaging Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court — the single most disgusting attempted political assassination I have ever witnessed. And it was also before her vicious attack on — why, it was on the puppet himself, on Joe Biden for being against forced busing back in the day………….
Experts disagree about who is the nastiest and most disagreeable woman in politics. Some say it is Elizabeth Warren, and there is a lot to be said for her candidacy. Some say it is Hillary Clinton or Amy Klobuchar. I admit there is quite a lot to said for both of them as well. But for my money, the single most repellent woman in politics today is Kamala Harris. She is also, as this devastating video clip tweeted out today by President Trump reminds us, one of the most extreme leftists in what we used to be able to call, without irony, mainstream politics.
Frankly, I am surprised at Joe Biden’s minders. What does Harris bring to the ticket? Yes, she is a mixed-race female, which gives him brownie points with the BLM-antifa fanatics (though her behavior as a prosecutor and attorney general of California will win her no plaudits in those quarters). But Biden will take California in any event. How will Harris play in the rest of the country? Not well, I predict.
I think it likely that Joe Biden is not allowed to tie his shoes without the OK from his handlers.
President Trump has signed a series of Executive Orders to provide coronavirus relief for people in Democrat-occupied America (and elsewhere). Pelosi-Schumer thought they had him boxed in to force bail-outs for Democrat-occupied America to secure government-employee union pensions and pay, to pay for promises to illegal aliens, to make up for tax shortfalls when they shut down productive activity to kill the economy and secure power. But Trump is invoking the “Obama pen” and signing his way to re-election.
Is this a good government and Constitutional rectitude? No, it is not. But President Trump has decided that the Constitution is not a suicide pact; that the Supreme Court (notwithstanding having appointed two justices) is not going to aggressively protect the civil liberties of the people in the age of the Democratic-occupation. And President Trump is trying to manage the Executive with various weights and traps that even is his supposed “allies” in the GOP seem to accept as the cost of doing business in DC.
So President Trump has decided to pet the unicorn. He has set himself up to act in the peoples’ best short-term interest and dared the opposition to sue and stop him (and thus them). He is bringing to life the meme that “They are not really after me. They are after You. I am just in their way.” And that is what voters will come to believe if the Democrats try to stop him. Just like their masters – the demoncrap party – If they didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any at all.
It’s a good thing that left wingers are typically deficient in the sense of shame (just as they tend to be deficient in the sense of humor). If they weren’t, they would be finding it hard to live with themselves just now.
When President Trump announced four executive orders at his hastily called presser at his golf course at Bedminster, N.J., on Friday, the press looked down at its collective knickers and found them in a twist.
The President had been negotiating for weeks with Congress to address the suffering and economic displacement caused by the coronavirus. (Actually, truth in advertising requires that I emend that. The suffering and economic displacement were caused by the drastic overreaction to the disease, which overreaction on the part of governmental agencies was itself sparked by the cynical politicization of the disease, its reformulation into an anti-Trump weapon.)
Since Congress declined to act, Trump stepped into the breach. He issued orders providing for a payroll tax “holiday” through the end of the year for those earning less than $100,000, extending the payment of a weekly supplement for unemployment benefits, prolonging a moratorium on repayment of government funded student loans, and continuing the suspension of eviction from government subsidized housing.
The Washington Post greeted this bold action with the headline: “Trump Attempts to Wrest Tax and Spending Powers Away from Congress.”
Hugh Hewitt got to the heart of the unintended comedy here when he noted that “When President Obama pioneered selective enforcement of law, media elites applauded. . . . The powers supporting the laws which President Obama suspended—the immigration and border laws—are as ‘fundamental, constitutionally mandated’ as the taxing and spending powers. It will be revealing to see which reporters/platforms attempt to distinguish between the powers. . . . If an editorial outlet condemns @realDonaldTrump action but was silent on the President Obama’s DACA and DAPA, they are engaging in rank hypocrisy.” Indeed.
Hewitt goes on to point out that the reverse is not true because President Trump is relying on the precedent Obama set, which has yet to be overturned. Consequently, he concludes, if you encounter outrage over President Trump’s “unilateral and unprecedented executive actions,” and so on, “understand the writer or speaker is either ignorant or deceitful” (or, I might add, both).Continue reading “”
could ?
They’re wishing it ain’t so.
And if we’ve learned anything, when a demoncrap says it isn’t politics, it certainly is. Everything to them is politics.
“It’s not politics at all,” she said. “This investigation began in 2019 and the complaint lays out all the allegations and facts and the conclusions of law… I have a duty and an obligation and a responsibility to follow the law and to ensure the mission of non-profits, including the NRA, are protected.”
With November’s election looming, though, the political ramifications are difficult to ignore. President Donald Trump—who was endorsed by the NRA last month—immediately touted the lawsuit as a reason for gun rights supporters to back him over presumptive Democratic nominee former Vice President Joe Biden.
“Just like Radical Left New York is trying to destroy the NRA, if Biden becomes President your GREAT SECOND AMENDMENT doesn’t have a chance,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “Your guns will be taken away, immediately and without notice. No police, no guns!”………..
“When citizens see images of social breakdown and violence on television or out their windows, it changes them,” added Tom Kubiniec, CEO of gun safety and storage company, SecureIt Tactical. “Those who have supported strict gun control or confiscation have argued that only the government can provide safety and security. That argument appears to have collapsed.”
The year 2020 has brought with it unrest and uncertainty – from the coronavirus pandemic to the wave of nationwide protests and riots that have resulted in a push not only to enact police reform but to defund and abolish entire departments.
Amidst these developments, gun store shelves are being wiped bare, and more than two-and-a-half million Americans are estimated to have made the purchase of a firearm for the very first time in their lives.
Data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has found that at least 40% of their sales have come from first-time buyers. Typically, this group accounts for about 25% of buyers.
The glut of new owners has ignited a debate as to whether it will solidify a more pro-gun voting bloc and whether it will bring about more of a “middle ground” in the debate over gun legislation. Continue reading “”
The platform wasn’t the product of Biden’s thinking, but those propping him up. They’re ramming through a radical agenda to disarm law-abiding Americans when they’re buying firearms in record numbers over concerns of personal safety. This is a platform that is far beyond being out of step with America. It’s tripping over itself.
Presumed Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, called the firearm industry “the enemy” from the debate stage one year ago. Now, the rest of the party plans to follow him in that announcement with the Democratic Platform that lays out an agenda to dismantle the firearm and ammunition industry and destroy Second Amendment rights in America.
The DNC posted the party’s draft platform online, which will be formally adopted during the Milwaukee convention starting Aug. 17. Just two paragraphs of the 80-page document are dedicated to firearms, but not much space is needed when the party is in lockstep. The plan includes:
Criminalizing private firearm transfers
Disrupting interstate commerce by criminalizing online firearm and ammunition sales
Instituting endless “delay” windows for background checks
Banning the manufacture and sale of modern sporting rifles
Banning the manufacture and sale of standard magazines
Enacting licensing schemes to exercise Second Amendment rights
Enacting ex parte “red flag” laws to seize guns without legal recourse
Mandating home storage requirements under penalty of law
Repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act to subject the industry to frivolous lawsuits
In Lockstep
Former Vice President Biden already told America exactly how he feels when it comes to law-abiding citizens demanding their civil rights. Union autoworker Jerry Wayne questioned Biden on his commitment to safeguarding gun rights, only to be the target of Biden’s temper when he jabbed a finger in his face, telling Wayne, “not to be such a horse’s ass,” and telling him he’s “full of sh*t.” Continue reading “”
Deep in a survey of likely voters, paid for by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for firearms manufacturers, is the startling fact that most people don’t realize Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president, is a gun-control extremist.
While 95% of likely voters said they are “very likely” to vote in the upcoming election, only 17% of gun owners in the survey said “gun-related issues” were one of their three top policy areas going into this election (15% did say “crime” and 18% said “civil rights”).
The truth that Biden is no moderate on guns clearly isn’t getting out enough. The thing is, it isn’t speculation that Biden wants our guns. This fact isn’t even just informed opinion based on Biden’s previous policy positions. The glaring truth is, Biden has actually published a long list of his desired gun bans and restrictions on his 2020 campaign website.Continue reading “”
“The left is going bonkers over this. They’re too dumb to realize this is a play off the left’s ‘we can’t start school until we have a vaccine’ and ‘we can’t go back to work until Covid runs its course’ positions. The left now has to choose one course or the other.”
With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???
Is it Wednesday already? Pardon me, I left my calendar in March.
If today’s headline about election-stealing seems a bit over the top and incendiary, I can assure you that it was most intentional. Democrats and their flying media monkeys make outlandish claims like that about conservatives and Republicans all the time and are never held accountable for them.
These are, after all, the lunatics who are referring to the presence of federal officers in burning riot cities as a portent of “martial law.”
Well, more than one can play the hyperbole hysteria game. And when one is hurling outlandishness at Democrats, history tells us that there is a greater likelihood that it will be true (see how I’m warming up to this so quickly?).
At present, the Democrats are attempting to unseat an incumbent president by devising a plan where their candidate doesn’t have to be seen in public for most of the general election campaign. They’re desperate to keep Joe Biden hidden until as many early and mail-in votes as possible are cast for him because they know that the first time he’s on his own in public he’s going to pull down his mask and start sniffing strangers, all the while barking, “Barack likes me!”
On the rare occasions when the idiot in the basement is let off-leash by his wife and handlers, he’s babbling about President Trump trying to “steal” the election. He keeps saying it, too, most recently at a virtual fundraiser hosted by one of the celebrities Hillary Clinton thought would wish her to victory.
“This president is going to try to indirectly steal the election by arguing that mail-in ballots don’t work. They’re not real. They’re not fair,” Biden said.
In each one of these “steal the election” rants, Biden immediately rambles on about mail-in ballots. Again, that’s all they’ve got and they know it. That’s where the real election-stealing can happen and it’s not going to be done by the Republicans.
The Democrats have shown — especially in the Trump era — that most of what they throw at the Republicans is just a bunch of twisted political psychological projection. Continue reading “”
The Seattle-based Alliance for Gun Responsibility, a billionaire-backed gun prohibition lobbying group, has done Evergreen State conservatives—especially gun owners—a huge favor by publishing its “2020 Legislative Score Card.”
That this information is available right before the Aug. 4 primary election is no small thing. One glance up and down the list tells gun owners who not to vote for in state legislative races, and the formula is easy.
If a politician gets a “0%” Voting grade, vote for him or her. Politicians rating “100%” should get an immediate rejection, and their opponent should get the gun owner vote. In between, any politician earning a rating below 50% deserves a look, while anyone popping above 50% should be considered overdue for replacement. Continue reading “”
His team’s problem is, if he does debate, it will be over as well, due to his dementia, and they know it. Between a rock and a hard place doesn’t begin to describe their problem.
And, he’s got 10 minutes for a softball ‘interview’ by a local TV guy in Phoenix – that looks like it was prescripted so SloJoe could read off a TelePrompter and printed answer sheet- but no time for Chris Wallace?
Again, we know why: Wallace has just enough ethics left to not provide his list of questions in advance and Biden’s team knows it would turn out to be a disaster for Joe if he has to speak without assistance.
It was the commentary of author Thomas Friedman that got me asking if this is a legitimate tactic: could the Biden Team seriously be considering the idea that they could keep presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden off the debate stage? Could they really keep him from debating President Donald Trump going into November?
Nevermind that failing to debate Trump will cost Biden the election, Freidman’s idea was farcical, as are many of the things now written in the New York Times (like the 1619 Project, which its author now admits is a flight of fancy.) Friedman wrote:
First, Biden should declare that he will take part in a debate only if Trump releases his tax returns for 2016 through 2018. Biden has already done so, and they are on his website. Trump must, too. No more gifting Trump something he can attack while hiding his own questionable finances.
And second, Biden should insist that a real-time fact-checking team approved by both candidates be hired by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates — and that 10 minutes before the scheduled conclusion of the debate this team report on any misleading statements, phony numbers or outright lies either candidate had uttered. That way no one in that massive television audience can go away easily misled.
Tax returns? The Supreme Court has already ruled on this. Twice. Besides, no one who is fence-sitting on this race cares about tax returns (though, if we can also see Hunter Biden’s returns, maybe this could get really interesting!) As to his second point? Ok! Fact check away! But does Freidman not understand the double-edged sword of immediate fact checking? Has he never heard Joe Biden speak? Or, more accurately, fail to speak?
But what if this idea isn’t farcical? What if this is an actual idea in the minds of the political Left? Oh, sure, the Left could blow off the idea, and complain that I’m bringing up a red herring. But it’s not. A red herring is the Left asking, “Will Trump Leave Office?” if he loses the election. Recently, it’s been a litany of nonsense-merchants filling minutes on cable news and 280 characters on Twitter – with no proof – on how Trump is not going to accept the election results, or about how Trump is using law enforcement in Portland as a test run for fighting off election results in November.
Clearly, the only two people in recent memory who haven’t accepted election results are Stacey Abrams and Hillary Clinton. But what of Trump’s answer to Chris Wallace of Fox News, when he wouldn’t say that he would accept the election results? Well, that was a bunk question from Wallace. Should anyone accept results they don’t have yet? Should they accept results where fraud is alleged? Should they accept results where tampering is questioned? Of course, the answer is no. You go back, re-check, recount and confirm that the votes of the citizenry were honored and properly counted. When Trump said, “I have to see,” it was clear to rational people that those circumstances were the ones he was referring to. Or, he recognized the question as garbage and decided to give Wallace palpitations.
But back to this idea of Biden not debating. It started with Freidman, but it was clearly backed by the New York Times. And if tax returns are the first thing on their list, it seems very obvious that the Old Gray Narrative is telling Joe Biden not to debate Donald Trump.
Americans don’t reward cowardice all that much. They aren’t into those who hide from danger, or the truth. Biden has been hiding in his basement. Sure, coronavirus made it easy to do, but the Biden Team accepted their basement arrangement far too easily. Everyone has noticed that he’s hiding, including him! When Wallace interviewed President Trump, Trump said that if Joe Biden had to do an interview like this, he’d be, “on the ground crying for mommy.”
Would he? Well, we don’t know. Wallace – who graciously credited Trump for appearing on the show and answering tough questions – noted that Biden was invited, but declined. He didn’t decline being the first guest on Joy Reid’s new MSNBC show (Reid, it should be remembered, wrote anti-gay posts about then-Florida Governor Rick Scott, claimed she was hacked, never fully apologized for lying about not being hacked, never fully apologized for her comments that would have gotten a conservative fired on the spot and was rewarded with a prime-time slot on television.)
Ok, you go where the interview is easy (and Reid’s interview wasn’t just a softball, it was an unpacked snowball.) It makes sense that Biden stuck with the friendly confines. But his campaign thinks they can get disaffected Republicans. Wouldn’t more of them be watching Fox News than MSNBC? Sure, they may hate Trump. But that doesn’t mean they’re settling in for a night with Rachel Maddow.
Biden purposefully skips hard interviews. Biden avoids hard questions. His team cuts off anyone and everyone, ending interviews with their candidate aggressively:
Sure, he has time constraints. But Biden can’t find ten minutes for Chris Wallace? Meanwhile, President Trump is getting asked questions from Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports! (Don’t laugh, Portnoy is a smart guy and has an army of devoted followers. And there is no doubt Trump reached Americans he never would have reached without that conversation.)
My bet, for reasons clear to all of us, is that Biden’s Team is afraid of what will happen on a debate stage. My bet is that all of Biden’s admissions that he can, “…hardly wait” to debate Trump are a lie. They know Joe doesn’t have the acuity to handle 90 minutes of debate. Please note that I am not a doctor, and I am not diagnosing Joe Biden. I’ve just heard him talk, and he can’t verbalize four sentences without falling apart. You’ve heard the same. You believe the same. And, my bet is, so does the Biden Team.
The problem is what I mentioned earlier: Failing to debate Trump will cost Biden the election. Specifically, it will cost him the Midwest. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan: The fence-sitting voter will not vote for the guy who is afraid to debate. The Biden Team can claim tax returns or Covid-19 or the weather or the chupacabra for their reason not to show up, but none of those reasons work. None will be accepted. None will be tolerated.
Trump could pull a Trump and decide not to debate because the network or the moderators are against him. But he hasn’t done that yet. In fact, he’s pushing to add debates to the three already on the schedule. Trump sees what we see: Biden can not handle the debate stage once, let alone four times.
However many debates there are, there has to be at least one. America will not accept a debate-less election. America expects those who want to lead this nation to stand up in front of them and make their case. On this there is no debate for Joe Biden: Show up, and you might lose. Fail to show up, and you definitely will.
Now if you listen to the lame stream media, you’d think otherwise but in reality, the top 6 state’s administrations are what party?
Can you say DEMONCRAP?
I thought you could.
The convention was originally scheduled for Charlotte, N.C., but Trump canceled that event after that state’s governor couldn’t guarantee that the president could have large in-person events without a mask mandate. The president said they’ll do a “relatively quick” event in North Carolina on Aug. 24 to handle the nomination.
“We’ll have a very nice something,” he said. “We’ll figure it out. It’ll be online. It’ll be a little bit different.”

San Francisco Chronicle logoVandals cover Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s home in graffiti
A group of people vandalized Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s home early Tuesday, spray-painting graffiti, splashing red paint on the walls and setting off fireworks that targeted the house before dawn, according to neighbors and a spokesman for the mayor.
Oakland City council members failed late Tuesday night to take millions more in funding away from the Oakland Police Department, even though it appears many residents are demanding it.
The council was evenly split on the vote over a proposal by members Dan Kalb and Sheng Thao that would have reduced the police budget by another $2.75 million.
Mayor Libby Schaaf broke the tie by voting “no” on the proposal.
Their internal polling must be horrible if Der Gretchenführer is back on the list.
In June, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) was reportedly out of the running to be Joe Biden’s running mate, but Biden told a Michigan TV station Tuesday that she’s back under consideration.
Are you still considering Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as a potential vice presidential candidate?” WOOD TV reporter Rick Albin asked.
“Yes,” Biden replied.
That is an apparent reversal from June, when WWJ reported:
Prominent Democrats with knowledge of the process say Biden’s vetting committee has narrowed the choices to as few as six serious contenders after initial interviews.
One notable exclusion from that short list — Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
Politics are real. Politics sets priorities between competing public interests. The process is never perfect. It gets ugly when existing political interests work against your individual rights.
Let’s take an easy example first. Suppose you want to gather people together and voice your opinions. The government says you need a permit for a public gathering. The rationale is that we don’t want several groups trying to use the same space at the same time. Now you learn that there is a permit process, a required interview, and an application fee. The bureaucrats say they are busy and schedule your interview for nine months from now due to Covid-19. Clearly, your right of free speech has been infringed. Continue reading “”
The President has challenged a Democrat to a dual. Personally, I’m still confused by Joe Biden’s presidential nomination.
What’s his party thinking? With all due respect to my elders, Joe’s obvious medical issue doesn’t make for a very in-command Commander-in-Chief.
As I covered previously, Vice President Mike Pence believes something’s afoot — of the “Trojan horse” sort. Are the most radical elements of the American Left waiting to pull strings tied to Joe’s Geritol’d joints?
If so, how will they reach that day of political puppeteering? How might Biden perform in a debate against Donald “The Animal” Trump?
I can’t imagine it happening, but Trump’s at the ready.
